[[HIGHLIGHT]]Delightful little spot. Popped by after a long trip and this was a great stop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super kid friendly with booster chairs, chalk, coloring books and drawing supplies.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very friendly service. Seems like it would be a great breakfast place, but that's only available until 11am. Caveat that I'm coming from Chicago, the value is incredible at 2 dishes with free sides for $33 after tax. Pulled pork - 4/5. Nice and flavorful. Chicken sandwich - 3.5/5. Fresh focaccia bread, lots of cheese, well seasoned tomato. The only disappointment was the grilled chicken was totally bland - couldn't eat it even with salt and pepper. But once I took it off, tasted great. Side of mac and cheese - 4/5. Super cheesy and well made. Side of fruit - 3/5. What you'd expect. Some fruit of mixed levels of freshness

Scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and biscuits, very good but heavy meal

Interesting little spot outside of town. Portions were huge! Everything hit the spot. Service was lovely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was busy on a cold rainy day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean spacious, with a country barn feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They make everything from scratch even the jam!

Wow so we've been passing this place daily since moving to the area since it's on our way to daycare and I wish we tired it soon it was awesome. It looks like a small possible hole in the wall when you pass it, it's absolutely gorgeous inside, super cute. The food was amazing. The staff was also amazing. One of my kids had an absolute meltdown and the waitress was beyond awesome about it. She brought the kids Dino's to play with and stickers, we were blown away the the service. But the food it looks ok but it tasted amazing everything was so good. My husband had a breakfast sandwich, the kids had the French toast and I have the huevos. Totally plan to go back.

Cozy atmosphere in a lovely part of NY state. Breakfast and lunch only, which was just what we wanted. In addition to the menu, there is a daily specials board. Most items locally sourced--love that. The jelly selection was unique: plum, hot pepper, or grapefruit marmalade--it's based on what the farm stand across the road has to offer. I ordered the medium portion sausage gravy on home fries. It is served with a fried egg on top, and big chunks of fresh sausage was super good. Mild and flavorful. A tad bit salty for my taste, but the perfect amount of pepper! Spouse ordered the Blueberry pancakes (2) which were on the special board. Served with local sausage and maple syrup. Delicious, but he could have done with just one--they were very substantial! My apologies for the already cut up looks of our food--we jumped right in, and then I thought of posting a review because first bites we yummy I recommend this quaint location in Lansing, NY. Fresh, homemade flavors and friendly service to boot!

    Fried buttermilk chicken sandwich

If you live in or are on vacation in the Lansing, NY area you know there are not a lot of places to eat. I actually didn't know this place was open for business until one of my friends mentioned it. I don't enjoy driving into Ithaca or up to the Triphammer area so I tried this place out for lunch. I got the fried buttermilk chicken sandwich and the sweet potatoes fries to-go. As I waited for my order I saw various other dishes get delivered to the folks around me. Each one looked very good and a lot of food. If you want super fast food service I would say avoid this place. If you want good food and great quality that is cooked to order fresh this is the place. The wait was reasonable and the service was fine. When I opened the to-go box I could see the fried chicken sandwich was huge! I headed back to Myers park where we are camping and dived into my lunch. The sandwich and sweet potato fries were great. The coleslaw and topping on the fried chicken was also great. The fried chicken was juicy with lots of flavor. No additional toppings were needed. The sweet potato fries were also great. Overall, everything was excellent for a modest sized diner. I did look through the menu as I waited and I can see I will need to come back and try their breakfast. Lots more lunch options that all looked great too. So...the next time we are in town this is the place we will grab lunch at.

Breakfast burrito! This was pulled pork, and was delicious!

Had breakfast with friends here a couple of times in early 2022. Good food, well prepared! Nice atmosphere, lots of room. Breakfast standards and great specials. Will be back.

