How weird, I'm rating a 'fast food' place. I actually have zero complaints with my experience. I made my order, two bacon cheeseburgers, one without a bun and fries. The checker was super helpful, asking if the request for no bun was allergy or preference, then asked how we would like it, a lettuce wrap or salad. When they called my number, I went to pick up my food and realized that I didn't ask for my fries to have Cajon seasoning on them, I asked if they could help with that, and the guy was overjoyed to help add some spice to our fries. Normally I wouldn't have reviewed this, but this location seems to get a lot of poor reviews. read more

WOW!! First time ever going here and they just opened. I walked into an awesome atmosphere that was filled with articles about the how they rank number#1. Very cool looking surroundings especially with the bags of potatoes they have stacked up that they use genuine Idaho potatoes. Upon stepping up to the register to order the cashier was full of smiles and welcomed us with open arms. I then seen so many cooks in the back near the grill. So we ordered our food. I ordered the Bacon Cheese with mushrooms and extra cheese, with a small French fry. Paid for the food and then sat down. I could not believe how clean the restaurant was even the ceiling was clean. 7 minutes goes by and our number was called very quick service. Went up and grabbed a brown bag. Sat back down and opened my burger from the tinfoil and omg did it look and smell good. I took a bite and again omg it was so tasty and everything was so fresh down to the mushrooms. Hate some fries and they good as well with perfect amount of salt. I could not believe how busy it got we were order #8 and when we left they were already calling out order #37. I can see why there are so many in the kitchen. "It takes a village to make a great Cheeseburger" haha. I highly recommend going here no matter where you live. It will definitely be worth the trip. This place has "THE BEST BURGERS IN TOWN". I am not a big burger person, but this is the only place my wife and I go to for burgers now.

Food is good and service is fine. Lots of choices for burgers and dressings. Fries are the best and we love the shakes. Servings are good size. We recommend five guys for a quick meal. My only draw back is sometimes there is no clean tables. But unfortunately that is the way of things lately with staff shortage. read more

Man, I'm just so disappointed. I normally love five guys, and they normally get five stars. But tonight? They're lucky to be getting two. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was there were a lot of people waiting for their food. I thought they were busy. After waiting an unusually long time to get our food, I think the problem was just the restaurant taking a long time to churn out orders. Well, you know we all crave those delicious fries made with peanut oil from time to time. I like mine doused with Cajun seasoning, of course. Like many other people have mentioned, this place is hurting for staff badly. I went there at 2:15 in the afternoon, when it was dead, and I still had to wait 25 minutes for a burger and fries. The two employees that were working behind the grill we're heavily engaged in a loud conversation about the manager trying to put pressure on one of them to take over another store. I think if they kept the conversation to their orders, they would expedite the food more quickly. I was in the mood for something not so typical, so I opted for sautéed mushrooms and onions on my burger. The burger and the Cajun fries were good. Their prices have definitely increased significantly since I last went there a year or so ago. Be prepared to spend over 20 bucks for a small Cheeseburger, small fries and small soda, easily. I was a little bit disappointed on the portion size of fries. Five guys is normally known for rarely giving you a generous portion of fries, and that definitely wasn't the case during this visit. The Five Guys Burgers and Fries on South Willow Street is now OPEN, located behind Chili's and next door to Verizon Wireless. I stopped in here for dinner on the way home and the place was very busy with plenty of staff on hand. Five Guys is definitely my favorite burger chain on the East Coast, which is expanding at a fast pace, especially in the Northeast US. Conversely, In-N-Out Burger is my favorite West Coast burger chain. The guys I work with have been raving to me about how awesome the food is at Five Guys, since they've opened in Nashua, which has been crazy busy on the weekends. The big boss at my company also raved about his Five Guys experience during a layover at Dulles Airport. I've shown them my brief Yelp review of the Five Guys in Schenectady, NY, which I wrote in 2007. I've been enjoying the burgers and fries at Five Guys for almost 4 years since they've opened up several stores in Upstate NY. Now I don't have to travel too far to enjoy the great food at Five Guys. The menu is simple offering burgers, fries, hot dogs, veggie and grilled cheese sandwiches, and self serve Coke fountain drinks. The burgers and fries are very tasty and fresh. They only use fresh ground beef (never frozen) for the burgers and fresh cut potatoes for the fries, deep fried in peanut oil. The potatoes today came from Shoshone, ID. The regular hamburger/cheeseburger is actually a double burger and the little burgers are a single patty. The extra toppings for the burgers are free. Complementary roasted peanuts are available here from the big boxes. This evening, I ordered a little hamburger ($3.49) with several toppings including lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, pickles, ketchup, and mayo and a regular fries ($2.69), which is actually piled into the paper bag and enough fries for three people. The food was sooo good! The burger was very juicy and flavorful and the fresh fries were crispy and lightly salted, just fantastic! This Five Guys location is definitely on my list for dinner stops on the way home. If this location does well, let's hope that Five Guys will open up a store in Concord, close to my workplace. read more

