First, I've got to get something off my chest. If you're going to put BRGR in your name rather than BURGER then why in the world do you also include BAD rather than BD?! I mean, come on! But aside from my grammatical criticism, the food is quite good. Competitively priced and generous portions. Their BLACK BRGR (which should be BLCK BRGER ...) is "interesting" but kind of like black squid ink pasta is something you need to really want for blck reasons as it's just not a color that really appeals. For licorice, no problem. For Oreo cookies - of course. But for a delicious burger bun? Mmmm - no. Just too conjuring of "burnt to a crisp" for me. Stopped into Bad Burger right after opening and ordered the standard Fat Burger. Overall, the burger itself was excellent. I asked them to add their special black sauce, which was very tasty, and the double-patty smash burger was on point. All toppings were correct, and the bun was pleasantly moist--huge plus, since a dry bun can ruin an otherwise good burger. From a pure burger standpoint, they nailed it. That said, the experience had a few hiccups. When I arrived, there appeared to be some construction or repair work going on, and the dining room was essentially closed off, with ordering and service happening at the counter only. More frustrating were the order issues. They initially forgot my milk slush, which I had to ask for when picking up my food. Then, once I got back to the car and opened everything up, I realized the fries were missing the cheese and chili I had specifically requested. Bottom line: the burger was great and clearly the star here, but the execution on the rest of the order and the opening-time disorganization took away from the experience. Decided to eat here after seeing their truck among the parade. It's pretty spacy in here and you can sit at a table for 2 or 6 OR sit at the bar. I needed a drink and asked the bartender for something to fit the theme (Xmas/Happy Holidays) and went for a Strawberry Margarita. It was quite fruity and didn't mind it not being strong since I had a long day. As for my dinner, I was told the Black Burger was the spiciest they got and went for that with fries. I plowed through half the burger before finally tasting any spice. I think the problem was they didn't bother spreading the sauce, just smacked it where ever it landed and left it there. This was my first night arriving in Manchester, New Hampshire for graduation, and I was not familiar with the town yet. I explored a little, but since I did not really know my way around and was looking for something convenient to eat, I decided to stop at Bad Brgr. I figured a burger and fries would be a safe choice. Unfortunately, the burger lived up to the name. It was not terrible in a shocking way, but it was definitely disappointing. It tasted like a basic fast-food burger and did not feel worth going out of my way for. I expected something better from a place centered around burgers, but what I received was just average at best. The service experience was also not very welcoming at first. It looked like they were preparing for live entertainment, and there was someone sitting near the door, possibly to separate guests coming for the music from those just coming in for food. Without ever looking up, he asked whether I was there for entertainment or just to eat. I told him I was only getting food, but he never made eye contact or offered any kind of greeting. It was not a great first impression. The girl at the register, however, was friendly, and I appreciated that. I took the burger back to my hotel room, hoping it would be good, but it was just underwhelming. Maybe this place is better if you are going for the live music or nightlife atmosphere, especially if you enjoy rock, punk, or that type of entertainment. Rochester location While the beef quality was good, unfortunately our overall experience was disappointing. We waited about 25 minutes for our food, and then my husband had to wait an additional 15 minutes for his burger because it was not served with the rest of our order. When it finally arrived, the bun was soggy. The fries and tater tots tasted like standard frozen products, which did not match the price point of the meal. The kitchen staff appeared to be working very hard, but the front-of-house service seemed somewhat disorganized and overwhelmed during our visit. Additionally, the fountain soda area was not very clean, and the machine was overflowing ice onto the floor when I used it. I am not usually a fan of burgers that are cooked flat because the edges are usually crispy and I don't like that but the whole thing was perfectly cooked and juicy. I also got cheese fries, which are HUGE but I did not love the cheese sauce. The fries reminded me of a place back home that I love - the oil was bringing the perfect fry flavor out. It is located in downtown, so street parking is your only option. Excellent burger spot! My husband and I enjoyed our meal. We had the bad burger and the chop chz with a large fry. All of the food was hot, fresh and perfectly prepared. The customer service was also acceptable. The fried were thin and crispy and the serving sizes were good. The restaurant had a full bar and decent drink offerings. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. The restaurant was a little cold! We actually ate our meal with our coats on. It was a particularly cold day; but it was a bit frosty. This was a 3 star burger at a 2 star venue. First the burger. Two thin patties smashed with cheese. Cheese had slightly fake taste to it. Bun not warmed or toasted. Lettuce and tomato was cold and seemed fresh. Lettuce is shredded which I happen to like. Taste was fine. Nothing to write home about either way. Landing a 3. Inside was NOT my thing. Music was so loud walking in that we could not hear the boy at the counter. We asked him to speak up. He said he's knew music was too loud. They had just opened and the floors clearly had not been swept since their last open. They weee gross. Some of the tables were dirty. Tables are small, metal, and ours was wobbly. Bathrooms were NASTY. All of this scared me as to how clean the kitchen is. I'm guessing I'd never eat here again if I saw it based on the bathrooms and dining room where they let us see. All burgers are double-patty, which I didn't know, not that I'm complaining. My nephew proclaimed "this is the best burger I have ever had!" I thought mine was good, but not particularly yummy. BAD BRGR officially opened on April 11, 2024 in the former Bond BBQ space on Elm St at Concord St. The place offers an order at the counter burger bar with ample table seating and a a full service bar area with up to 10 beers on tap and mixed drinks, bar seating and big TVs, Upbeat music plays over the speakers and they seem to have space for live music too. I've enjoyed their burgers at their other seasonal location in Hampton Beach on really hot days. The previous review in this listing is from 2022 and actually of the seasonal Hampton Beach location and not this Manchester location. On my last visit there, the owner Ian (best name ever!) took care of me there and offered me a complementary cold Coke as I waited for my tasty brgr. They were also blasting nonstop rap in the restaurant. Anyways, the BAD BRGR food offerings include build-a-brgr (starts with 2 smashed patties with toppings choices), special brgrs, bad dogs, fries (chili, chz, bacon, onions, jalapenos, tomato), nachos, pretzel bites, milk slushes (they have a booze option), cooler drinks (Coke products), and a kids menu (burgers, bad dog, nuggets, grilled cheese, PB&J/Fluff). The prices are moderate here, similar to Five Guys without the nuts. The prices at the time of this posting seem the same as 2022 at the Hampton Beach location. I stopped by BAD BRGR in Manchester after a meeting. I ordered the BAD BRGR ($12 plus tax), side of Fries ($3 plus tax) and a DRTY MNKY milk slush ($6 plus tax). My food was brought over to my seat when it was ready. The BAD BRGR had two very juicy grilled smashburger patties, topped with melted cheddar, firm bacon strips, jalapenos, onions, & mustard on a soft sesame seed bun. I have been really excited to try this place once it opens up. I love the advertisement "the worst thing to happen to Manchester". We tried their burger taco during Manchester's Taco tour and were looking forward to coming back to officially trying their smashburgers. My boyfriend could be the Hamburgerler as burgers are his favorite food and he very much enjoyed his burger. We were greeted by one of the staff who asked if we've been here before, he then explained the menu to us. I built my own burger with lettuce, tomato, cheese, jalapenos, and avocado. I enjoyed the kick from the jalapenos although I think next time I will do without as I found them a bit overpowering and took away from the rest of the burger. We also split "bad fries" which could be a meal alone as its topped with jalapenos, cheese sauce, tomatoes, onions and bacon. They were very filling, and we were already full from the burgers.
