I discovered Five Star Nail Salon after Covid hit. I've been going ever since. The staff is super nice & the salon is always clean. Tommy is always making sure he acknowledges you when you walk in (that's super important to me) . I've gotten an array of services from eye brow wax to pedicures to acrylics. I've never had a problem with my nails. I'm not getting dip and I like it so much better. When you come , they always take their time no matter how packed the salon is and that's what keeps me coming back. It's nothing like having a pamper day when the pamper is left out because you're getting rushed. This doesn't happen here. Great service every time, and if there is a problem, Tommy will definitely fix it. He will even push your crying baby around the salon in the stroller or feed them so you can have that pamper time to yourself. It's my favorite place.

This is my go-to place. They do a good job and I enjoy their location and atmosphere. I get basic gel French manicure and pedicures but I see a lot of girls getting acrylics with some designs. The rare times I have complex design requests, I go with a specific person but generally everyone is good and friendly. My gel usually lasts 4-6 weeks without much issues

Since moving to the area from California, Five Star Nail Salon has become my go-to spot, and I'm really happy I found them. One of the biggest perks here is that there's never really a long wait, which is fantastic when you're looking for efficient service. The salon itself is pretty clean, which always makes for a more comfortable experience. Most of the technicians are quite skilled, but I have to give a special shout-out to Trinity! For DIP nails, especially for special occasions, Trinity is my absolute favorite. She truly takes her time, but is efficient while ensuring every detail is perfect, and the results are consistently amazing. If you're in search of a nail salon that offers quick, reliable service with generally good results, I'd definitely recommend giving Five Star Nails a try!

Linda literally ruined all other nail techs for me. Two years later, no one else is touching my nails again. I even moved far, far away and now I'm basically in a long-distance relationship with my nail tech. Zero regrets. Just barely-there pink on nails that could still slash tires. She's patient (saint-level, truly) and always lands the perfect pedi color, even when I'm no help at all. Bonus? Stories about Leo, her fluffy little criminal pup, constantly stealing food from his poor brother Tofu. Highly recommended by me. And Leo.

Look for Bryan he was kind and care for his client he didn't rush me but the owner seems he only care about speed cause many people are coming in . I wanted a certain red and my tech was kind enough to try to find the red but owner spoke in another language and just probably said to her to just stick to that color the thing is if your nice you don't get treated well they think it's weakness but Bryan and tech who did my pedi seems good people it's always the high rank who really just care about numbers. Thank you Bryan for taking the time to find the red I want and that made me special on my birthday. 5 star cause for Bryan and pedi tech

Love the atmosphere and expertise at Five Star Nails and Spa. Walk ins are acceptable but I always make an appointment for my gel nail manicure and polish pedicure. This allows me to request the same nail technician. This helps with consistency and understanding my usual expectations without repetition. Bringing a photo of nail art can be reproduced exactly. Even tho a 20 minute drive for me, it is worth the time, price, and amiable establishment rather than many nail places nearby that I have tried.

Poor customer service. Went in for the first time for a gel polish removal and manicure. Owner flippantly directed me to sign in but didn't tell me it was electronic on a kiosk. Directed me to pick out polish but didn't tell me where or that I needed to walk through the salon to the back of the room. After picking out my polish he vaguely pointed in the general direction of a waiting table and when I failed to identify which table, and after walking up to two other chairs, he condescendingly told me that I had finally identified the right one...in front of the entire salon. I stayed when I should've left and received an average, at best, manicure. Not worth it and won't be returning. read more

I just moved to Phoenix and from a recommendation, I decided to try this spa in search of my new nail home. Tommy did a full acrylic set and did not disappoint. The salon is clean, beautiful inside, and they were busy at 1pm on a Tuesday! I'm giving 5 stars for a Five Star spa. I will absolutely be back. read more

Looked at the reviews on yelp and thought this place look promising. Lucky, this place was more than promising. I walked in and waited about 10 minutes until I was seated and taken care of by Kim. She was so warm and friendly and did exactly what I wanted in a timely manner and for a good price! It's rare that I leave a new nail place even somewhat satisfied but I was so happy after I left! it's a large salon but very well-managed, I plan to go here in the future and recommend it! read more

Came in on Saturday & acrylics popping off by Monday. Not even 48 hours later... I could have called that- considering, the tech told me to wash my hands, then would rub her finders over my nailbed (it's like, okay now my nails are oily again & you're laying acrylic on top of the oil). Also, during check out I was charged $3 more and , when questioned I was told just to let that be the tip (idk if this was an honest mistake, as I was being constantly told to upgrade every 5 minutes while getting my nails done). Seriously frustrated that I have to take time out of my week to fix this issue. I called they said to come in within a week to get it done. I'm giving 2 stars because of the shape. read more

Still a 5 star review for Five Star Nails!!!! I've been coming here for years and have never walked out disappointed! Tommy is a rockstar and so talented. I have had my nails done by others here also and have always had amazing results. The pedicures are the best I've ever had. The salon is CLEAN and everyone there is so nice. Don't go anywhere else. They take walk ins but I highly recommend to make an appointment because they are always busy...because they are the best! read more

