When we walked in the staff was waiting at the door with a friendly welcome! The waitress was very friendly and very attentive. Our glasses were never empty. It was regular sports bar atmosphere , keno and basketball playing on all the TVs. The margaritas were not very good it tasted like there was sprite or something in them, almost had a carbonation in them. We had a lime one and a passion fruit. The espresso martini was my favorite. I would recommend that. We arrived to enjoy the happy hour menu, $4 margaritas and $8 espresso martini, we ordered the lux signature burger and it was good, although it was a smash burger it didn't seem grilled it seemed more steamed. It didn't have the crispness that is expected with a smash burger. The waffle fries were okay, the fries were way better. The amount of fries and waffle fries were not big at all. I feel the kids meal got more sides than the meal did. The kids meal chair tenders were huge, you received two and a good amount of fries. The tenders are definitely not made in house and they tasted frozen and can taste the fryer. All in all it wasn't bad but I have had better. I still think it's worth going to and trying something else. read more

We stopped mid errands for some libations and their happy hour eats. The great Reuben series continues, with their in house aged corned beef PIECES (vs those flimsy thin slices)! Although it's not on their happy hour menu, I was told it was pretty darn good! Quite filling, and would be worth a return for sure. The baked potato as a side hit the spot, too! LYCHEE martini... need I say more? We also snagged their fresh bruschetta (that is off the happy hour menu) and it needed just a little bit of salt. Other than that, it was fabulous! We've driven past Lux numerous times, wondering what an apartment complex and this restaurant are doing along this otherwise industrial stretch of road. That said, make it a point to head this way! We stopped while out running errands. All my hubs wanted was a burger and his cheeseburger really hit the spot. His choice of cheese was Velveeta, which meant he wouldn't be sharing with me, but it looked delicious and huge! The accompanying waffle fries were hot, delicious and not greasy. I had Lobster Nachos, a chancey option in middle America sometimes I think, but I took advice from our server Kimberly, and she didnt steer me wrong. There were bite-sized clumps of lobster that had good flavor, a heap of chips and jalapenos, and just the right amount of tomatoes. I was confused about the lack of cheese, but there was a delicious "sauce" that took its place. When I asked Kimberly what it was, imagine my embarrassment when she said; "queso!" I mean, it was great, drizzled all around and on top of the chips, but it was a pinkish color (chili powder influence, maybe?), and it never occurred to me that it was cheese. Desided to give this new place a try while watching the Husker game. Took them awhile to get the volume right (too loud). Service was great but still not flowing smoothly. My wife had the smash burger and was not impressed and did not like it at all. My daughter had the prime rib sliders and thought they were pretty mediocre. I gave the wings a try. They had great char but really no flavor. I will give them another try in a few months. Let them iron out their issues. read more

