I went to this Five Guys in July 2012 for a vacation. This is my first time and I heard their veggie burgers are very good. The cashier lady was pretty and helpful. I would like to say something about the guy who worked there that day. He was mopping down every single table and chair, every corner. The moment I was wondering that I have never seen an employee worked so serious in Los Angeles, don't mention someone who works in a fast food restaurant?? NO WAY!! All of sudden, a lady pointed to a guy and this guy hit the bug immediately and he got stung. The lady told him he may need medical attention. He thought it was cool and just shrugged. The cashier (a lady with an Eastern European accent) was very short and kind of rude. She didn't smile once and kind of seemed annoyed we were making her work by ordering food. My mom asked what bread the grilled cheese is made on, and she looked at my mom like she was an idiot for not knowing it was made on a hamburger bun (which is not the intuitive/traditional choice, so I don't know why she was so condescending). I have a gluten allergy... five guys usually can handle it without any problems... they did today too, only people think that a gluten allergy also means plain... with no condiments... or mushrooms... or other vegetables. I don't send food back to kitchens, ever so I didn't send it back. I ate it and it was fine. It could have been so much better. We with celiac disease miss out on a ton when it comes to food. After getting some great Nags Head beach video footage, my sons and I headed over to 5 Guys. Apparently they had eaten at one in Ohio and they swore I'd like it. I ordered the double cheeseburger and a small fries (at the fervent suggestion of the counter guy). The two small fries fed the three of us with plenty left over for my daughters still at the beach. So, the best burger I ever had was at a Texas burger joint (and its been a thing of legend in our family) so when I say this was easily the second or third best burger I've had, you know its in a special league. Staff was courteous and friendly, food was excellent and the price didn't seem excessive. We basically had the place to ourselves between lunch and dinner, I'm sure that doesn't happen too often. :) Great burger, excellent fries, great value. Ate at this location twice while on vacation. It lives up to the five guys food! The staff was great, friendly, and actually brought your food out to you. Only downside I can think of is this place is always busy and it is hard to find a seat. They also have great new drink machines that you can pick normal soda like coke and add flavors to it for instance cherry, grape, etc.. Def will go back when I'm back there on vacation. Prices a bit high for fast food, and when you leave here, you will wish you hadn't eaten it. However, the burgers are very good. Do yourself a favor and do not order the large fries unless you have 6 people with you. The cup looks like a decent portion, but when you add the 3 monsterous scoops of fries they throw into your bag after they had filled the cup you get pounds of fries that make your bag look appropriately greasy. Gotta knock it down a star cause they franchised and raised prices. read more

Awesome service and food! Just wanted to say thank you to your staff for accommodating our large take-out order (for 20 very hungry people.) From my initial phone call to pick up everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Usually when we order take out from other places all the food is mixed up, cold, wrong, etc so we were hesitant to order in. But the FIVE GUYS staff had everything labeled and hot for us. After a long drive from Norfolk, VA, I was eager to have my first ever taste of Five Guys. The bacon cheeseburger was indeed a winner, and yes, the order of fries is huge. Maybe it is a little greaser than In-N-Out and it is more expensive. However, it offers a superior product IMO with comparable service. For this reason, I give Five Guys the edge. read more

Such... Excellent food. It can be hard to hear your number being called, but 5 Guys + outside seating is fantastic.

This is a very fast paced, and loud eating establishment...don't go in expecting a nice, quiet dinner. My burger was excellent. The chocolate shake was delicious. I love the idea of having peanuts to munch on while waiting for your food. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was due to the fact that an employee was sweeping around our chairs and table while we ate. read more

We went to this location this past summer and it was the best five guys burger we've ever had. The fries were good as per usual and we will definitely be returning. Great place to stop by if your super hungry and craving a good juicy burger. This place gets pretty busy during the summer as do most places down in the outer banks. read more