I have ordered delivery from them 3 times during the Covid-19 pandemic. They get it exactly right, every time. The food is simple: burgers and fries. The regular burger includes 2 patties, but you can order just one. The toppings list is out of this world (jalapenos, bacon and A1, anyone?), and you can get it on a bun, on a plate or wrapped in lettuce, so order it exactly how you like it. Then there are the fresh cut fries - excellent with any burger you choose. A regular fries easily splits between two people, or you could get two smalls if you each want your own massive potato's worth. Not a burger fan? No worries, there are always hot dogs for the more discerning individual, usuallyof a younger age, but do you - no judgements here Finally, if you are in need of something sweet to follow or finish your meal, add a couple of flavors to one of their thick milkshakes. My favorite is chocolate banana, my housemate likes chocolate malt. To sum it up, regular fast-food is okay in a pinch, but if you want freshly made and cooked burgers and fries from a place that focuses on doing that well, this is the place. read more

It's sad I really like the burgers here but I have 2 major complaints that make it impossible for me to give it more than 2 stars. The order system is whack, and the prices are ridiculous. Today I ordered online, went to pick up my burger and got told just a minute. I wait like 15 mins patiently until I got sick of waiting and finally asked the guy is my order done. He grabs it off of the shelf. So basically my order was done for 15 minutes, and because they didn't communicate I wasted 15 mins and got a cold burger. Last time I was here they gave away my order to a guy named Bryan instead of my name, "Ryan". Like, let's be real accidents happen. But I've never had a smooth experience ever picking up my food it's ridiculous. We love Five Guys, we love the food and gluten free options. But they need better customer service. The delivery guys failed to bring our shakes the last two of three deliveries. We ordered through the Five Guys app so they should work to rectify the situation. The first time they offered to take the shakes totaling $15 off our bill. That never happened even after two follow up calls. Last night they forgot the shakes again and I attempted to call the store only to reach a centralized answering service that said the line was busy and they were unable to get me in touch with anyone at the store. They said I'd have to keep calling back until a line opened. I gave up after trying over an hour and 19 attempts. I tried again this morning thinking it would be less busy at opening and now I can't even reach anyone at the main call center. I'm now in for over $25 in lost shakes. I realize these things happen but would expect better customer service from Five Guys. This is very disappointing. read more

Huge let-down. After hearing raves and reviews of five guys burgers and fries I had to sample what everyone was excited about. This location on south willow street opened up and I thought it was time. I went in expecting great burgers and great fries seeing as their business is built on this concept. The burgers are cooked well done for safety reasons which I cannot blame on them. That fact though does detract why I go here over a local pizzeria. The burger was nothing special. Simple and plain the price though was clearly a huge retail mark up, 3.50 for something barely better then a burger king burger for a buck. The French fries I had accompanying my burger were terrible nothing better then homemade fries nothing to make them stand out I got both regular and seasoned. I recommend regular because they have a carnival feel, the seasoned on the other hand were awful. The shouting orders is of course a showmanship situation. Build some fun in the ordering process. It of course is annoying since they shout while right next to each other I mean it is not a fish market. I am ordering a burger not ordering lobster off the back of a boat. This chain is a huge let-down. Save your money go to a red robin or a sonic or just support a local pizzeria. read more

