The food was okay. My sandwich was drowning in sauce. My bf did not like his soup and mine just tasted like it came out of a can. It was $33 for my boyfriend and I to eat. The dining room was setup better than average. I got a cheese steak sandwich and a cup of chili. I was not pleased with either. The cheese steak was very sweet tasting almost like it was coated in sugar. The chili did not have a very desirable taste at all, no macoroni which I do prefer. Panera Bread is a giant chain with something like 2,000+ chains in the US alone. In the tiny, rural area of the south side of Terre Haute, I understand that when this restaurant opened up, this was huge for a community like this and still is. And people seem to love it. You can gather, sit in their large dining area, chat over coffee and a salad with girlfriends or simply grab and go. But this location in general seems to always leave me feeling flat. After placing an order on-line for a Caesar salad to go (for I know there is often a line that can move at a snail's pace if I order at counter), I get my $9.42 purchase home and I am completely underwhelmed. It appears like the container may be half full, but with two dressings and it is missing the small baguette that it is to come with. A sad salad and a deflated customer. Nothing seems to move too quickly in this store, no hustle by an employee to be seen. Not sure what my expectation is, but this spot is always a bit depressing to me. This is not the first time I have felt this way at this location (mediocre salads, bagels that are moderately stale, slow staff), but today they get my crappy Yelp review. read more

Way overpriced for mediocre food. I ordered the Chiptole Chicken Bowel and lemonade, costing over $16. The bowel is a bowel of rice and black beans with just a few chunks of chicken, cherry tomatoes, and an avocado thron in. No flavor, nothing Chiptole about it. To top it off, the bread was stone cold. They couldn't even warm the bread. Needless to say I won't be returning here soon. read more

I really like Panera, but I haven't been to other one so I can't really compare service. But my food always comes out correctly and it's pretty fast. Bathrooms are clean. the new Madagascar vanilla cold brew with almond milk is so delicious, highly recommend and it's only a hundred calories. I usually come here for the bagels, but I was feeling fancy and caught a rap today. It got the new Mediterranean wrap it was very delicious, and under 300 calories. read more

Ordered online, showed up, 1.drink with the order 2. after asking for the large cup I was directed to the cashier, not the meal prep section. 3. so I got it from the cashier then I went to the fountains to find them ALL empty. 4. I Informed the two girls working, and the response was that they were short staffed. 5. I requested a refund because I had water in the car. Apparently they could not do that because the manager was "in the restroom ". 6. While traveling we saw the sign for Panera(for you st. louis peeps--st. louis bread co) well mac-n-cheese sure sounded good to this road warrior...so I took the exit..it was a good 3 miles which is a lot when taking a trip...but I was determined.... We passed pretty much every other food offering there was but I did make it..... I got the pick two mac-n-cheese and a chicken pannini of some type...Hubby got a turkey type sandwich. I spent this weekend looking for good places to study. My criterias are: free wifi, coffee, ample seating, and outlets. I found all of this AND a great lunch here! I came during sunday brunch hours and quickly got my food and seat within the first fifteen minutes. The staff was friendly and the tables were clean. There was a staff member who consistently cleaned the tables once the customers were gone which ensured there will always be seats. I got the broccoli cheddar and turkey BLT with a caramel latte. All were a great start to my study session. The latter could be a little stronger in coffee but I'll note to add a shot or something next time. Panera is consistently good. I had the Asiago Bacon Egg & Cheese with a Caramel Latte to wash it down. The breakfast sandwiches are craveable. At least they seem healthier than the other fast food options in the AM. It is never too crowded, so even the chill and study crowds can find a spot to hang. Panera is close to home, has great food for big or small appetites, and healthy or decadent choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and breaks. They have a Thai salad that is spicy, filling, healthy, and has layers of flavors to enjoy. Staff is very knowledgeable about the huge selection of foods. We have also used them for catering over Christmas and were very pleased with the food to satisfy a wide variety of tastes. There is free WI-FI, and there are cozy chairs and couches near a fireplace if you have the time or desire to enjoy that. I have never seen any of the staff not cheerful and helpful. They are the cream of the crop, and the whole atmosphere is cheerful, clean, upbeat. You can eat and run or linger and read the paper or catch up with friends. read more

I kind of gave up on this place...which makes me a little sad...because I loved it. For me...it was never a consistent experience. Sometimes they would be fully stocked on coffee...more times than not you have to wait 10 minutes for them to make it. I can accept that though. My big gripe? They are always out of stuff. I love Panera!! I usually order a salad here but their chicken soup in a bread bowl is so good too!!! The are a little more on the expensive side for a sandwich side but I would say it's so worth it! I love Panera, but this Panera disappointed me. There were flies everywhere. We ordered the frontega, and the chicken was freezing cold, so we told the lady behind the counter and she was polite about it and said they would make us some more. The sandwiches they made were still cold and the cheese wasn't melted. We went back up and got a refund. I came from Arizona, where Panera is known as Paradise Bakery. It's the exact same menu, except Panera does things a bit differently. First, Panera doesn't accept my Paradise Bakery rewards card (even though it's the same company) and you don't get a free cookie with your You Pick Two meal. The food is very expensive.... This is my go-to place for semi fast food in Terre Haute. All of their soups are excellent. I really like the Pick 2 options. I usually get the Asian Chicken Salad and the Black Bean soup. It is really tasty and relatively low calorie. Like most everyone, I also love the Cinnamon Crunch bagel! My only complaint is they seem to take off my favorite item when they change up their menu. Oh, how I miss the Pepper Blue Roast Beef sandwich and more recently, the Cuban Chicken sandwich. read more
