Haven't been to Five Guys in a while and stopped by to grab a bite while in Vermont. After being in a car for close to 5 hours, the cheeseburger and Cajun style fries with a diet Dr Pepper vanilla was a perfect combo. Decided not to get a milkshake but sounded delicious. Also grabbed a plate of peanuts while we waited for our order to be ready. People came in and out but I believe we were the only ones dining in. The amount of fries they give you is ridiculous; could never finish it. Good old classic that never fails. read more

Here I am in Rutland VT, 2PM haven't had lunch yet...Five Guys - my son raved about, OK Five Guys it shall be. Ordered patty with pickles, onion, tomato, bacon - medium rare...we do well done only...that's going to be dry like a hockey puck, I said, blank stare...small fries & a coke - diet,he said?- No! perish the though...ok I'll try it well done. I see all these great reviews posted on the walls from Westchester Magazine...2001 Best of...voted best something or other in Islip NY. I wonder whether these people know were Islip NY is? Finally get a call, number 78 or whatever, go pick it up. The bag is heavy, look inside and it's just fries. Where is the burger? I dig in & there it is - THE BURGER. My son did tell us that these guys give you massive amount of fries. Ok, unwrap the burger...looks ok but the two patties look kind of dry. Take a first bite...HOCKEY PUCK!!!!! Actually more like styrofoam - crumbly a mouth full of cotton. I also have rabbit food - lettuce, were are the pickles? I'll take any of the fast food burgers over these guys - Smash Burger, MickeyD's, Wendys, Shake Shack even BK or DQ, Sonic - nyet, same category as 5 Guys read more

Five Guys - Rude man - Burgers Near Me - Rutland, Vermont

Food was good, staff was friendly, proper Five Guys experience. Two complaints though, the restaurant lays out as linear, with our reasonably clean table at the front, and food pickup and soda fountains at the back with no PA paging when orders were ready, so one of us had to "guard" the pickup spot. When we needed more napkins, long walk was required to grab more. Other, bigger complaint, the front door lacks a vestibule. So when the front door swings open on a windy winter night, half the diner's feel it, so parkas stay own, as drippy, juicy burgers are enjoyed. read more

2 stars for the food. I went in tonight for dinner it was busy yes but it took me 25 minutes to get my food they didn't add bacon on my bacon cheese burger! The burger was soggy and nasty the fries were soggy and under cooked so yeah gross the staff tho was all upbeat and happy to be getting swamped I just wish the food quality was better tbh it was so bad I only ate 3 bites of burger and ate 2 fries and threw it in the trash. read more

Went here in between two jobs I was doing in Rutland now I normally like them but was thinking that because I'm in Rutland VT I wouldn't be getting great service. That was just the opposite I actually ended up getting the best service an was greatful for giving them a chance. I walked in the door yes it was clean wasn't packed an didn't have to wait a long time. Happy about that. I ordered my food an the cashier was pleasant an easy to talk too. Then after my order came up the person there was very friendly an enviting over all it was a great experience an would go back. read more

came here for dinner the first night we arrived in vermont after checking into our airbnb. i personally wasn't in the mood to eat burgers but my friend were so the majority won. there was only one person at the register so it took awhile for us to order, but otherwise, once we ordered our food, it came out relatively quickly. the server was nice. i tried the BLT for the first time here. unlike a tradition BLT on toasted white bread, it was in the burger bread - which threw me off- but nevertheless it was okay. read more

I wrote a review last night that I'd like to revise. I got a badly put together burger and very salty fries. I called 5 Guys today and spoke with the manager, what a nice guy !!! He gave me a burger and fries free and even offered me a milkshake. I drove to 5 Guys and the manager brought the food out to my car. Everything was perfect. Was driving through rutland and was shocked these guys opened up a location here. Store has great parking at central location in town. So you walk in and can help yourself to free peanuts. Ordered regular bacon cheese burger with french fries. Order took about 10 minutes to come up. Burger was delicious and the medium fries could have fed an army because they put an extra big scoop of fries un the bag. Cashier was realy friendly. The only difficult part was the price. Burger was 8 something and 4 something for fries so maybe 13 with water to drink. At first it seems like a lot but a lg double quarter meal with fries at the golden arches is pushing 11 bucks so not that far off. The meal filled me up much more then the golden arcges plus the quality was FAR better. I will return for sure but might reduce my frequency of visits due to price. read more

The fries get the stars unfortunately, the burger grill was super filthy, every table was in need of a wipe down, the floors were super gross too. The staff was nice but everything just seemed gross. Ended up only getting fries. read more

I love Five Guys - I've had them in various states and they are standardly delicious across the board! Now having a small child, I was very happy to see some high chairs that allowed my 6 mo old, who doesn't quite sit on his own yet, the ability to sit with us. AND THEY WERE CLEAN. Another happy visit :) Edit to add: the employees are great! The cashier was on top of it when we received our order and I said to myself out loud, "oh where's the shake?" And I didn't even have to ask directly, he told me he was about to make it. Another gentleman on the burger side interacted with my son which was sweet! read more

I understand that there are different operating hours due to COVID but when all of your viable signs state you are open and your large neon sign is still illuminated with O P E N your employees shouldn't stand behind the glass door and shake their head at you when you try and open the door. Followed by frantic pointing at the temporary hour sign that is barely legible from five feet away. Everyone is frustrated right now and your procedures for temp hours add to them. Maybe educate your staff in customer service your store has the rudest employees of any location we have ever been to! read more

I ordered my food online and when I got the restaurant they couldn't find my name anywhere so I sat down. I waited 30 minutes and they never called my name. They told me they had called my 5 times but they never called it. My food sat getting cold for 45 minutes. read more

I know they have just opened but the burger was over cooked (like a hockey puck) service was slow. I've been to other Five Guys restaurants and this just isn't up to par. Hope things improve. read more
