Issue: 2 year old Samsung Dryer has strange noise and burnt/rubber smell during use. Dryer is out of warranty period (1 year only) Researched over 10 hours for good technician. Need service in Vancouver Area. Called Saied from Harmonious Appliances on Monday, he called me back on same day and came to check in afternoon for $65. For comparison, Totem ask for $110 (expensive) and comes next day, New Tech ask for $75 and might come 3 days later and did not call me back. Saied is owner of Harmonious Appliances and the other companies send their workers or redirect me to another company. I prefer to work with the owner if possible. Saied came on time and found the problem. He explained the issue clearly. Poor ventilation due to semi-blocked vent and excess heat causes the belt part to break. He contacted his supplier for parts and provided me quotes after 30min. He said he can get the parts and come back in 2 days. Saied came on time again after 2 days. He replaced the parts in timely manner and took the time to show me that dryer is working fine and no more strange noise. He helped me position the dryer so that the vent wont be partially blocked again. The parts and labor cost is $135. Total cost is $200 and it is fair and reasonable like the other poster said who also had dryer issue. Rating is 10 out of 10. I will certainly recommend to others. Finding a great technician for fixing washer/dryer appliances is very time-consuming. I can see I am in good company by recommending Saied from his unanimously positive reviews, and he deserves it. I live in Toronto and have used him twice over the past three years for our rental suite in Vancouver. Once to repair a fridge, and once to repair a top loading washer. I have another problem with the washer (not related to previous service call). And while he was top of mind as I was very happy with him before, I still did a quick due diligence check and called two other companies to compare. Saeid still stood out from the crowd. With a basic call cost of $65 (versus competitors at $70 and $75), and an hourly rate of $85 (versus $90) he is a no brainer based on fee structure. I am going to go with him again. And while this review may be a bit premature as I don't have the verdict on the most recent issue with the washer (stupid Whirlpool.) I was reminded how easy it was to work with Saeid and I had meant to write him a good review when I hired him back in 2015. Our Dryer stopping producing heat, and so began my search for a local repair technician. In my search I came across many people who either seemed very eager to charge me $100 and up, not available immediately, or we're going to send out one of their representatives at some point. No thanks. I called Harmonious Appliances Servicing, and spoke with Saied the owner and technician. He was professional, reassuring and charged me only $65 for a diagnosis of any issues with my dryer. And this cost would be credited to any work that he would do on the repair. So he showed up 20 minutes later, professional demeanor and did what he said he would. He quoted me on the work and part needed (and he saved me another $60 solution for avoiding another part that was not necessary at all, but he could have easily have not mentioned it). He came the next day like he said he would, fixed it promptly and we're all good. Ok if you have a appliance issue, Saeid is the guy to call, professional, on time, and fair. I am very particular when it comes to getting things done and do not impress easily, especially with trades. Saeid impressed me. He is knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. He does what he says, explains things simply and concise, and charges a fair price. Prior to calling him I had phoned some other qualified technicians as a result of reviews I had read. They either took a couple of days getting back to me or could not make it out within a reasonable time period. When I called Saeid, he picked up on the first call, took my details and said he would call me back at a specific time for a next day call out. He called me back at 8:30pm with specifics. The next day he showed up on time, diagnosed the issue with both my fridge and washing machine and fixed them both faster than what I thought it would take. He then told me what to look for should there be follow up issues, and ensure I called him if anything was out of the ordinary. The oven on our Samsung stove crapped out just five days before Christmas which, as you can imagine, threw us into a bit of a panic. I contacted all the major repair services but either they didn't do Samsung, didn't do gas stoves or just didn't have the time. On reading the glowing reviews of Harmonious I gave them a call and Saeid, responding to our difficult situation, was able to come out the following day to perform a diagnostic. Unfortunately the motherboard was fried and a replacement would take10 weeks to be delivered from Korea so, as this was no help to us, we decided to bite the bullet and buy a new stove. Fortunately we were able to get it delivered on the morning of Christmas Eve and Saeid came out twice, once early in the morning to disconnect the old stove and then again in the afternoon to hook up the new one. This kind of service is over and above the call of duty and extremely rare these days. I would recommend Harmonious and Saeid in particular to anyone who wants responsive and efficient service. I needed to install a new stacked HE washer and dryer that included figuring out how to side vent the dryer air (rather than from the back) because of the limited space in my laundry closet. I contacted Saied and he indicated he could help. He was upfront in explaining the tasks and costs involved. We arranged a suitable time for the day after. Saied arrived as agreed and had my washer/dryer up and running within the hour. He explained everything he was doing in detail and was efficient in his work. Based on his advice, we actually didn't need to side vent the dryer air (which saved some cost) because we were going to use a more flexible air duct than before (which I didn't know anything about). He tested the machines