The District is a cobble-stoned plaza that has a marvelous water fountain where one can perch and cool during an outside concert. the fountain is tiled with hand made ceramic tile and ceramic faces of all types...that was a real treat for Bob, a former custom tile setter-he just had to take a picture of it! The band is newly formed and plays Celtic music....some modern tunes as well but with a definite Celtic flair. The musicians are versitle; they all sing and play multiple instruments. I'd have to say, you'd have a hard time standing or sitting for that matter still while they are playing. The Irish seemed to come out in everyone in the audience as well. Small children danced, old couples spun about-it was quite a treat. Their next gig is at the Dixon May Fair, wish I could go! They will be deployed soon to go overseas and entertain and lift the spirits of our troops....what a wonderful way to use your craft....I must say, as a retired musician (I still sing though) I'm a bit jealous....wish I'd had this opportunity or even known about it as a young person.

We were looking for a sound person, who we could rent equipment from for our DJ, who was flying in from NYC. We also needed sound support for the ceremony and dinner....all of which, were outdoors. I searched everywhere in the Bay Area and was getting nowhere. Then, our chef recommended, Clark and Larkstarr Media and our needs were answered and more! Clark came out to the property months earlier to assess exactly what we needed. He didn't try to oversell and listened to what we wanted to achieve. He even called our DJ to discuss what his needs were to make sure he had all the equipment our DJ would need. He came to the venue a day early to do a sound check and made sure all was smooth. The day of the wedding he came early and was not only ready and professional, but, he just became part of the team....helping us with whatever was needed.....always kind and smiling. He was a total professional and a really great guy to work with. I would recommend Clark and Larkstarr Media for any sound needs you may have for whatever size event you are throwing. He is kind, clear, and honest. In my opinion, he is the ONLY guy to do this in the Greater Bay Area.

From the beginning they were quick to respond to our inquiry. They provided a fair quote based on our needs. They gave us an updated list of songs to choose from. We wanted more contemporary songs played, and they had a ton of options to choose from. They even learned to play a few new songs not on their list for a small fee. In order for the songs to sound more "full" we decided to go with their quartet option- which we highly recommend. On our wedding day the quartet was on time, courteous and professional. The rainy weather unfortunately changed our plans, and the venue had them moved to a different location than intended. Therefore, not all guests could hear or see them play from where they were- but that wasn't their fault. I think having them play indoors or in a more central location would make more sense. That being said, we did catch 3 of their last songs and we were blown away! Some of our guests even recorded them play and it was so cool to hear the songs we picked on strings. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them and can't thank them enough. BRAVO!

We provided a YouTube video of a specific mix of two songs and even specified at what tempo they should play, with additional notes on where to add emphasis. Well when the day came, it was like all that we talked about what was thrown out the window. They played a basic version of the song instead of the custom mix we had agreed on. To make matters worse, they made noticeable mistakes while playing, which was incredibly disheartening during such a special moment. All in all, the experience left us worse than disappointed. I wish I never hired them.

They ruined mine - a moment that meant so much to me, one I had envisioned since I was a little girl and one I will never get a do over for. Things will not go exactly as planned at your wedding, but this is a moment that you want right and should be relatively easy to ensure goes as planned. I will never forget standing outside my ceremony venue with my father waiting for our entrance when I heard them play my song (a song that was so deliberately chosen for my entrance with my father). Despite having filled out all their paperwork and clearly outlining who in the wedding party would be entering and in what order, they played my entrance song when my dog came down the aisle. You read that right. They played the song clearly outlined as the entrance for the bride for my dog. After a bit, they realized their mistake, stopped abruptly and went back to the plan that was so clearly outlined and discussed weeks before the event. I could not believe it. Neither could guests. After the wedding, a few of my friends shared that on top of this epic mistake, they had many starts and stops during the seating of the guests. One of my friends felt awful confessing "the strings seemed very confused." After the wedding I reached out to them about this. To make matters worse, I received an unbelievably rude response, refusing to take accountability for their mistake. Their response was that they thought the person walking my dog down the aisle was me because she was wearing a white dress. To be clear, she was wearing a blush dress and had a dog on a leash. I was wearing a giant white ballgown and had my father on my arm. An Elegant Touch of Strings ruined one of the most anticipated and important moments of my wedding - a moment that I can never redo - and refused to take accountability for it. They were an epic mistake I hope no future brides makes.

They also have photo opportunities after the show. They are very professional, they came early to set-up. & they have variety of characters. They accept cash only for now but after scheduling with them, everything went smoothly. They respond through texts and phone calls, touching base prior to the event was not a problem. I am very happy they were a part of my daughter's first birthday party.

The sound at the Sugartown Festival in Crockett was so bad, it felt disrespectful to the musicians…read more I spoke with an older fan who had seen the headlining band more than 15 times, and he said their sound is never a problem--he had never experienced audio this terrible at any concert, ever, in 30 years. One of the drummers seemed to be without a mic for the entire show. The trumpet player spent at least four songs straight trying to get the sound engineer's attention, and even after he got sound back, the audio continued to cut in and out. The lead singer's mic made him sound muffled and hard to understand. After the last song, the singer tried to ask the crowd if they wanted one more song, but the feedback was so loud and earsplitting that he couldn't even finish the sentence--and gave up. According to the audio company, the bad sound was the bands' fault and not his. I have never experience anything like this and am writing this review as a favor to musicians. Word needs to spread.

We went to the Sugartown Festival.. we are followers of Salvage Title ( a band who performed…read morethere).. it was the worst sound ever! If the sound guy for the band hadn't hibeen there, it would not have been saved..we then stayed for the following band Sacred Fire" Again, after an extensive sound check, there were still no horns and one of the horn players continued to ask for help ( on the lead singers microphone,). As he continued to plead, I looked back at the sound booth.. there was no one there! As a trained musician with a BA in music, I was shocked!! We ended up leaving after 1 1/2 songs into the set ( and I had been looking forward to the show). Had this been a good show , I would have recommend your sound company for future shows.. as it stands now.. if I hear your company is doing sound, I will not attend ( and I attend live shows almost every night ). . Could not be more disappointed... I hope you figure it out... FB, Instagram, Snapchat,etc. Will get this review as well
