    Boneless wings with garbage sauce
    Vivian G.

Our first bar in the area for some brew, and it didnt disappoint. Drank a few porters from Great Lakes Brewing(yum) started chatting up the bartender (Danielle) who gave us info on some other places to hit, she was super nice. She also recommended the wings with the "garbage" sauce, and im so glad she did!!! Fricking delish!!!! We did boneless, & it was worth it.

Ancho citrus salad with blackened shrimp

Our office ordered from here for our staff meeting. Multiple options to satisfy everyone. I ordered the ancho citrus salad with blackened shrimp. Colorful and very flavorful! I could have used a little more dressing, but still delicious. All ingredients were fresh. The avocado was perfectly ripe. I was full before the final bite.

We enjoyed our meals and drinks! We made it just before the rush on Friday night. When we left around 7:30 there was a huge wait in the lobby. We all enjoyed our burgers and nachos. Service was a bit slow but the server was friendly and helpful.

Yikes. 30 minute projected wait. 1 hour to seat. 45 minutes once seated, we haven't even gotten water.

We arrived at 5:30 and were told a 30 minute wait. We waited an hour - they were busy, respect its move-in weekend. They finally seated us and an hour later without so much as eye contact from a server, we left. What a joke. I don't know about the food, I was never granted the privilege of tasting it. Ambiance was truly disappointing.

Nice comfy outdoor seating and very spacious and comfortable inside seating. Bathrooms very clean. Staff pleasant and easy going. Calamari appetizer perfectly cooked. Burgers very good but beef under-seasoned. Fries are below average. Instead, Hand cut fries would be ideal. Good selection of beers. NY Blood orange delicious. Prices little on high side but expected in this location. Would return.

Hit it up at lunchtime on a Sunday. Not too crowded. Nice clean modern interior. Acoustic are a bit loud. We were seated immediately. Our server came over quickly to take our order. Food came out fast. We had the sexy burger, there u be and the chicken club. All came with a basket of fries. They are known for their burgers and they sexy one got a goodreirw. All portions are generous. Everyone was pleased with their choices. Our server was difficult to find when we wanted the bill and water refills so I deducted 1 star.

    Bill $5.00 sodas

Right in downtown Ithaca was excited to try the food and a great location. Inside is a bit interesting -very sterile feeling. Our server Anthony was nice enough. I had the Ellicottville blood orange to start. The food was ok. Here's my issue with this restaurant they charge $5.00 for soda. I don't even think this included refills if it did we weren't told. I have been around the world and this is most I have ever paid for a soda. This is why our bill came to 87.48 for lunch. Also when they give you the pay with cash option you always feel like you are losing out, this is a first while dining out. Never have seen the pay with cash option at a restaurant only at gas stations. Would I return to this restaurant, no. We all know that soda costs pennies to sell. Overpriced lunch two thumbs down

    Fish & Chip were excellent

My daughter and I ate lunch here on a Saturday after visiting Ithaca College campus. We parked in public parking a few blocks away and walked to the restaurant. The space is bright and open, with a fun vibe. We were seated quickly, but that was the last thing that happened quickly. Our server, Charlie, was polite and charming and helpful, but sadly he was woefully over-worked with multiple very large parties and a number of smaller tables like ours to manage in his own. He did give us a heads up that the food might take awhile with the kitchen so backed up, so we ordered right away, but still we waited over 35 minutes for our food. The fish & chips were hot and crispy and the quality of the fish was good. The onion soup was great. The pretzel was waaaaay overpriced at $14 even though it is big, but ours was over baked and crispy and dry on one half...and it came at the same time as the food - it would have really helped us to have the pretzel to nibble on while we sat at the table for the long wait for our food. I'd give this place a try again if I were in town and I'd ask for Charlie's section again because he works hard!

    Hot honey pizza

My family and I loved Ithaca Ale House. The service was great, menu items explained well and the suggestions made on what's popular was spot on. Food came out fast but hot to order. The hot honey pie was delicious and one of the best pizzas I've had. The wings were amazing with both the garbage sauce and the spicy gold bbq, I recommend getting the wings naked and picking a few sauces to try. The buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich puts other chicken sandwiches to shame with its size and flavors. The onion rings were nice and crispy. The fries were great as well with their house made ketchup. When you are in Ithaca I recommend hitting up Ithaca Ale House.

A place that understands the assignment. Great food, creative drink menu, fantastic staff and very reasonable! A must stop when in the 607!

