It's true that if you've been to one of the many burger chains in London, you've kind of been to them all. However, each one guarantees good- if not great- quality, and a few signature twists of their own. This place is no different, and conveniently-located near one of London's most famous landmarks.
The interior of this one leaves a bit to be desired, with it's quirky Scrabble-looking signage and funky colors, but the menu is the same as everywhere else. I was a bit miffed that I had to get up and go order at the bar after being seated, but the menu was straightforward enough that it didn't take long. Service was also a bit lukewarm, but whatevs.
It being my first time here, I thought it best to go with one of their benchmark signatures and ordered The Legend burger with smoked applewood cheese and a side of sweet potato fries with a bacon mayonnaise dipping sauce. I have to say, that was one darn good burger. The meat was perfectly cooked, the sauce they used balanced out all the flavors nicely, and those fries were cooked to such perfection, I had to force myself to use the dipping sauce so it wouldn't go to waste. There was nothing wrong with this meal. And the price wasn't bad, either.
They also have a nice selection of cheap cocktails, beers, and dessert on the menu, but for all that, you're going to need an extra stomach or two.
