Birria tacos + chips and salsa!

Lux has become pretty iconic. My friend lived near by and introduced me to this place. Their food is not typical bar food - it's definitely high quality restaurant food. I would highly recommend checking them out whether it's for the food or for the bar scene. Either way it's a good vibe. Plus, on their socials they are always announcing events and specials.

We stopped mid errands for some libations and their happy hour eats. The great Reuben series continues, with their in house aged corned beef PIECES (vs those flimsy thin slices)! Although it's not on their happy hour menu, I was told it was pretty darn good! Quite filling, and would be worth a return for sure. The baked potato as a side hit the spot, too! LYCHEE martini... need I say more? We also snagged their fresh bruschetta (that is off the happy hour menu) and it needed just a little bit of salt. Other than that, it was fabulous! Bread was a little soggy but the balsamic that made it soggy, was very very good. Not a bad quick little visit for some sustenance!

Great food that breaks out of standard for fair for this otherwise typically designed and well equipped sports bar. Loved my havarti melt with steak! Service was prompt for the most part but got too busy to keep up at one point. Definitely worth a visit!

We've driven past Lux numerous times, wondering what an apartment complex and this restaurant are doing along this otherwise industrial stretch of road. That said, make it a point to head this way! We stopped while out running errands. All my hubs wanted was a burger and his cheeseburger really hit the spot. His choice of cheese was Velveeta, which meant he wouldn't be sharing with me, but it looked delicious and huge! The accompanying waffle fries were hot, delicious and not greasy. I had Lobster Nachos, a chancey option in middle America sometimes I think, but I took advice from our server Kimberly, and she didnt steer me wrong. There were bite-sized clumps of lobster that had good flavor, a heap of chips and jalapenos, and just the right amount of tomatoes. I was confused about the lack of cheese, but there was a delicious "sauce" that took its place. When I asked Kimberly what it was, imagine my embarrassment when she said; "queso!" I mean, it was great, drizzled all around and on top of the chips, but it was a pinkish color (chili powder influence, maybe?), and it never occurred to me that it was cheese. Really light and flavorful. Kimberly was great -- attentive without hovering, and friendly. We'll be sure and come back.

Cool sports bar nested in an Apartment complex. Host and waiter were extremely friendly and attentive. Drinks were delicious and priced well. Food was good and greasy... just like what you'd expect from a Sports bar. Definitely coming back.

Desided to give this new place a try while watching the Husker game. Took them awhile to get the volume right (too loud). Service was great but still not flowing smoothly. My wife had the smash burger and was not impressed and did not like it at all. My daughter had the prime rib sliders and thought they were pretty mediocre. I gave the wings a try. They had great char but really no flavor. I will give them another try in a few months. Let them iron out their issues.

This is a pretty nice bar/grill. It was fairly roomy with plenty of tables for a bar/grill. Also a bunch of TV's everywhere! They even have a separate room with TV's for smokers that is enclosed that is pretty nice. Went for dinner in particular I was interested in the NY Strip kabobs. Don't see kabobs often offered at a restaurant particularly with the veggies I would make them with at home. Our waiter was awesome! Kept our drinks refilled and was always around to make sure we were taken care of! Started with a wedge salad that was quite good! Ordered the kabobs which are described on the menu as "Two kabobs made with NY strip steak marinated in a delicious marinade and stacked on a skewer with mushrooms, bell pepper, and red onion then grilled to perfection." Yum! They came out and looked delicious! Loved the combo of veggies that came on the skewer and was glad to see it was white onions on the skewer not red as the menu stated. Unfortunately the steak was anything but "marinated in a delicious marinade." They were a bit overcooked and quite likely the most dry flavorless steak I'd ever eaten. Had I not been dining with others I would have spit out my first bite into a napkin as it took forever to chew and try to swallow. I mean really not even a hint of salt at least. One of my dining partners ordered the kabobs as well and we both looked at each other bewildered. Tried putting salt on them and drowning the bites with steak sauce (which we asked for on the side) but nothing helped the dryness of the meat. Bummer! I let the waiter know and he had a manager come over. She was very pleasant and offered to get us something else. I asked about the marinade and she seemed unknowledgeable on it just saying she hadn't seen any other kabobs come out of the kitchen on this night. I asked what kind of marinade was to be put on these and she said she didn't know but maybe salt and pepper. Umm okay that is a seasoning not a marinade and there certainly wasn't any of that on the kabobs either. She did take $20 off the bill however. Another at my table ordered the Rueben and really liked it, and another ordered the whiskey chicken breast which was enjoyed as well. In fact I tried the chicken and it was indeed marinated as the menu stated and was tasty! I'd go again and order something different than the kabobs but mostly wish someone could have assured me that they were cooked incorrectly because if they would be marinated as described I bet they would be really good and I would definitely try them again!!