My mom and I were on our annual fall getaway to the Finger Lakes and we had to try this breakfast spot. O-M-G!!! I'm so glad we did and we can't wait to go back! First of all, don't let the name of the place fool you, this is the furthest thing from a roadhouse. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a quaint country chic diner that feels like you're in someone's dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] THE BISCUITS! Best biscuit I've ever had and I've had plenty in the south. These biscuits are giant, hearty and delicate at the same time and crispy buttery outside and soft pillowy inside. And they serve them with their homemade jams of the day! Made with local flour, my mom had to go buy the flour at the co-op immediately after breakfast. Along with jams of the day, is their veggie of the day. So our breakfasts came with roasted veggies. My mom said she's now going to add roasted veggies to her breakfast rotation. We couldn't finish all our food. Very generous portions. So we had leftovers for the next day. The service was also stellar. They take such good care of you that you feel like you know them personally. And we really appreciated the conversation and recommendations of waterfalls to visit in the area. We took her advice and did just that! We can't wait to go back!

East Shore Roadhouse was a great find off the beaten path!! The menu has so many awesome looking dishes on it so it was tough to order. We started with the fried mushrooms which came with a creamy horseradish dip. I have never had fried mushrooms before and this dish blew me away. The mushrooms came out piping hot and with a crisp batter on the outside but still tender and juicy inside, and it paired perfectly with the cool creamy dip. For my main I had the cubano which did not disappoint-- the sandwich was uniquely prepared with a thick cut of ham, pork, pickles and gooey cheese on a seasoned slice of ciabatta. So extremely satisfying and delicious! Can't wait to return.

Local eggs, sumptuous sausage, crispy home fries, fruit and Copper Horse Coffee. Huevos Rancheros in the background. Delish!

Very happy to have this lovely cafe in Lansing. The new owners are welcoming, talented, outgoing and service minded. We have been in twice for breakfast and it has been EXCELLENT both times. Lots of locally sourced ingredients...from the eggs, to the breads, to the sausage and coffee. Delicious, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. Extensive and varied menu. Glad to have them in our neighborhood. We are regulars now!

I accidentally missed my reservation because it was the day before and I hadn't realized but he still accommodated and we were able to be seated still in the barstool area. The food is amazing. I always order Eggs "Edinburgh." Best poached eggs I have ever eaten. I used to think poached eggs were mid and then this place opened my third eye. I don't even liked smoked salmon but they do something special here it is so good. I can't remember the dessert's name and its not on the menu but they have this orange/poppyseed/coconut cake that is the best cake I have ever had in my entire life. I feel like I'm glazing so hard it doesn't even sound genuine, but my truth is every single other brunch place is mid compared to here. It is a very cutely decorated place and the servers are so kind. I would go back to Ithaca just for Allechant's Eggs Edinburgh and cake. I think of their food often. I chase that high that those eggs gave me, but nothing ever compares unfortunately, and I am just left disappointed. One day I will be back for you, Allechant.

Great spot for dinner in Ithaca! I love the house-made desserts!…read more I tried the mussels for appetizer which were very good. Not too heavy or salty. For mains I tried the vodka gnocchi and the cod stew. Both were excellent! I think if I were to return I would get the cod stew though- it is much more unique. Only complaint about the gnocchi is I wish there was more cheese on top. Desserts were divine! I love how they display them all on the table by the fireplace! We tried the pumpkin cake and the poppyseed coconut almond cake. I truly don't think I could pick a favorite. I wish the whipped cream was also homemade though. I came for dinner on a weekend night (with reservations). Service was solid. Overall, I would return! I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch!

It felt like the servers enjoyed their jobs and were not trying to take any shortcuts and were genuinely trying to make it a positive experience. The food was good. Overall, the food wasn't amazing. It was not the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had in my life and the poached eggs felt flat and somewhat small. However, there hashbrowns were probably the best I've ever had. They were very crispy on the outside. Like ASMR crispy. But flaky and buttery on the inside. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated. It was very cold inside on the day that I was there, but it was also very hot outside and so this may have been deliberate. Aesthetically it's very pleasant. The bathroom is very clean and has a really nice changing table in it which is a plus for parents.
