Usually you can't go wrong with 5 guys they have great burgers and excellent fries. But my last visit to this location was awful. Everything started off great when I was able to easily order my food off the app. I headed over and was told that my order was ready on the app however, when I arrived it was quite the opposite they hadn't even started making my meal. It took them 25 min to get the food ready which makes no sense since five guys is supposed to be fast. So now i was given my food and see that everything is marked correctly on the receipt so in an attempt to get out of there fast I didn't open up each burger in the order (big mistake). Not only were the toppings wrong in several burgers they were also burnt and as you know nothing is worse that having a nice crunchy meat patty. So maybe the fries will redeem them right? Wrong! They were also cooked wrong and the texture was off. I think I am going to give this location a bit of a break. But I'll probably come back to give them another shot when I give in. read more

Absolutely horrible, we walked in and it was scalding hot, thermostat on the wall (in the lobby) said 80 degrees. Perfet for sweaty college kids in the area but not the place for adults. Went to this five guys location for my lunch. Place looks nice, and organize. The waiting time was great too. I've been craving five guys for like a week, I went to a location down in Kendall and it was closed. So next day I went to the one in Pinecrest/Dadeland area and I was happy to see they were open since they're been closing a couple dive guys down here in SF. They're burgers are awesome, and the French fries as well. And omg I've tried their Malted Milk Milkshake which I didn't know they had and it was the bomb. Yes! Five Guys in Pinecrest. Now there is a Five Guys Burger within 10 minutes of my house no matter what direction I go. This one just opened in Pinecrest in the Dadeland Plaza right next to Rosters and Toasters. Typical Five Guys setup inside with tables, bags of potatoes, and blaring 60's and 70's rock and a staff of kids whose parents where probably conceived to the music they have playing. Their main decor consists of magazine covers highlighting how "they the best" in various markets as well as a cover photo of the "First Burger-lover", President Obama. I like that 5 guys is "Opt-in" as far as toppings and you don't have to discover your burger is slopped up with mayo upon returning to your table. Even the plain fries have seasoning, and I dig this is one of the few restaurants that offer cherry coke. The service (from ordering at the cashier to getting your burger) was fast and friendly last night even with a crowded house. 80s music (sat radio) made it that much better. Five guys is hands down my favorite burger spot ever. Not that they have the best burgers but they have good burgers cheap and quick . The french fries is a double serving which is great to share. I usually get a jr burger and it fills me up the same! The staff is quiet but their nice. my favorite part about taking a trip to five guys is when you walk in you get to see the big barrels of free peanuts!! Generally speaking, I don't eat a lot of red meat and I NEVER go out for fast food so when I was taken here the first time I was down right pissed but let me tell you I was proven WRONG! It was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten and it was cheap compared to comparable burgers at the high end gourmet joints! Now, when I get the urge to have a burger I have found my new go to place. These burgers are as good and maybe even better than I make at home and I don't have to clean up the mess! The meat is juicy and you cantell by its taste and texture that it is top notch beef. The fact it is fresh makes a HUGE difference. The fries are made with hand cut potatoes that the double fry which I found amazing because that is never done at fastfood places. Most importantly, my finicky daughters absolutely love the fries and veggie-cheese sandwiches, my son absolutely loves the hotdog with cheese, jalapenos and bacon and my husband will do anything I ask if I pick him up a bacon cheese burger and Cajun fry. So for my family this place is a welcome change from our normally meatless lifestyle. The portions here are ridiculous! One large fry feeds my whole family and my husband who is 6'4" and a former college football lineman finds the bacon cheese burger and fries a challenge to eat on his own. In fact, the last time we went my husband weighed his burger "all the way" and it weighed almost 3 lbs! I was slightly frightened. So, definitely go hungry and try to CALL YOUR ORDER IN your order to avoide the line! It saves loads of time. Placed an order for 8 burgers and 4 fries through Uber eats. We accidentally forgot to add a burger to the order and it was still being prepared so I called five guys and they refused to add the burger to my order. Ok no big deal, we just did an entire separate order for the single burger. We waited over an hour for our order of 8 burgers. The single burger we ordered was delivered 10 minutes before even though it was placed way after our original order. When our order was finally delivered HALF the order was missing. All of the burgers were missing toppings that were requested and some had toppings that were never requested. I called five guys and they apologized and let me know that they would be sending someone with the rest of our order which was a compete lie. After 10 minutes of waiting I called back and thats when they decided to let me know that they were going to have the portion of my order refunded. The employees that work at this location are completely incompetent, disorganized and in desperate need of training. Every interaction I had with them was a mess, they couldn't even answer the phone properly. Overall a terrible experience and I suggest nobody orders from any delivery service through them. read more