This was our second visit to the Ithaca Ale House. Great location. Comfortable with plenty of seating. Friendly and fast service. They have a nice array of beers! Both times we've found something we liked. Their food is excellent! This time I had the Reuben and it was awesome! I've already recommended this place to others and will continue to do so.

Ithaca Ale House is ideally situated across from Ithaca Commons in downtown. The interiors are modern and spacious with plenty of tables and booths, with some outdoor patio seating out front. They take reservations via Resy, which are probably a good idea for dinner on their busier nights. We started off ordering a wood-fired cheese pizza (5/5) to share. Having had great pizza in the NJ/NY area, I was not expecting much out of a brewpub type place, but the pizza was very good with great tasting sauce and cheese, with a perfectly chewy and tasty crust. It was so good, we contemplated ordering another. For meals, we went with the big sexy chick (chicken sandwich), the cheeseburger, and falafel, with sides of fries, onion rings, and Greek fries. All 3 of the main meals were well-liked and of really high quality with the big sexy chick (5/5) being the star of the show, but both the cheeseburger (4.75/5) and falafel (4.5/5) were great as well. We weren't the biggest fan of the oregano in the Greek fries (3/5), but both the fries (4/5) and the onion rings (4/5/5) were great without any excess oil. Our service (4.5/5) from Anthony was great, as he gave us great beer recommendations and checked in us just the right amount. All in all, Ithaca Ale House was a high quality meal that we all enjoyed and worthy of one of my rare 5 star Yelp ratings for a brewpub. They may also serve the best pizza in Ithaca.

    Smash Burger

Loved it. Sat at the outdoor patio. Right across the street from an undriveable shopping strip. Servers were friendly and attentive. Top notch beer selection. The smash burger blew my balls off.

My second visit, I tried the grapefruit soda (not artificial tasting at all), the Shark Juice (tasted a bit too much like cologne, wasn't a fan), and the Gigi (couldn't taste the hojicha, liked the concept more than the execution). I would get the Gigi again, but would pass on the Shark Juice. Sitting inside, I enjoyed the quieter and calmer atmosphere as well as the soft lighting. The interior decor is very cosy and slightly eclectic. I came with a friend on a weekday evening and it was pretty empty which was nice. The outdoor patio space is very nice- I like the lanterns on the walls and the whole space is quite charming. I left with a few mosquito bites though. Overall, I would recommend Argos Inn!

What a s*^%%# little bar…read more I came here at the recommendation of a local, but these folks are running game on drunk kids late at night. I ordered a double tanqueray and tonic and watched the guy pour the drink. Poorly. (Pun intended) He put the tonic gun on full blast and dribbled tonic into the glass. The bottle stopper was closed, so he had to finger it open as he continued to blast tonic into the glass. I could tell the drink was mostly tonic and said, "Hey friend, that's not a double!" He looked offended and swore it was because they don't use anything to measure their tonic, they just rely on the bottle dribbling out the so-called proper amount. I should have walked away before he sat it in front of me. I took one sip and surprise-surprise, it's basically just tonic water with a touch of a tanqueray. This was my first drink of the night, and I know it's wrong, but neither the guy nor the girl behind the bar were interested in making it properly. Pour out two shots. It's not that hard. But if you're purposefully pouring short booze to drunk people knowing you'll get away with it, it IS too hard. Don't come here. I know at least one local likes it, but nobody likes being charged double for a single anything. Or maybe the play here is to just order stuff in bottles. That way they can't cheat you out of liquor I paid $14 for a glass of tonic and MAYBE a shot of tanqueray. MAYBE. I feel like I paid $14 for the privilege of writing a crappy review. Order something off the menu."* Shocked by such an unprofessional response, I remained calm and respectful, yet the situation escalated further. The bartender threatened to call the police on me for no reason--simply because I requested a drink. Then, without cause, the bouncer Eric aggressively grabbed me, thrashing me around and refusing to let go, even though I repeatedly and calmly told him to release me. Despite being completely non-confrontational and not being violent back, he continued to manhandle me in a way that was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. He was so aggressive that he broke one of my nails and injured my wrist. It was obvious that I was being targeted and mistreated because I am a Hispanic woman--if I had been a man or accompanied by one, I highly doubt I would have been treated this way. After filing a police report, I was informed by law enforcement that this establishment already has a bad reputation for being discriminatory. This speaks volumes about how they operate and how little they care about treating people with basic dignity and respect.
