I've been seeing this place online and decided to try the location in aksarben! I really liked having a large menu on the wall, it was so easy to read. The menu here is on the smaller end but I was so happy there weren't a million choices. I had decided on one of their more basic burgers with a side of fries. The serving size was the perfect amount! I didn't feel stuffed or hungry, which was a bonus. Some places tend to give huge portions or have some that are too small, this was just right. The service was speedy as well! I didn't feel like I needed to wait super long before my food was ready. In the inner rail space, it can get pretty crowded and take a while if just one person is working the restaurant so I was happy to see multiple individuals manning the fort. Service was friendly, informative, and quick, even though we went during the crush of the local construction workers' lunch break. Seating was well-spaced out, and the space is light and airy. Women's restroom was clean. They checked on everyone in the dining room a couple times; really nice to see the care and attention. Thanks to all the team for making the magic happen in the service department. The crinkle French fries were perfectly crisp and salty. Definitely recommend those. But the burger patties all seemed over-cooked, and the grease here (unsure whether it was the meat's oil or the french fry oil) didn't sit well with any of our tummies. Unsure exactly why, as we are a bacon/ribeye/full-fat-cream/yogurt/milk loving family. We had The Unit (triple patty), the Smokin' Hot (not crazy spicy), and the Classic Smash Combos; all the veggies and toppings were fresh and crisp. I got a milkshake, too, which was good, par for milkshakes, loved the sprinkles and cherry on top. Stopped down on a Sunday evening around 5 PM to try this place out. Just ordered a single Patty as that is plenty for me. Service was super quick and the place is very clean. I thought my burger was very good. However, next time I would get less toppings so I could taste the burger better. I got lettuce, onion, and tomato but honestly with a very thin burger I think just cheese with some mayo would've been perfect for me. Did not care for their special sauce too much. I'm glad I got that on the side. The burger did have nice flavor to it also got a chocolate shake minus the whipped cream and sprinkle sprinkles. I enjoyed that as well. Parking stinks right now down there, but we lucked out and found a spot not far. It was kind of fun to go downtown and eat in that area. Would definitely go again. read more

I have had multiple good experiences at All American Burger downtown. I've had the smokin hot smash and the truffle smash. Coworkers have gotten the all American and the grilled cheese smash as well. The fry sauce is unique and I enjoy it. Instead of it trying to copy another establishment. The place is always very clean and staff has been friendly. The reverse osmosis water station is a nice touch. I think prices aren't bad for what you get. Definitely worth checking out for lunch downtown. read more

I totally was craving a burger while at Sonny's the other day so I finally tried this place and was not disappointed. Their burger's are absolutely delicious. I tried their classic burger with mostly everything on it and the fries are fire too but there really does need to be a note somewhere when ordering online that a burger comes with fries. I had multiple people in my group order a side of fries because we thought they didn't come with a burger. Inner rail is sooo crazy everytime I have to go in and regret it every time so if you are at Sonny's, do the order to table QR code so you don't have to endure the chaos! My oldest picked up 'The Unit', the other half grabbed the 'All American Smash' and I snatched up the 'Smokin Hot Smash'. The burgers? Meaty, savory, and refreshingly not buried under a mountain of toppings. Fries were hot and well-seasoned. I loved the jalapeños--on my burger. It's not for the feint of heart. They pile them on, but they are balanced by the All American Sauce. Menu's to the point. It's a burger and fry joint and they do it well. If you're indecisive or hoping for variety, this isn't your playground. The price? $20 for a burger, fries, and soda. That's steep for a casual bite. Staff were friendly and on point. Dining area was clean, kitchen looked sharp. This location's had a rough go--construction chaos and a short-lived predecessor--but I'm rooting for this place. Would I go back? Hell yeah. This place makes a good burger and fries. I do appreciate a place that keeps the menu to a manageable size and purely concentrates on the thing they do well. And they do this...but it does result in a VERY limited menu. I got the Smokin' Hot Smash, and fries. The burger was tasty - meaty and savory. I'm not sure how I feel about the "caramelized" jalapeños. I definitely feel like they weren't caramelized. I liked that this is a burger with toppings and not a pile of toppings with a burger underneath. Like some restaurants in the immediate area serve. Fries were well-seasoned and served hot. They have a self-serve tap of reverse osmosis water. It's chilled, but it's not cold. I would really prefer cold water, with ice. Like really. The burger is salty and the fries are salty. In a good way, but some nice ice-cold water would have been a lot more satisfying than this. Staff were friendly and efficient. Dining area nice and clean; the kitchen is right there behind the counter and everything looked clean. This could be a tough location, with the extensive construction and renovation of buildings here. The last restaurant here didn't last long. I'm hoping this place has better fortune. For what it's worth, I definitely preferred tonight's burger meal over the meals I had at the previous spot. It's a good burger. And good fries. You should try them! A glorified glass of milk, thin as rainwater and twice as disappointing. I've had richer drink spillings off a cow's chin. The ranch? Ah, don't get me started. Watered down so badly I thought they'd scooped it straight from the creek after a hard storm. If flavor were gold, there'd be none to be found in it, not a glimmer nor a whisper. And the fries--cold.
