Winchester's is a pretty solid choice for burgers, fries, drinks, and a fun atmosphere to watch a game or hang with friends. The vibe has always been super busy when we've been there, and the servers are always busting their butts to take care of everyone in a timely manner. We've had the burgers, the Crab Rangoon fries, and the nachos many times - great bar food. They also have a chocolate cake that's pretty tasty, if you're wanting that after your salty food and great drinks. Is it Michelin star worthy fare? Definitely not. But if you're in the mood for a nice greasy burger or nachos (and did I mention cheap beer?!), Winchester's has got you covered!

Tuesday Cheeseburger & Fries

Was looking for a place to stop and have lunch after all of the holiday food we had indulged in. Yelp brought up this gem near where we were and based on the reviews , decided to give it a try. It was decked out in holiday fun and crowded before noon. We seated ourselves and our waitress was promptly there to get drink orders and welcome us in. Service was fast and kept our drinks refilled. We went with the special of the day which was a cheeseburger and fries. It came fresh and hot; no premade patties here. I challenge anyone to go to a fast food restaurant and get a burger and pile of fries for $7.99, it can't b done. The burger was fresh, hot, juicy and delicious. This place has specials everyday but burger and fries are on Tuesday/ Saturday which I'm sure is why the place was hopping with lots of hungry customers. Don't debate on stopping by this great bar and grill!

Was in the area for a Omaha Beef game and stopped by after a epic team win. The place was lively and full of regulars along with the Omaha beef football team. I was in Omaha so of course I went with the burger and oh boy was it a good choice. Grilled perfectly with a nice soft bun and crispy fries. Overall solid burger.

As with all of life's troubles, very few things can't be solved by: "Go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint and wait for all this to blow over." Do your best Shaun impression, avoid the Zombie Hordes...and don't miss the Friday Chicken Fried Steak. Meatloaf and Pot Roast are right behind it; on the list for me. Corn Fritters are HOT but delicious. Outdoor volleyball, if that's your thing. Start "Don't Stop Me Now!" On the jukebox. Bring your friends!

The food was delicious beyond belief! Hearty meals for the right price and the service matched that energy. Our waitress kept it real and was exactly what I would expect in a dive bar named Winchester Bar & Grill and then some. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our first visit and suggested delicious food options for us. The special was a great deal to boot!

Good menu of food platters and a wide range of burgers. 7 beers on tap to include the tasty Goose Island IPA I had with my meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn. Was really great! Service was quick, wait staff, to including the bartender, was courteous and attentive without being suffocating. Ambience was that of an old school place; I thought at any moment Patrick Swayze was going to show up as the bouncer. The attached beer garden has competitive volleyball leagues giving the whole place an energy it might not otherwise have. I've heard there is some pretty significant karaoke on multiple nights a week. Prices are reasonable, both food and drink. Ample seating and fairly well lit. Lots of parking. Overall great experience with nothing to detract. Put it at the top of your list.

Dive bar with pretty good karaoke set up. I've been here a couple times and it is decent bar food/drinks. Service is good. Last time I went I sang a lot and they had a good Disney/musical theatre list. This time they told me their computers were wiped and I couldn't sing anything from Disney etc. as this had been lost (told me it would be back by the next time I visit). Disappointed they didn't have my niche Disney song interests, but I'm sure most are satisfied with their list. I do appreciate that you text the DJ your choice and they can respond directly through text message.

Came in on a Monday for the tenderloin trail. The inside of the restaurant looks like it would be a great time on the weekends. Plenty of bar games, huge stage for karaoke, and a large outdoor area. The service was great. She was very excited to see we were other people doing the tenderloin trail. The pork tenderloin itself was seasoned very well and the sauce that it came with sealed the deal for me. You got tater tots as a side and you got an ample amount of those as well. One of the best tenderloins on the trail to this point.

