The burger was humongous with 2 patties and I added an egg for an extra dollar. The burger is seasoned excellently and so juicy, the egg was a perfect addition to this burger and I highly recommend if you do want to try it! Smash fries were also super delicious and a great portion for the price, my girlfriend loved them! We had a hankering for a Saturday late night (around 10pm) burger, and we've had this place on our list to try. We were greeted immediately by two staff members. Natalia helped us get a lay of the [burger] land. Hubby chose low carb item-double smash burger on a fried queso bun $13 minus the potato sticks, I wanted signature Miami smash-single patty cheese burger only $10! We got a number 13 & sat. I went up when they called it, picked up our two requested ice waters, complimentary. Hubby's had potato sticks, but Natalia apologized for her bad. No worries, I ate them haha. Wow! What a great experience. This is a very small clean and friendly family run place where you place your order at the counter and they give you a number that they will call when your food is ready but they delivered our food to our table. Parking was easy at the time we went. This is a small strip mall with not a lot of parking spaces. There is very few seating inside but we were lucky to get a table. Service was fast. Everything is made to order. We ordered the Miami smash burger and it was huge and the price was very reasonable and everything tasted fresh. Our burgers were not over season and the maduro was flavorful and the bun was very soft and the cheese was melted. Between Two Buns is always a hit! Been coming here since the food truck days and cannot be happier they now have a store front. There are tables inside or you can order to go. Service always top notch (JP and his staff are always ready to give you their best). They play music inside which I love (always have some Good classics going on). As for the food...you literally can't go wrong. Burgers are insane and the come with maduros inside (yes maduros)! Chicken is fire (one of my favs in Miami) and I'm obsessed with their loaded fries. Not a bad burger spot, it's a little hole in the wall nestled in Kendall between a Dunkin' Donuts. I was craving a late night burger with some fries and this exceeded my expectations. I hadn't heard much about this place, but I figured since they have smash burgers, I could give it a try. GonzoEats is back and have another for you guys. This time the smash burger. I have some mixed feelings here and will definitely have to go for a second take to be sure. Smash burgers the craze and for good reason. This place has been recommended to me by people I know and has been on my socials time and time again. Staff is friendly and the owner is a cool individual and present at least when I went. Decor is cool sticks to the logo and theme of the food at least for me but I'm no interior designer so next topic lol. Food was good like I mentioned place was so highly recommended that I over hyped it myself which never goes well for me. However the burgers were spot on. I had the Miami smash which was great minus the maduro and pickles. I know I know but simplicity for me is good with food. Patties were cooked great hard to accomplish with thin patties. The French fries were bomb and I'm not big on sauces with pickle flavor or pickles in general but their sauce fire. shout out to one of the staff that let me try it out. My wife had the spicy burger known as the island smash. That was delicious the spicy was just right not to much not to little and the bbq sauce mellowed it all out. I also had the Oreo shake. Now this shake was thicccc so forget the straw use the spoon. Overall I can see myself using this spot as a cheat meal day or a day I want a good burger. I really want this little restaurant to succeed, the potential is there but it needs a lot of improvement. Customer service it's outstanding, you can tell they are trying to attend all needs, and the staff is friendly and courteous, but... They recently open this location , i live in the area and decided to give it a try. I'll start by commenting on the first impression i perceived, as you walk in the first thing you come across is the open kitchen floor, is tricky to have one, because customers will be paying attention! The place was somewhat clean, but i could not help but see that the frier/ grill where they cook, had a pool of grease on the floor, to the right side back of it... big enough that i could see it by the register. After i placed my order I had to make a quick stop to the bathroom for my daughter to wash her hands but on the way there i could not help but see the run down floors and scratched exit doors that could need a little scrubbing and paint love, they also had buckets of paint and products piled on top of a wall, I'm not being picky, it's just not pleasing to see all that junk stored inside the restaurant, as i made it to the restroom...my 8yr old daughter pointed out at a grotesque picture hanging on the wall, it might be funny for a few but i missed the memo...please keep it classy, that's if you want families to come here too. Now let's talk about the food, their menu ...they specialize in smash burgers, sandwiches, fries and salads. To me it was a little difficult trying to figure out what to order because all their burgers are specialties, they feature on the Menu: the Miami Smash, Single Smash, Island Smash and Chicken Smash, they all contain special ingredients...i feel it would be an easier process to order if they just will feature a regular cheese and patty burger on the menu as a first option and then just take it from there, i ended up having to customize all the burgers we ordered by taking out some of the ingredients and that made the ordering process confusing and longer. The food arrived in a timely manner and i was excited to try it out, the burgers have a good size and the presentation was ok, but...as i took the first bite of the burger i was knocked out with disappointment by the coldness of the bread, the difference that a steam bun makes on a burger is priceless, the bread was fresh and soft, but the combination of the coolness of the veggies and the room temperature ( "a/c temperature" )bread made the burger not have the right warm temp that you expect to have on a just made burger. The meat of the patty was thin but didn't have the crunchy borders you expect from a smash burger, it was just flat and cooked to well done and no particular flavor to it. Also unexpectedly the fries that come along with them are all seasoned with salt and lots of pepper, they should advise it first or again put it listed on the menu. The star of the burgers is their home made island sauce, it is really good. I hope they can see my review as constructive criticism, i am not really trying to trash them out but help them out a little for the future. read more

A delightful setup in a strip mall parking lot (Firestone), the friendly and exuberant guys that are the burger making dream team will greet you with their smiles and specials. This is all about the ultimate Smash Burger and these guys pile on their beef and don't scare away from the toppings. Their Miami Smash is a must try layered with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and maduros which are sweet plantains. Yes yes & Yesss it was just as good as it looked on the menu. Don't omit the maduros just go for it. We also tried their Bang chicken fries - fully loaded with their crispy chicken and the fries are nice, thin and crunchy. Come with me to Between Two Buns, a food truck located in Country Walk. If you are looking for a great deal on sliders, they are the food truck to visit on Tuesdays. They have Sliders at $2.50/ each. I ordered 12 sliders for my family, and they were good. I also ordered their Loaded Smash Fries, different from other Smash fries I've tried before. They come with Maduros (sweet plantains) combined with the meat, an interesting twist. The service quality was excellent, and we were greeted very nicely by Viviana at the window. She very well explained the deals and the menu. Overall, I did like Between Two Buns. The only opportunity I found was that the meat was a bit dry on the sliders.