The peanuts are just the best addition to this great meal. 2 things. 1...fries are too salty. 2...Unfortunately this location got my order wrong and maybe it was a new cashier that took my order but it was a bit disappointing when I noticed for a second time that my order was wrong. Ordered 3 burgers mine was supposed to have grilled onions went and got those on the side then I noticed my 4 year old had a burger instead of a cheeseburger. Every single time the food is made only after I arrived at the store. They text you a link to notify them when you are leaving to pick up the food BUT the food is NEVER ready when I arrive. Yesterday I went to get burgers and fries for a friend and me. I called over the phone and made a take out order they said would be ready in 7 minutes. When I get there the burgers are almost done and they began cooking the fries. I like that they do that so they don't get stale. So I ask the guy cooking the fries to make them without salt and he said sure. I watch him as he looks for a container to put the fries in so they aren't mixed with the bin they out all the salted fries in. He then looks at the tool they use to put fries in the cup and realizes that it's covered in salt and cleans it with a paper towel. I have to say beyond the fact that the food is really yummy this fry guy "Alex" went above and beyond to ensure my fries were salt less. Was on the way to Burger King and saw this. Remembering the great Yelp reviews, I took my family here with a sharp right turn. After the whiplash pain dwindled, we went in and it looked exactly as described. Staff was great, order-taker very very talkative and had many suggestions for my indecisive loved-ones. This is 5 levels better than burger king. So only 3 stars? I thought about 4 due to the goumet selections but maybe it is just my bland desire for an undressed burger, but the place did not sufficiently meet up to the hype. The staff and gourmet selections notwithstanding, everything else was just average (so much beeter than BK mind you). The burger patty was slim. I got up and looked at all the reviews hung on the walls and all the pictures showed a much thicker burger like the kind I make for my backyard bar-b-que's. But this was a Wendy's special single size, just a little less greasy. the fries were ok (but plentiful, no complaint there) So the main food just didn't meet my expectaions and I guess the gourmet selections are enough for others to ofer better reviews. Again in fairness, I ordred and ate just a bland burger. Give me A Checkers burger patty with a Five Guys gourmet selection and I am a 5-star fan. Five Guys is the best fast-food-style burger out there, in my opinion. Disclaimer: My wife (who likes Five Guys) still contends that In-N-Out is better -- but she was a Californian far longer than I before I moved back to S. FL and over in So Cal, the superiority of In-N-Out is a matter of unshakable faith. Anyway, the meat is super-juicy, the bun has a good amount of potato flower and the toppings hit the spot. In particular, I like the option of either grilled or not mushrooms and onions (grilled!). If you get a burger make sure it's "All the Way" -- anything less isn't a fair shot. They have also tons of sauce and topping variations. I'll also note that their fries are cut from potatoes on-site, and they treat them like wine, even given the source of that day's taters. Are there better burgers? Sure, but not at a quick-service style restaurant nor for the price. Although this was more a general Five Guys review, I want to note that we were trying to go for a bit of a snack/lunch because we were going to be eating in a bit but were hungry -- so we ordered one burger. The girl behind the counter, without our asking, offered to CUT IT IN HALF for us. That is the type of service that other fast food places could learn from. read more

Yes, the burgers are a step up from McDonald's (and considering they cost double without even including fries, you'd hope they would be!), but is this the best burger I have ever had in my life? No, not even close. I do like that you can get extra toppings for free, but the fries are expensive, and even getting 2 of the "little" burgers and 2 drinks, I ended up paying around $20, which seems a rip-off. I feel like for $20, I should be getting something a little bigger, or it should at least include fries. Actually, a friend ordered the fries and they looked very greasy, so I am not sure if I would have even enjoyed them. Shoot, it seems the Denny's burgers are meatier (and cheaper). Anyway, my point is, I am not impressed. I can get a better and healthier meal elsewhere. This is the newest Five Guys location to open in the Kendall area that I'm aware of. I've been to all of them and this location is a nice addition. My only complaint is that this location seems to be stingy with the fries... most Five Guys locations are very generous with their portions of fries and this one gave me the smallest I have ever received.