Five Guys reminds me of the privately owned and best burger joint in CA: In n Out Burger. Both prepare their burgers fresh to order and do not use frozen patties. As in In n Out, what separates Five Guys out from the other three major burger players is the quality, freshness, taste, and service. They do not need teams of food "scientists" locked away in secret laboratories trying to come up with the latest Mc Anything because although their menu is sparse, everything on it they prepare with an outstanding detail to quality. My burger was loaded including grilled jalepenos and was terrific. Everything about it was prepared properly. Yes, they do grill their burgers to well-done; however, the beef is so fresh that you don't notice, even if you are like me and like your burgers cooked on the rare side. The french fries were a revelation. They were fresh and cooked to crispy perfection. Again, unlike McDonalds that needs to add thirty or so ingredients to their frozen McFrankenstein Fries, the Five Guys version is reminiscent of what comes out of my own kitchen when I prepare homemade fries: potatoes, oil, and salt. That's it and that's all you need. The serevice was friendly and polite. While there was a wait in the order line, there are buckets of peanuts to eat while you are waiting. I'm torn. I loved the burger and the fries were divine. But I and one of my eating companions felt horribly ill after eating there last night. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and the eight of us piled into line for our fill of this new arrival in town. The place was hopping, and from what I've heard about other Five Guys restaurants, this is common even after the owning week. For famished folks in line, there are free peanuts and even little baskets for you to carry them in as you move ahead in line. Big bags of potatoes separate the wait line from the tables. Once you place your order, you're forced to squish in a small nook positioned between the food prep area and the condiments/soda fountain area. Not the best of designs, but probably the best feasible one considering the size and arrangement of the space. The burgers are made in a very efficient assembly line style. Cashiers yell patty amounts to the meat cooks. The whole area was pretty loud. (Aka not a first date type of place.) The burger was good. All toppings are free( (yay!). I got the "little" bacon cheeseburger which has one patty. The regular size has two patties. Juicy, tasty, but the bun was smooshed! The bun is nothing special, since it comes from a bag of cheat, white, air-filled buns. The amount of fires you get in a large is insane. Even a bit too much for two people to share. But good and hot and tasty. Cooked in peanut oil so they're a bit healthier. But boy will you feel sick afterward. It is heavy, greasy food. read more

I fully enjoyed my 5 Guys experience. The Manchester South Willow location was my first 5 Guys visit, and it didn't disappoint. The staff was quick, the food was good, and the ambiance was a lot of fun. I ordered a small (single patty) bacon cheeseburger, which was an entire meal in itself, and also a small fries. "Small" is a misnomer, as I had enough leftover for a second full meal. I will absolutely return. The fact the company goes out of its way to provide high-grade food products is what sets it apart from all the major fast food chains. After watching the segment about Five Guys success on CNBC, I had to try them out. It was a little bit of a let down after all the hype. I was ready for some out-of-this-world burger and fries, but it didn't happen. I'm guessing because I like my beef a little on the rare side and the policy here is "well done" only. The bacon was well done, crispy, and tasteless. Fries were just average (onion rings would be a good addition to the menu). The girlfriend ordered a Veggie Cheese sandwich which was basically a burger minus the patty. She wasn't too happy, but then again she rarely is. I've been twice, after reading all the hype. The burgers are very good. The little burger is the same size as the big one, but it's one burger instead of two stacked together. They cook them well done which is the way I like it. I had the big one the first time and the little one the second time. I'll stick with the little one as it's cheaper and very filling. I felt the french fries were good, but not as great as I expected, from what I had read. The burgers have a soft quality to them. It's a combination of very fresh rolls and meat in the burger. The cheese they use is thick and you can't miss it - as you do on some burgers. The fried onions are terrific and plentiful. I tried the bacon cheeseburger last night. The bacon was broken into smaller pieces and arranged so as to cover the burger and the "count" was very good. The overall attention to detail is very impressive. The people who started this chain have answered a very simple question - "why can't they make a good fast food burger?". My only serious complaint with this place, and it's big one - is the non-stop shouting of the staff. I guess the idea is to differentiate this chain from the other burger joints. It does indeed make them different, but not in a good way. The burgers themselves provide all the difference needed. Friendly service, though I've noticed they keep it COLD in all of their locations - major turn off for me, I want to sit and enjoy my food, not shiver through the entire consumption experience. A most friendly staff whenever I go, but I was there on Thursday night, 3/16, not so good. Fries were soggy because they were loading too many baskets of fries in the same vat.
