Management doesn't know how to handle the online business. They keep your burger sitting in the back until they finally ask your name after serving all the in-house orders...then they give you your cold burger. I ordered about 8 PM CAME IN AT 8:29 PM MY ORDER WAS NOT READY AND I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS. You should know people order ahead because they have places to be or a schedule to stick too. As I was writing a review for another location of Five Guys and lamenting that I had let some of the negative "big corporate" haterade on Five Guys sway my opinion of them, I was hit with an immediate Five Guys craving. So I finished up the review, grabbed my iPhone, and pulled up the Five Guys app. I have to admit, I love this new trend of ordering through phone apps, which allow for complete customization of an order without anything getting "lost in translation". For Five Guys, I saw that that you can also get grilled jalapenos and grilled green peppers in addition to grilled mushrooms and onions. I popped in an order for a cheeseburger with all the grilled options, A1 and pickles, and "small" side of Cajun Fries. So is this the new "go to" Five Guys burger for me? Not quite. The green peppers are cut too large and aren't cooked enough. The grilled jalapenos were OK, although the green pepper seemed to dominate the toppings. I'll try grilled mushrooms, onions, and jalapenos, with A-1 and pickles next time. But otherwise, it was another great burger from Five Guys. And that "small" order of Cajun Fries ... well, we all know what happens when you order a small order of fries at Five Guys. Seriously, I don't even bother with a large order anymore. Top 3 "fast food" burgers of all time in my book. Several topping choices for the burgers is unique and awesome. Fries are also extremely tasty. The portion of fries is ridiculous -- the small is enough for two adults. While others say this is unnecessary and might view it as a negative, I think this is great. More fries for my whining kids since they always ask for more! Just know the portions are massive and err on the smaller sizes for the fries if you are eating solo. Cajun fries are highly seasoned and very good. Food usually comes out really quick and staff are always friendly. Atmosphere is loud (employees shout orders to each other) and lots of peanuts to enjoy while you wait. Love this place and recommend to anyone who hasn't tried this place yet. read more

The fries are fantastic but I like Evolution Burger better because they have grass fed beef and veggie burgers. Five guys lives on a fallacy that meat that isn't frozen tastes better. This claim isn't exactly true but the marketing is brilliant. The burgers are made with fatty conventional meet and are really nothing but a vehicle for the toppings and condiments. Sunday is pizza or burger day so decided on Five Guys in Reston. I've eaten at this and many other Five Guys restaurants in the area. If there were two words to describe Five Guys, it would be "consistently great." In all fairness to Five Guys, the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are better burgers out there (though they'll cost you $12 - $16). I love a good burger joint, and Five Guys is one of the best on my list. They really know how to make a great juicy burger. I usually go for the bacon cheddar burger with the works. The fries are a bit on the salty side, but there are tons of them. They are served in a cup that is full to the brim. Once you are finished with the fries in the cup, there is usually another cups-worth in the bag. What makes Five Guys stand out from other restaurants is the peanuts. As soon as you walk into the door, there are readily available to make the time go quickly while in line and waiting for the burger. Quick tip - grab two peanut trays so that you have a place to put the empty shells. This location did not have any peanut shells on the floor. The environment is very clean and has a great atmosphere. You are also able to see the cooks working behind the counter in an open kitchen working well together to get burgers out quickly. read more

I like this joint. There has never been a wait to order at this location and the burgers and fries are consistently good and flavorful. Five Guys always seems to give you more than you expected, whether it is the friendly staff or the overflowing portions of french fries. When I want a good burger I don't want to fiddle around with a pricey little slider in a chic location. This place is all about the basic burger cooked fresh with your choice of toppings . I order delivery via another app. This branch is quite inconsistent in its quality. Some days it's great, other times the meat is undercooked and other times it's just bland. They say they offer curbside, but DON'T BELIEVE IT. You can't call when you get there because the phone is always busy (off the hook?). No one is watching for your car so you might as well order pick-up and save the frustration. If you wanted curbside to avoid the contact you're out of luck. You have to join the gaggle of people at the door waiting for their order and not maintaining an appropriate distance. By the time I figured out what was going on my food was cold. Terrible Meat - Cracked my Tooth! I went to the Reston location with my son. There was a piece of bone in my burger that cracked one of my molars. I have been blessed with healthy set of teeth, however due to their burger I am in process of getting my first ever crown. The crack was deep so I had to have crown lengthening procedure before they could even attach the crown. I've had 2 of my 3 dentist visits thus far, and the whole procedure is going to cost me approx. $1k out of pocket after insurance. I contacted Five Guys, and the regional manager got back to me over phone and said they were going to send me a form to complete, however they never sent this form nor have they responded to my last 4 emails for this form. The food at this location is right in line with other five guys. Tasty burgers & fries, and they've got one of those new fangled soda machines with all the flavored syrups. I'm only ever here during the lunch and occasionally the wait can get a little long. The dining area is cramped and made worse by larger parties that crowd the entryway by joining tables into the aisle. Making it so that 5 guys cant eat at 5 guys with becoming the pariah of other diners. The number calling here fails on a regular basis. You've got to have super sonic hearing at times to hear when your order is ready. And if your sat near the front of the restaurant you have no hope to hear your order, just go gather with the rest of the mob near the pickup window. read more

If I've been there 10 times, 3 times I have had stale bread, burger cooked differently, or just a different tasting burger. I have had some of the best five guys burgers at this location and some of the worst. I would give five stars if it was consistent. It's the closest one to me so I don't really have a choice. The best five guys location I have been to as of yet! This location is hidden and I didn't know it was here until I looked up the closes 5 Guys around me. Upon walking in the location I noticed it was clean and there was only one gentlemen in front of me. Before I got to the register, the cook asked me what I would be ordering so he could get started on my patty (talk about making a girl feel special)! Lol when I got to the register I placed my order (which already had been started on). My husband has been raving about this place for a long time, and I finally had it today. So good. The prices are very reasonable and the burgers are made to order, and therefore fresh and hot. I got the "little" size burger, which was perfect; I think it's the same size as the regular, just only one patty instead of two. My only complaint was about the location itself and not the food. It was SO hot inside. I looked at the thermostat and it said 87 degrees. It was uncomfortable to wait in, and would have been unbearable to actually sit in there and eat, so we took it to go.