Both a casual neighborhood sit around the bar kind of bar, and a nice, slightly upscale, casual sit down restaurant. Can't miss.

We always have to get the Camarones Roca, jumbo shrimp in bang bang sauce. Chefs kiss! The birria quesadilla was huge and was filled with tender beef and the consume for dipping. We also got the tostada especial and thought it would be a small portion, wrong! It was also huge, I'm not complaining! Filled with shrimp, scallops, octopus, avocado and more. I can't remember the name of the drink, but it was also very good with mezcal, anchovies and tamarind. Id definitely order it again. Great experience, service was quick and our server very nicer. Our server came to our table at around 11:30am take our drink orders. That is 30 minutes, of not being acknowledged. We ordered waters and two alcoholic drinks. My friend's drink was very strong and wanted to change it to a different one. The server refused to take the drink back and said she had to ask a manager if they are able to switch it to a different drink. She came back 10 mins later took our food order. My friend asked her if she was able to take the drink back for a different drink. The server said I don't know I haven't gotten a response back and walked away. Our food came out and she was able to get my friend a different drink. My friend asked her to take away the old drink (cause we need space on the table for the food) she walked away without a response. We finished our food and asked our server for the check. It took the server over 30 mins! To get us our check. The food was amazing we got Taco de asada, taco brirria and a few sushi rolls. The service on the other hand was the worst service I had ever experienced. Sitting there for 30 minutes before we were even served. The drink situation could've been handle better. There was so much push back for no reason at all. Our total time from being seated to finally getting our check was 2 hours. From being seated at 11am, our food coming out at 12am and finallt getting our check at 1pm. We weren't in any rush but we were there long enough to feel neglected by our server. There was lots of moments that we thought were forgetten. The server was not attentive to us at all. Sometimes we felt she ignored us and was avoiding us.

This is quite possibly the worst "Mexican" food I've ever had in my life. We ordered several items…read moreand not a single thing was good. Where do I even start? "Big Tacos" - these aren't big at all. They're basically the size of Taco Bell's small hardshell tacos, except almost twice the price and half the quality. The ground beef was dry and bland. The shells had the same texture, consistency, and flavor that you'd find in a cheap box of DIY shells from ALDI, except worse. "Rolled Tacos" - these are taquitos. Just call them what they are. Again, the meat was dry and bland. Tasted like it came out of a pre-made frozen box that they sprinkled some shredded cheese on before heating up. "Cheese Quesdilla" - this was 100% just straight up microwaved. At no point did the tortillas touch a hot pan. To add insult to injury, they put sour cream INSIDE the quesadilla before microwaving it, causing the sour cream to become hot, broken down, and of course making the microwaved quesadilla even soggier. Apparently no one told them sour cream is supposed to be a COLD condiment. The best part about our visit was the drive thru, which wasn't great, either. The person repeated our order wrong no fewer than 3 times at the speaker, and again no fewer than 3 times at the window. The person wasn't rude or unfriendly by any means; just seemed like their manager set them up to fail by providing little to no training for the role.
