Birria tacos + chips and salsa!
Nicole O.

Lux has become pretty iconic. My friend lived near by and introduced me to this place. Their food is not typical bar food - it's definitely high quality restaurant food. I would highly recommend checking them out whether it's for the food or for the bar scene. Either way it's a good vibe. Plus, on their socials they are always announcing events and specials.

We stopped mid errands for some libations and their happy hour eats. The great Reuben series continues, with their in house aged corned beef PIECES (vs those flimsy thin slices)! Although it's not on their happy hour menu, I was told it was pretty darn good! Quite filling, and would be worth a return for sure. The baked potato as a side hit the spot, too! LYCHEE martini... need I say more? We also snagged their fresh bruschetta (that is off the happy hour menu) and it needed just a little bit of salt. Other than that, it was fabulous! Bread was a little soggy but the balsamic that made it soggy, was very very good. Not a bad quick little visit for some sustenance!

Great food that breaks out of standard for fair for this otherwise typically designed and well equipped sports bar. Loved my havarti melt with steak! Service was prompt for the most part but got too busy to keep up at one point. Definitely worth a visit!

We've driven past Lux numerous times, wondering what an apartment complex and this restaurant are doing along this otherwise industrial stretch of road. That said, make it a point to head this way! We stopped while out running errands. All my hubs wanted was a burger and his cheeseburger really hit the spot. His choice of cheese was Velveeta, which meant he wouldn't be sharing with me, but it looked delicious and huge! The accompanying waffle fries were hot, delicious and not greasy. I had Lobster Nachos, a chancey option in middle America sometimes I think, but I took advice from our server Kimberly, and she didnt steer me wrong. There were bite-sized clumps of lobster that had good flavor, a heap of chips and jalapenos, and just the right amount of tomatoes. I was confused about the lack of cheese, but there was a delicious "sauce" that took its place. When I asked Kimberly what it was, imagine my embarrassment when she said; "queso!" I mean, it was great, drizzled all around and on top of the chips, but it was a pinkish color (chili powder influence, maybe?), and it never occurred to me that it was cheese. Really light and flavorful. Kimberly was great -- attentive without hovering, and friendly. We'll be sure and come back.

Cool sports bar nested in an Apartment complex. Host and waiter were extremely friendly and attentive. Drinks were delicious and priced well. Food was good and greasy... just like what you'd expect from a Sports bar. Definitely coming back.

Desided to give this new place a try while watching the Husker game. Took them awhile to get the volume right (too loud). Service was great but still not flowing smoothly. My wife had the smash burger and was not impressed and did not like it at all. My daughter had the prime rib sliders and thought they were pretty mediocre. I gave the wings a try. They had great char but really no flavor. I will give them another try in a few months. Let them iron out their issues.

This is a pretty nice bar/grill. It was fairly roomy with plenty of tables for a bar/grill. Also a bunch of TV's everywhere! They even have a separate room with TV's for smokers that is enclosed that is pretty nice. Went for dinner in particular I was interested in the NY Strip kabobs. Don't see kabobs often offered at a restaurant particularly with the veggies I would make them with at home. Our waiter was awesome! Kept our drinks refilled and was always around to make sure we were taken care of! Started with a wedge salad that was quite good! Ordered the kabobs which are described on the menu as "Two kabobs made with NY strip steak marinated in a delicious marinade and stacked on a skewer with mushrooms, bell pepper, and red onion then grilled to perfection." Yum! They came out and looked delicious! Loved the combo of veggies that came on the skewer and was glad to see it was white onions on the skewer not red as the menu stated. Unfortunately the steak was anything but "marinated in a delicious marinade." They were a bit overcooked and quite likely the most dry flavorless steak I'd ever eaten. Had I not been dining with others I would have spit out my first bite into a napkin as it took forever to chew and try to swallow. I mean really not even a hint of salt at least. One of my dining partners ordered the kabobs as well and we both looked at each other bewildered. Tried putting salt on them and drowning the bites with steak sauce (which we asked for on the side) but nothing helped the dryness of the meat. Bummer! I let the waiter know and he had a manager come over. She was very pleasant and offered to get us something else. I asked about the marinade and she seemed unknowledgeable on it just saying she hadn't seen any other kabobs come out of the kitchen on this night. I asked what kind of marinade was to be put on these and she said she didn't know but maybe salt and pepper. Umm okay that is a seasoning not a marinade and there certainly wasn't any of that on the kabobs either. She did take $20 off the bill however. Another at my table ordered the Rueben and really liked it, and another ordered the whiskey chicken breast which was enjoyed as well. In fact I tried the chicken and it was indeed marinated as the menu stated and was tasty! I'd go again and order something different than the kabobs but mostly wish someone could have assured me that they were cooked incorrectly because if they would be marinated as described I bet they would be really good and I would definitely try them again!!

They have lobster cargot for happy hour on Wednesdays! Kind of a fun pop in, since we didn't know where to go in the area for a quick bite!