to confirm that they were in good working order and offered some tips on maintaining their longevity, which I appreciated. Saeid was amazing from the get go. He was extremely patient and generous with his time on the phone with me helping troubleshoot why my Samsung washer stopped spinning & draining. It was about my washer and not about him getting the job. Saeid quoted me fairly and honestly after I made a point of asking because his priority was on the solution not the "job". We had several conversations over the phone and he patiently walked me through various tests to isolate the breakdown. Even when it looked like the control board ($323 for the part alone from Samsung) was the culprit and we wouldn't be hiring him to fix it, Saeid continued to give his time on the phone to help us. Our fridge stopped working just before we were going away on a trip. I picked up the part (when I was totally jet lagged) and the company did not send me the correct part. The part was a final sale (however Saeid managed to help me get reimbursed for the part). Saeid went out of his way to go and pick up another part that worked. He came a day later (on a holiday) at 7:30am to install the part even though he had had a late night and it was a holiday. He fixed our fridge and was one of the most professional repair man I have ever met! He really REALLY went out of his way for us and beyond the call of duty! I cannot begin to recommend him enough. I needed my oven fixed and was in a bit of a hurry. I spoke to Saeid and he arrived at my house within the hour. He fixed my stove within 15 minutes. He then stayed at my request to make sure it would work all the way up to heating of over 400deg. I was concerned that it would break the second he walked out but he made sure it was working perfectly well and was quick about it. He was professional, courteous and quick. I would use his services again in a heartbeat. My only suggestion is be ready with cash or cheque because he doesn't have a machine for debit or credit cards. I didn't have cash and no one still uses cheques so I had to run out to the ATM. This would be the only thing I would recommend for him to improve on- the quality of his work was great. read more

It has been a long time since I have come across someone like Saied at Harmonious; honest, calm, principled. Our Maytag washer quit and keep flashing codes that indicated a problem with the drainage. I called Saied after 5pm on a Friday night. He asked me to run a cycle and listen and call him back. I did so and he suggested I try some troubleshooting tips. He offered to look up the model number and provide a quote for repair based on my specific unit and the parts needed, as a worst case scenario. As it turns out, he was able to walk me through the process to find a source of the problem- a blocked propeller pump. Four loads of laundry later, I'm a very happy camper! We happily give Saied 5 stars, yet we have never met him. Our fridge was not working properly (freezer working, fridge not), so we called a highly rated repairman, but he was not interested in knowing the model or the problem, or what we had tested/ diagnosed so far, so we called Saied instead. Saied listened patiently to the symptoms and the results of our own efforts at diagnosis and repair, and understood our problems. He said it seems you guys can do this yourself, just replace the thermostat. He said he will help us if we encounter any further problems. We did as he instructed (fingers crossed). Saeid clearly knew what he was doing. He replied to my message within minutes, asked me to text the make, model, and serial number of the problematic gas stove, and made an appointment to meet two hours later at the recently purchased condo. After a quick confirmation of my observations, he ID one igniter as defective, another as weak, and commented that when one of the burners was "OFF" it was leaking gas. Saeid started right into some disassembly, pulled out the two bad igniters, said he had new ones in his truck, and less than an hour later showed me that everything was working right! After giving him the particulars regarding a malfunctioning Whirlpool electric oven including the error code that was displayed in the temperature screen, Saeid researched the problem in advance, thus saving me the diagnostics charge of $120. He was able to give me an estimate on the cost of the parts, labour and taxes enabling me to make the decision that the repair on an older stove was not worth the cost. The process went very smoothly. I spoke to Saeid at 8:30 a.m. and he gathered the information about the appliance and the problem. He explained the fees, gave me a time window when he would attend later that morning, and advised that he would call when he was heading over. He did call later and he arrived before the time window. He quickly figured out the problem with the stove and ascertained he did not have the replacement part. He called to locate the part and returned with it in 30 minutes. He installed the new part, checked to see that the stove worked with the new part, and gave me some useful advice about the stove. I contacted Saied after two weeks of failed attempts to get service from other companies to come and fix my dryer. Saied asked me to text him the model make and number and to describe the problem. He troubleshooted the problem through text and asked me if I had tried flipping the breaker switch. I did try but he told me to flip it back and forth a few times. It worked. Saied saved me at least $100 for somebody to come check the problem, and maybe more if the company wanted to be dishonest (I wouldn't really know either way!) This is the same review as I have left on other platforms, but wanted to cover all bases as Saied is great! When I bought my place, it had all these fancy appliances in it... including an LG washer/dryer pair with a computer interface. The washer started throwing up an error code and I was thinking, "oh no.....". Saied figured out what the likely cause was without even seeing the machine, ordered a part, and gave me a 30 minute heads-up for when he was heading to my place.