Wow! I was absolutely blown away by this gem! I drive past here frequently and it is always packed. So packed, in fact, that every time I drive past I see people parking across the street and walking over. Opportunity presented itself and curiosity got this cat one evening this week. A friend and myself popped in for a couple of margaritas and to dinner. While the parking lot was swamped, there were several tables available inside as it appeared many of those cars belong to sand volleyball participants. We quickly and easily found a table and almost instantly were brought menus and greeted by a super friendly and knowledgeable young man. Having never been here before we asked for suggestions and were told the Winchester is known for its hot beef and that it was must try. In addition to that we were told the whiskey wings, whiskey burger and taco dog were favorites also. We asked for a few minutes to peruse the menu and decided on splitting the Crab Rangoon French Fries and the Whiskey Burger. Let me tell you, the only way to explain our take away from the food was mind blown! The flavors and creativity were outstanding and I can't wait to go back and try another magical creation! This is a must try if you are in the area!

The duck was cooked perfectly and the bok choy that came with it added a perfect amount of crunch and mustard flavor. The tagliatelle was rich and the variety of mushrooms in the sauce added so much umami. We look forward to returning!

To drink, I ordered the Açaí Cosmopolitan, which was refreshing and well-balanced. For dinner, we shared the crab and sweet corn croquettes, braised short ribs, and scallops. Every dish was excellent. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, while both the short ribs and scallops were cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. It's always nice to find a restaurant that delivers both great food and a meaningful purpose. Between the delicious meal, thoughtful service, and mission behind the restaurant, Ooh De Lally is absolutely worth a visit.

Unfortunately after driving to the Ooh De Lally we were immediately turned away citing the no pet policy. I politely showed the hostess their listing and was directed to speak with a manager and I politely declined stating it was not needed. It's unfortunate that a business has full control over the information contained there and would be appropriate to update the information to prevent future patrons from being misled. After the rejection, there isn't a need for a future return. It would have only been decent customer service since the information was misleading to accommodate us, keeping in mind the pet was a 5.2lb 16 year old chihuahua that has cataracts, calm and making a stir while checking in and the patio only had one other table. The hostess felt the only recourse was to point me to a sign which I wasn't sure where it was because it didn't matter at this point, she stated her policy. I kindly referred her to the online info, and pulled the info up for her. We drove to dine and again, to create a future customer the choice was to instead decline and send us away. She did ask if he was a service animal but was not gonna take that away from a true service animal. Hopefully this place makes the needed corrections and unfortunately our experience will be how this was handled. Yes, I see the follow up from the restaurant and our decision to not return seems fit based on the "Owner" response. Good customer service would have been reflected in the response acknowledging more than just how "Frustrating" it was for us. No, being truly sincere would have been we appreciate your business and apologize for the inconvenience. Please here is 10% off your next meal or dessert is on us, please come back. We certainly don't care about the 10% but it's about the true understanding and apparently this is not the goal of the "owner". The effort as such would have prompted us to give another try. With the lack of effort to even bring a customer back speaks volumes. 2026 Omaha made changes for restaurants regarding pets and the disregard to an error and the drive we made apparently holds little to this establishment.

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

My wife and I both ordered the Everett's #2 with pulled chicken, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Everything just worked together perfectly. The chicken was tender, the slaw added the right crunch, and the bun tied it all together. It was one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you just look at each other and know you made the right choice. We also ordered the Saucy Rossy wings and they were the perfect heat level for both of us. Not so mild that they're boring and not so hot that you're suffering. Pro tip: get them fried and grilled. The extra texture and flavor are absolutely worth it. My wife is a total Brussels sprouts snob and she was absolutely in love with theirs. The funny part is that I'm usually not much of a Brussels sprouts person, but I kept asking for more off her plate. That alone should tell you how good they were. The fries were okay. Nothing that stole the show, but nothing to complain about either. The service wasn't the best during our visit, but they also had a 30-person table they were dealing with, so it was completely understandable. Even with that, the food was so good that it's already a top 3 meal for my wife. We'll definitely be thinking about those sandwiches, wings, and Brussels sprouts until we're back, and I don't think that'll take very long.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. Since they can be busy, I would recommend people getting there earlier to secure a good table spot, if dining in.
