Running errands all Saturday morning had me STARVING and in search of a burger. I was in the area of Five Guys and decided to give it a try. I decided to order the "smaller" portion sizes. I settled on a little cheeseburger, little fries, and a small drink...which cost me about $13!!! $13 for fast food burgers and fries just doesn't do it for me. The cheeseburger was good and worth going back for...not too greasy and well seasoned. The fries on the other hand were subpar. Some were cooked perfectly while others were soggy and greasy. The fry portion is pretty substantial. The little size is enough to feed a family of 4. This location is efficient, and consistent! The staff is always walking around and wiping tables and sweeping the floors- and the bathrooms stay clean all the times I have visited. Wait times for food are reasonable even in busy days. Depending on the staff, they are extremely generous with the fries (as most five guys locations are) we ordered a regular size last time and got an entire bag of fries! Sometimes I will tell them ahead of time not to add the 'extra' scoop if I'm just eating alone bc I know it'll get in thrown away and that's just wasteful. Five Guys is my favorite chain hamburger. Burgers are freshly cooked and I love their topping selection. Especially the mushrooms. But ever better are their fries. Super fresh, cooked to perfection and with very generous portions. And to top it off, they have Coke Zero available at the If I am not too stuffed from the meal, they have peanuts out so I can top off. Every Five Guys location I have been to has been good, but the Papillion location is the best. I drop in almost every Saturday while returning from guitar lessons so the staff knows me. I remember eating at Five Guys several years back and it being delicious. So recently, I decided to take my wife and give it a shot again. When I got there, I only waited in line for a couple minutes. Once I got my number, I realized there were 6 people in front of me. So it was busy and the lines were moving. They rang up the wrong size of fries and ended up giving me the larger one when I brought it to their attention. Very friendly and responsive employees. Now to the food. I got the bacon cheeseburger and my wife got the cheeseburger. They have a good assortment of toppings and the burgers are nice, hot, and juicy. The regular burger was a double. To the fries....Five Guys is known for quantity and quality! The container for the fries was a 20oz cup. They take the fry scoop and scoop a load of fries in the cup with extra still on the scoop. They dump that into bag and then dump more fries on top!!! The large fry is nearly $5 but it would feed 4-6 normal adults!!! We got it to go, and that was the only problem. The fries got soggy and the bag was almost breaking from grease when we got home. But they were still delicious and if I wanted health food, I wouldn't have come here anyway. Hmm... just got home with my order. I ordered 1little bacon cheeseburger with ketchup. The receipt showed the same. I got a cheeseburger (2patties) with bacon. I ordered a little bacon burger with ketchup and onion, the receipt showed a little hamburger with onion and ketchup. I got a little hamburger with ketchup. I ordered a regular fry. The receipt showed Cajun fries (which are disgusting) and that's what I got. I guess I should have looked at the receipt while I was waiting but this was a simple order. Maybe they couldn't hear me because at 9 pm they were busy scrubbing the floor in front of the grill and using a big wet vac to suck up the water. Probably something they should do after they close. I was really wanting a cheeseburger at a causal place because I was in gym clothes and didn't want to change to go anywhere nicer than a "quick causal" place. I like that they have the option for different sizes. I was kind of bothered by the fact they forgot to put bacon on my bacon cheeseburger. Went into five guys this evening, August 6th @6:15pm, because we remembered how wonderful their hamburgers were. Bad idea. We were sooo disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant, the music was so loud it instantly gave us all a headache. The young man frying the hamburger shouted from the grill.."what do you want?" Soo professional. Upon receiving our burgers we soon realized that they were so well done that they were crunchy. I asked for my burger all the way with no mushrooms. Well, the forgot the "all the way" and I received two hamburger patties and received more mushrooms then hamburger! After scraping off all the mushrooms, I tried to get some mustard from the staff. A young man asked the two ladies working beside him three times to get it for me because he was very busy. all three times he was ignored. He finally had to stop what he was doing to go get it. I love the burgers here! Are they as good as Stellas? No, but they are flavorful, a little greasy, and jusy tasty. The fries are made fresh and are to die for. This place has a bit of a hygiene problem. Chairs and floors are covered with crumbs & various unknown liquids so the floor is