Both a casual neighborhood sit around the bar kind of bar, and a nice, slightly upscale, casual sit down restaurant. Can't miss.

We ordered the quesadilla and 3taco plate. The items were decent but the rice was very dry. The tortillas were fresh and possibly homemade. We also ordered the chips and guac. The guac was delicious and fresh, the chips were not, lots of broken pieces like the end of a day old batch. The inside is very nice but there were several dirty tables and no one else dining. The music playing was rap music, didn't really fit the vibe. I might try again, but went back because the taco plate was so good on my last visit a few months ago so not consistent. The service wasn't bad but wasn't great either. We were the only ones in there and had to ask for utensils and a refill. We were still eating and she asked if we were ready to pay. I just said sure bring the check, but literally was chewing when she asked. I figured since it was a late lunch for us she just was ready to go home. She was kind and responsive to our needs.

Hubs ordered a Long Island Iced tea which was made strong and PERFECTLY! One of the best in Omaha. I opted for a double shot of Don Julio Anejo with lime and salt. Can't go wrong! The chips and fresh salsa came out before our water and we dove in! Hubs ordered the Fried Tilapia and it was a little overdone and dry. It's what happens when you are hustling in a kitchen. It was still seasoned deliciously and the macaroni salad and rice both had good flavor. I ordered two sushi rolls and they were perfection! So fresh! The tuna and yellowtail had ZERO "fishiness" and tasted so incredibly fresh! They didn't skimp on the fillings! Proportion to rice was fantastic!

This place is like if corporate greed decided to run a restaurant. Truly one of the most obnoxious…read moreexperiences of my life. To start, we walked in & it took roughly 20 minutes for us to be seated, it was also quite literally empty so it's not like it was packed or busy (this honestly should've been the first red flag but I tried to give it a chance.) once seated, the waitress didn't attend our table for another 10 minutes. Now the food was overall great even if it took forever to order, the shrimp nachos were fantastic, the queso was good, the sushi was great. But one thing we ordered tasted disgusting, it was a sting ray quesadilla. Now I wanted to try it as I've heard sting ray is very good. The quesadilla was awful. It was fishy in taste & dry, the "tortilla" had the texture of foam blocks in those ball pits, the cheese was over cooked around the edges & cold in the center. It was unappetizing to say the least. Once we finally grabbed our waitresses attention after YET another 20 more minutes of waiting for her to even notice us, I politely asked her if it can be remade or if I can exchange it for another dish. She said no as anything that's ordered is what's ordered & the restaurant has some type of policy that there's no remakes or anything unless they find it's their fault (it was lmfao.) she then proceeded to ask what was wrong, I let her know exactly what I just typed up above, she took the dish away & didn't return for another 10-15 minutes as she claimed she needed to speak with her manager. When she came back, she informed me that her manager said I could not exchange it since their ingredients were up to par and fresh. I never claimed the ingredients weren't fresh, I claimed that the quesadilla was made terribly & way overcooked & yet somehow undercooked in the center. She asked me if I still wanted it & when she brought it back to me, it was cold by this point. I said unless it gets remade as it's now cold & still overcooked, so she just ended up taking it away. Mind you I only took one single bite of it. Once the check came, I noticed the quesadilla was still on the bill & at full price.. I asked her if she can remove it or remake it for me since again, I literally only took one bite and there was a quality issue here. She said no, & that it's made up to their standard so their manager would not remove it from the bill. She then has the nerve to say "but you're more than welcome to order something else.. you just have to pay for that separately." Girl.. I was livid. We ended up just paying the bill & leaving at this point. If anyone's reading this, keep this in mind that if you do not like something or they make something that is overcooked or whatever the case may be, you cannot have it remade or exchange it for something else unless they find themselves at fault, which, of course they never will... cause they had every excuse in the book for anything I verbally expressed about the situation lol. Will never return. Would rank a 0 but yelp only allows 1 star as the lowest rating.

"Big Tacos" - these aren't big at all. They're basically the size of Taco Bell's small hardshell tacos, except almost twice the price and half the quality. The ground beef was dry and bland. The shells had the same texture, consistency, and flavor that you'd find in a cheap box of DIY shells from ALDI, except worse. "Rolled Tacos" - these are taquitos. Just call them what they are. Again, the meat was dry and bland. Tasted like it came out of a pre-made frozen box that they sprinkled some shredded cheese on before heating up. "Cheese Quesdilla" - this was 100% just straight up microwaved. At no point did the tortillas touch a hot pan. To add insult to injury, they put sour cream INSIDE the quesadilla before microwaving it, causing the sour cream to become hot, broken down, and of course making the microwaved quesadilla even soggier. Apparently no one told them sour cream is supposed to be a COLD condiment. The best part about our visit was the drive thru, which wasn't great, either. The person repeated our order wrong no fewer than 3 times at the speaker, and again no fewer than 3 times at the window. The person wasn't rude or unfriendly by any means; just seemed like their manager set them up to fail by providing little to no training for the role.
