We like it! I'm more of a "fries" guy and I love it! It ain't your old 25 cent hamburger as far as cost, but we enjoy going there.

Love this place when you want something quick but relatively healthy. I always get a burger on lettuce, and it never disappoints. Thinking about it, is making my mouth water. Fryers are gluten free as well I believe, so it's a good option if you have an allergy. read more

Excellent burgers. I go here when I want to taste really good beef. Have you tried the secret to getting your cheese melted? You order it "grilled cheese" style. They flip the buns over, toast them, and melt the cheese. You order your toppings just like normal, and ask for the bun to be grilled cheese style. I highly recommend this secret ordering tip for hot gooey cheese on your burger. read more

Messed up my order. Had to go back so they could fix it and had to wait while everyone else was done eating.

I always enjoy five guys. I had rolled into the hotel, and didn't want to go out. I found that Door Dash delivers for them. I ordered, it said it would be a half hour. It was ten minutes from order placed to delivery at the hotel. I was surprised. They were on it, like blue bonnet! The food was great, and came just as ordered. Better than expected. read more

I ordered online with doordash and went inside before my order was ready. It took them a few minutes to finish it and they handed me a bag when they were done. I get to my car and noticed the name wasn't even close to the one I said besides the first letter. I go back in to tell them they gave me the wrong one. They took it and somewhat tried to figure out my actual order basically informing me they didn't have anything with that name. They helped some other people before telling me they had my order ticket and went back to making the food. A few minutes later they then came up to me and told me that they had an order earlier with that name and that some other doordasher took it and since they don't have another ticket they can't remake it and i have to figure it out with doordash. I'm mostly upset that I waited around so long for an order that apparently wasn't even there before I went in and that they didn't even try to help me figure out what to do. I am not a doordasher i only order from them so they made me feel like I just gave someone else all my money. Thankfully doordash is super easy to get problems solved but i would've rather just paid once and got my order rather than pay twice and get refunded in a week. read more

This has always been one of my sons favorite burgers. All made to order and a large variety of fresh toppings. I on the other hand have never been a fan and thought they were overpriced greasy mush burgers. The game changer has been the grilled cheese burger. It's so much better since it was always the grease mushy bun that grossed me out. Try it! You'll like it! The fries are really good, but just order the small. They give you enough to feed a small country. They have those pop machines where you can basically drink anything. It's about $30 bucks for two burgers, small fry and two drinks. They're open until 10 and we showed about about 9:20 and the place was empty. I know they probably had everything cleaned and ready to close, but I didn't get any indication they were put back by us being there. In fact all the staff was super nice. This has been one of the best burgers in St. Joseph until now. They now as of 2-3-23 don't know how to cook. I ordered 4 hamburgers and every single one of them were severely over cooked, dried out patties. 1 to the point of being slightly crunchy on the edges. The juicy burgers is why they are good, you need the fat .This is absolutely ridiculous that the entire staff cannot make a burger. If you are going to get new employees you might want to train them before you let them make the food. The awful food may have started sooner but I had never experienced it. I can not believe you would allow your restaurant to be destroyed in this fashion. St. Joseph is the one of the worst places to try and find a good restaurant (except for maybe Afganistan) Lets not ruin the ones we have. read more

Always in search of the ultimate burger in St. Joe? Keep looking. The map is wrong as well. Unfortunately, after a long wait, our burger was nothing special. I was expecting a bold beef flavor, but was disappointed. The fries were OK but too salty. Offering roasted peanuts to munch on while you wait was a nice touch! They also have the touch screen soda fountain that promises to deliver 101 versions of soda. It was a hoot watching computer illiterate red necks try to figure it out! This also added to the wait time, but mande up for it with its comedic appeal. read more

This is my first time in Five Guys but its awesome. Their burgers are awesome and their fries are natural cut and come in two "flavors". There are peanuts sitting out for a pre dinner snack if you want. The store is clean and brightly lit. The staff is friendly and helpful. All in all a good place to eat if you want to skip the diet ans eat something greasy. read more

Five Guys is the place to go. No matter what your time for lunch is they are sure to meet it and make sure to give you enough time to eat. Even after the food is out and in your hands they make sure to ask if you need anything. I love that this is one place where I can order and won't be given a weird look as they take my order. This is an okay place. Cleanness is okay, could be better. Fries are cooked a little too long. People could wash their hands a little bit more. The burger and soda was delicious! Have been a 5 guys regular for years. Stopped in tonight and brought burgers home for the family. Wife opens her burger and no meat! That's like buying new glasses and no lenses in them to see. How does a burger joint forget the burger? Called them and explained the situation. We live 30 minutes from the restaurant. Employee says he will call the district manager and have them refund my credit card for the amount of the burger. Ok cool. Calls back and says sorry have to have proof that no burger existed and bring in the receipt. WTF? You have my CC receipt. Now I'm getting mad and explain we are too far away to make it in tonight and that it is BS. I'm not a complainer and understand we all make mistakes, but if you do make a mistake take care of it and avoid bad yelp reviews. I told him I will not be back nor my family and will let everyone I know what took place. Could have handled it much differently. Frustrated in KS. read more

Great place to get a burger in Saint Joseph. I would say the best. Not exactly a burger town, but still great chain burger joint. People in town complain of the prices, but the cheapest burger is under 5$ and cheapest fries is like 2$, so that's 7$. At a horrible place like BK a meal with a decent burger is something like 5-6$ anyways. And that's BK, McDonalds low grade meat. Which would you rather have? What I got: Little hamburger, extra green peppers (for texture), grilled onions, jalepenos, grilled mushrooms, mayo, A1steak sauce. And small order of fries (regular) Dining area: if you have been to one FGs you have been to them all. Area was kept clean, I really like the setup. It's really a place to just get a simple good burger. Service: always good. When I came in the staff was friendly and attentive even when lunch was going on. Food takes a while to make (I waited 10 minutes) but your talking about fresh burgers, not frozen. Food: meat: very juicy, not uniquely tasty, but very meaty and juicy great quality. They let the condiments augment the overall flavor of the sandwich. Veggies: if you go here PLEASE get the green peppers and jalepenos! They really give you a nice crunch and spice to the burger. Also the A1 is a really nice touch it really puts the whole thing together. The mushrooms are just ok. You can do without them, they are not marinated or anything. Cheese makes it taste better (but I did not get it this time). There is also the option of bacon, or two patties (the "standard" burger). Doubling up on the patties is good if you are really hungry but I don't get it, because the little burger is plenty, plus you dilute the flavors of the condiments. Fries: good steak fries. Nothing fancy. Enormous quantity! A medium is good for 3 people with a decent appetite as a side. Very oily. Soft, not very crunchy. A little salty for me. But cooked well through the middle. For some reason the ketchup really makes them taste great. Not sure if that is a good thing. You can also have cajun fries (too salty though, mildy better flavor). The fries at blanc burgers & bottles one hour south in KC are so much better! Amazing of you want some truly decadent gourmet fries! Best: green pepper, jalepenos, juiciness of patties, quality of meat, price. Worst: saltiness of the fries, not enough flavor in meat. read more

I can get a better burger off my grill but for a store bought burger it doesn't get much better. Fresh meat and made while you wait. Any type of topping you want and served piping hot !
