One and a half hotdogs... the special sauce specifically of this place since 1919... it's good.

I always get 2 hotdogs at the counter and if I'm still hungry I get one more dog... it's fast and friendly and easy and quick which is perfect for me because my office is across the street where I run a small ad agency here downtown. It's a busy cute and easy local joint.

When you need a good, tasty and filling lunch, check this place out. Their dirt dogs look really good, and hope to try it sometime! I've tried their Philly cheesesteak lunch as well as the fish sammich. They have a pick-up window for fast expediting! Haven't eaten inside yet, but one day :)

New Way cole slaw was lovely to look at but bland on the tongue.

New Way Lunch is my favorite among the many mini-hot dog places in the Cap District. First, their dogs while not full size are more substantial than others, giving you a satisfying satiety after you've downed just a few of them. Second, there's something extra in the sausage, a flavor complexity in addition to the usual juicy meaty satisfaction. Third, the meat sauce also has an extra twist thanks to cinnamon or another warm spice. I fed myself two dirty dogs (which have mustard, onions and meat sauce) at $1.80 each and an order of cole slaw for $3.00. I like to try cole slaw if it's on the menu and rate it on the size of the portion (often minuscule and a poor value for money) and the dressing. New Way scores with a generous portion which was garnished with a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice, but the slaw itself was not prepared in-house but rather out of a prepackaged tub. The location is very convenient, right off the main drag in downtown GF. You have your choice of counter seating, 50s style booths, a takeout window or (in good weather) a covered patio outside. Overall, a fine way to get your mini-hot dog fix.

A local gem! New Way is a no frills, retro-feeling place that was great for lunch. There are some booths or you can eat at the counter. My mom got hot dogs and I got the Philly cheese sandwich with chicken. My sandwich was a bit bland but with a bit of Mayo and a dash of hot sauce- delicious! The meat sauce on the hot dogs is a tasty addition. We had a brownie which was extremely chocolate-y. The also serve cakes and pies. Service was minimal but I feel like since it was effective, I didn't mind at all. This feels like a cozy local spot where I want to be a regular!

New Way Lunch is a small Mom and Pop spot in the Heart of Adirondack Thunder Country, Glens Falls, NY. Some of the best hotdogs that I ever hand in a while and they have really good fries as well. They do have other food like Burgers. The service is great very friendly. The service is pretty quick even though it was busy today. Saturdays, I would say it was there busy days. Plus it is very affordable. Wish we had some of these type of place back home in Southern New Hampshire.

my family and i stopped here on our way to move my stuff out of my college dorm. the parking is good and the place is small and homey. our waitress was very nice and our food got served very fast. three breakfast meals was around 43$ which isn't bad at all for us!

Of all the many Capital District hot dog places (Famous Lunch, Gus's, First Prize Mike's, Hot Dog Charlie's, etc... we are lucky to have a LOT), New Way Lunch (Dirty John's) is KING! It's the meat sauce. The traditional Upstate NY hot dog has raw onion, mustard, and meat sauce. New Way Lunch has the perfect combination. The meat sauce is perfect - nobody else can match it.

Good eats for cheap. Old school diner serving hot dogs, burgers and other staples from flat top grill. Hot dogs with works come topped with meat sauce, onions and mustard and buns are soft and slightly steamed. A classic place for a quick, no fuss bite.

I love this place. The hot dogs are out of this world, the staff is exceptional, and the entire place is kept immaculately clean. Whenever I visit the area, this is a must go to place.

Not sure why it took me so long but I recently ate lunch with awesome friends at "New Way Lunch" in Glensfalls NY. It's only 10 minutes from Lake George, NY and it was a step back in time and an absolutely delicious lunch. A simple menu of their famous hotdogs, sandwiches and desserts . They're open for lunch and dinner only. This beautiful piece of nostalgia sent me back to my childhood and made me smile and enjoy the great food even more! It's a tiny locally loved restaurant that is tucked between chains but it's a great place to eat! #NewWayLunch #NostalgiaLives #5Stars

Table for two, frank you very much.

Something tasted off about the soup. - Spaghetti and meatballs: The sauce was flavorless and the meatballs were very strangely seasoned. - A French dip sandwich: I should have known that this would be awful when the menu said it had cheddar cheese. I subbed in Swiss and it was still awful. The meat was very dry and flavorless. - Kids' chicken fingers and fries: This was fine. All told, we had two entrees, a kids meal, and a bowl of soup. Along with two sodas, the total came to almost $70 before tip. That's a lot more than I wanted to spend for such lousy food. Prices of some other items (especially drinks) were even more absurd. I'm not going to pay $7 for a Coors light. I'm definitely not going to pay $17 (!!!) for a Long Island iced tea at some random diner. Service was fine.

Affordable farm-to-table experience, rural heartland diner with world class cooking…read more Everything we ate at the diner tasted like Grandma used to make, that is, if Grandma were Julia Child. We had an exceptional omelette made with local eggs, with fresh veggies sauteed perfectly, delectable expertly seasoned home fries, the best biscuits and gravy this side of heaven, followed by perfect lemon meringue pie which words simply cannot describe. All brought to us by a gentleman who missed his calling in standup comedy. To say that we're hoping to go back soon is the understatement of the century. We adore this place It's difficult for me to fathom how the food can possibly be this delicious, but I guess divine intervention is still a thing, these "meals that heal" are nothing short of sacred. So good. Mandatory upstate dining for locals, family, tourists, foodies, and any hungry angels passing through.

We sat down and it took 10 min to get water. The girl waiting the tables was sweet, but things move faster in the south than they did here. We had to call her over to place the order. Finally got my order, sat and waited until the waitress walked past hubby's burger 3 times before realizing it was ready for pickup. Meanwhile we have no Silverware/napkins. Jeff had the special of the day Swiss burger. Should have asked the price for the special - when we got the bill it was itemized from Burger down to the tomato. It was in NO way a burger baked at the $16+ price! The hot turkey sandwich tasted like the turkey was microwaved - chewy- the gravy was extremely heavy with the taste of poultry seasoning and pepper. It really wasn't good. We sat for quite awhile before finally asking the waitress to bring our check. I will Leave this with two positives - the fries were good and the waitress was friendly, when she was around. It was not worth $33 for this lunch.