We ordered the firecracker shrimp and two different pastas the firecracker shrimp was delicious and not too spicy for me. I got the Fettuccine Tomato Basil Pasta with chicken. I really enjoyed the flavor of the dish. Plenty of sauce and a fresh tomato flavor. It comes with a side of garlic Toast. My dinner partner got The Lobster Mac and Cheese which is a smaller portion than the pasta dish I got, but with the rich cheese sauce it was plenty. The prices are affordable and you get plenty for your money. The wait staff was attentive and helpful in informing us about the choices of food we were looking at. This is a pretty nice bar/grill. It was fairly roomy with plenty of tables for a bar/grill. Also a bunch of TV's everywhere! They even have a separate room with TV's for smokers that is enclosed that is pretty nice. Went for dinner in particular I was interested in the NY Strip kabobs. Don't see kabobs often offered at a restaurant particularly with the veggies I would make them with at home. Our waiter was awesome! Kept our drinks refilled and was always around to make sure we were taken care of! Started with a wedge salad that was quite good! Ordered the kabobs which are described on the menu as "Two kabobs made with NY strip steak marinated in a delicious marinade and stacked on a skewer with mushrooms, bell pepper, and red onion then grilled to perfection." Yum! They came out and looked delicious! Loved the combo of veggies that came on the skewer and was glad to see it was white onions on the skewer not red as the menu stated. Unfortunately the steak was anything but "marinated in a delicious marinade." They were a bit overcooked and quite likely the most dry flavorless steak I'd ever eaten. Had I not been dining with others I would have spit out my first bite into a napkin as it took forever to chew and try to swallow. I mean really not even a hint of salt at least. One of my dining partners ordered the kabobs as well and we both looked at each other bewildered. Tried putting salt on them and drowning the bites with steak sauce (which we asked for on the side) but nothing helped the dryness of the meat. Bummer! I let the waiter know and he had a manager come over. She was very pleasant and offered to get us something else. I asked about the marinade and she seemed unknowledgeable on it just saying she hadn't seen any other kabobs come out of the kitchen on this night. I asked what kind of marinade was to be put on these and she said she didn't know but maybe salt and pepper. Umm okay that is a seasoning not a marinade and there certainly wasn't any of that on the kabobs either. She did take $20 off the bill however. Another at my table ordered the Rueben and really liked it, and another ordered the whiskey chicken breast which was enjoyed as well. In fact I tried the chicken and it was indeed marinated as the menu stated and was tasty! I'd go again and order something different than the kabobs but mostly wish someone could have assured me that they were cooked incorrectly because if they would be marinated as described I bet they would be really good and I would definitely try them again!! read more

We ordered wings as an appetizer and they came out quickly and were so delicious. They have a nice char on them and were pretty meaty. Only slight knock on the wings is that the sauce definitely didn't seem spicy to me but everyone has different levels of heat. For entrees I got adobo Alfredo like dish with grilled chicken. The flavor of the sauce was soo good, creamy but also had that smoky spicy profile. The garlic bread was the perfect accompaniment too. My husband got the beef kabobs and a side Caesar salad. The kabobs were cooked perfectly and had big hunks of peppers, onions and mushrooms. The ambiance is kind of an upscale sports bar but not too fancy schmancy either. I love this place. All the employees I've interacted with are well trained on the menu and how to make you feel like you are a priority. One bartender in particular named Rebecca definitely stands out above the rest. I have been there with friends and also by myself and whether busy or not, she makes everyone around feel like they have her complete attention. Passing by and decided to stop and have dinner after finding our first choice closed. Ordered the Bruschetta with Balsamic glaze as an appetizer, full of flavor and would order again. Wife had the pasta, she enjoyed it, but would have liked to have seen it creamier. The pizza, well it's pizza. I wouldn't go just for the pizza, but would order if I was craving pizza. Overall a good experience. Our waiter was super nice, even though he seemed overwhelmed by being, what appeared, the only waiter working. The food came out in reasonable time and was fairly priced. Server had no idea the description of food on menu. Granted, she was only three days into working here. Management needs to better train people before letting them work on a busy day. My wife got the chicken and waffles, and she was told it was breaded chicken to show with dish. The plate came out with a leg and a thigh.... Wow big difference. Have been to this grill several times and would offer the following observation. It is a small place broken into a bar area with a few tables around the wall and larger rooms just off the bar. It has some enclosed areas as you walk in but I haven't been in those. Any food is okay and beer it cold. I liked the sliders and the burgers. I noticed in a recent visit that prices have bumped up a little bit for some items. Its a small enough place that in the bar you can hear a lot of conversations. Unfortunately, when you have a few folks at the bar who have been drinking, would advise seating in the other area if you have kids or don't want to hear some course language. Service can be pretty good, but when they are busy it slows down quite a bit. Not sure if it's a staffing issue or what, but getting a beer can at times be slow. read more

I went here for brunch Sunday. Online says they open at 10, when we got there at 10 no signs of life. They did unlock the doors a few minutes after 10 and we were the only ones there until 10:40 or so. Brunch menu was approx 6 items, so not huge. The food was pretty average, nothing special. My order included eggs which I ordered over medium. I had to send them back twice, first time they were fried hard, second time they were undercooked with the whites being very runny, and the third time one egg was perfect and the other was hard again but I just ate them. I did see he was busy, however he chose to ignore and help people after me.