really sticky... It was actually hard not to step in other people's food crumbs because they were spread across the entire floor. Even the cashier's area was filled with crumbs... Are the cashiers snacking right there or something? Anyways, we were quickly attended to at the counter - and that was probably the last thing that was quick about the experience. In the near hour-long wait, I observed how they prepare their burgers. They're cooked on a stove covered in a thick layer of hardened sludge, grease and residue everywhere. The burger slices were mercilessly beat with a meat tenderizer and were slabs of mashed up meat rather than actual burger slices anymore. Both our burgers and fries came with no seasoning so when it comes to the burger I ordered (a double cheese with no toppings), the only things I tasted were solely meat, cheese and bun. Since my burger didn't have toppings, it wasn't as bad - and I say this because the burgers they do put toppings on are overloaded with so many toppings to the point that the greases emitted from the toppings saturate the buns to the point that the buns fall apart. My mother was with me and she couldn't even finish her burger because the buns were so severely saturated to the point that it fell apart in her hands. The fries have no salt or flavor so having salt packets for them is a must, but the fries taste incredibly bland even with the salt packets. This place gives you way way way too many fries, literally 2-3 whole big bags worth of fries... How can they seriously expect one to eat pounds worth of flavorless potatoes? Its funny in a way though. I have to say though the food here is really overpriced. I ended up paying around 60-something dollars for the whole family and the food is no where even near worth that much. I say just go get Runza or Don & Millie's if you're craving a decent fast food burger. read more

Terrible. Horrible management. 6:00 PM on a Sunday. Not one table was clean, our feet stuck to the floor, garbage was overflowing, nothing to dry your hands with in the ladies room, nothing to wash your hands with in the men's, no ketchup in the dispenser, trash on the floor outside and in. When we arrived there were two guys working, one lady appeared several minutes later. I just felt bad for them. They certainly could've used some help. The award on the wall said "Best in Omaha 2010." Not this place. Needs new management. People will clean their own tables for only so long... Not what I've come to expect from Five Guys. Five Guys is pretty delicious. I've been here several times now and will probably keep coming back, though not often. It's kind of a neat place though, they have peanuts for everyone and you can see where the potatoes they are using for their fries supposedly came from for the day. My burgers are always delicious, they remind me of Don & Millie's to be honest, but not as greasy! Imagine a burger with full flavor ans savory meat but not soaked with grease. This is the place. It's still a fast food burger, not somethign you would get at Dinker's or Louie M's or Stella's, but great none the less. Fries are amazing. Second favorite after Bronco's. You can taste the potato and they are much thicker cut than Bronco's are. My only problem was the salt. My cup that the fries came in was literally caked in grease and salt. I had salt all over my car seats and my clothes afterwards. I may have a sodium overdose as I'm typing this. The prices. Good Lord, they need to come down a little. I got a small combo meal and it was $12. I can go to almost any of my favorite restaurants and get a sit down meal for less than that. Probably half of that. I'll probably come back but very rarely when I'm craving horribly salty fries. read more

Ordered and ate at about 8:30pm. A few hours later like clockwork I'm confined to the bathroom and can't empty the puke bucket quick enough. How do I know it was food poisoning? Well, my wife and I didn't match up on anything we ate other than the burger and fries from Five Guys, and we both are feeling like death warmed over. Been there multiple times and have always had a great experience. The man that always works there is so nice and friendly. I came in with my friend and I and order a burger with no fries. Without ordering or asking he gave us a bag of free fries to share. This isn't the only time he's done this. What an expensive disappointment! We hadn't been here for a while, and decided we wanted a good burger. In the past, these guys were our yardstick to judge other burgers. NO MORE! I had the standard double cheeseburger, my wife had a single (little) hamburger, we shared a regular fry, I had a soda, and my wife had water. The total with tax was $23.61. The burgers seemed smaller than we remembered them. There also was not a lot of flavor. The fries were in a cup as usual, with extras in the bag. We noted the cup was not full and there were less fries than we remembered. Now, in the past we always had to take fries home with us. This time, even with eating some peanuts, we ate all the fries, finished the burgers, and we still left hungry.