I love this nail salon! Highly recommend! They are very welcoming and great nail technicians. I love Tracy she is so sweet and is very accommodating. Finally found a nail salon in Phoenix I like. I can't wear regular nail polish and don't get my nails done often because I live a non-toxic lifestyle. I don't use toxic beauty products. I usually don't have anything on my nails other than special occasions. I've found a couple vegan, breathable, and free of 13 ton chemicals nail polishes. My favorite is orly brand. It lasts so long and it's a safer/less toxic nail polish. Five star Nail salon has a huge variety of Orly nail polishes which I was so surprised about. They also were super nice and got me in very quickly. The person who did my nails was so good. I usually get cuts or walk out do salons not being super happy. But they did amazing!! I don't have super pretty nails and fingers but they were super gentle and clean. read more

I had a great pedicure experience here today. Jennie did a meticulous job.of painting my toes bright red for the holidays. Her massage was strong and she didn't skimp on on time. The salon is bright and clean. The pedicure chairs are in good condition and massage worked great. The receptionist was friendly and introduced me to Jennie, a nice touch. My appointment time was honored within 5 minutes. Overall very pleased! Let see how their topcoat holds up! read more

Bryan is my go-to guy for my SNS dip!!! I usually stick with boring, plain, dark colors and won't stray away from blacks and greys. He is holding me accountable to start doing brighter and better colors and venturing out of my comfort zone :) Bryan is quick, efficient, does an amazing job at what he does! This salon is always clean, welcoming, and I am so glad I live near there! Even if I didn't I would likely still be commuting to this place for my nails! read more

Absolutely love this place! Tommy always does a great job on my nails, he's fast with acrylic but leaves them beautiful and makes sure you like them. I brought my mom here for the first time today and she loved her nails. She got French SNS dip powder and absolutely loved them, she unfortunately forgot to get her lady's name. Would recommend to anyone looking to get beautiful nails! Great COVID safety measures too! read more

Well.. I went to visit this place for the first time today and it was far from a "five star" salon . The gentleman who greets you does a horrible job at keeping things organized he asked me to wait in the pedicure chair. I waited for over 15 min without water . He finally came to open the water and walked away . The plastic came undone and the nice lady who was servicing someone else tried to help me and put it back but couldn't because she had gloves on . It had been now 20-25 minutes . I am glad I didn't get serviced here because the place looks FILTHY. They have the dirtiest glass between the Client and the nail tech . Overall horrible service and dirty place . read more

Went in for a pedicure and had a great experience. Great covid protocols seem to be in place with barriers between customers and staff and a dedicated person who is wiping down everything between appointments. I upgraded my pedicure and don't regret it. I don't have my nails done very often so I like to splurge when I do. The prices are reasonable to me and the staff was very friendly. read more

Have been going here for years and have always had GREAT service and magnificent results A great many years ago I had a salon and nails were just surfacing. The odor was a bit off putting as we actually used dental materials but no more. Tommy has always created exactly what I wanted and been very helpful in doing what is most flattering for my nails and hands. My pedicures have lasted for weeks which is terrific as I travel a great deal. If you want great Service and results make an appointment today. I have! read more

This place is not clean. The dust on the walls alone is insane. The stations are not cleaned wiped down (including the clear barriers right in front of you. You cannot expect the same quality of manicure every time you go. They are always rushed (not in a good way). You can get the same manicure 5x and The procedure is never the same. I tried to go many times and give them the benefit of the doubt but please dont waste your time or money. read more

The staff here are seriously so sweet. I drive 20 minutes just to come to this specific salon for that reason. They have shields in front of eat station and seem to be really on top of things as far as COVID goes. You take your temperature before being serviced and everyone (staff and customers) wear a mask. I would recommend this place, especially for pedicures because they really take their time and are so attentive. They take pride in what they do and it shows. read more

I came here during the first couple weeks of businesses reopening after being closed due to Covid-19. I called ahead to schedule an appointment, so that I wouldn't have to wait in their front area. I arrived at my appointment time, but ended up waiting over 30 minutes to still be seen. They did apologize for the wait, but I was also disappointed that they sat me next to strangers, instead of skipping a chair for my pedicure. We were only a few feet away from one another. The staff was friendly and my pedicure looked great! I'll try them again at another time, but hopefully they improve their policy on keeping a certain amount of people in their salon and keeping separate parties 6 feet from one another. read more

The price was pretty good here, but I was really concerned about the lack of cleanliness! My nail technician didn't use sterilized tools and she said that she has to buy all of her own equipment! Her station had nail dust all over it and she was reusing a dirty nail file and buffer! The buffer was falling apart! I will not be going back for fear of getting an infection! read more

This five star is for Brenda!! She's the absolute best!!! I really like this nail salon, I honestly always have a positive experience. But tonight was the best service I've ever had and it's all thanks to Brenda for making it fun for me and two of my guy friends. This is the best my nails have looked. I waited a while to write this review because I Always wait until the 3rd appointment to see if a nail salon is going to continue to impress me. I definitely can say that they have. All of the staff is kind and welcoming. I am always greeted regardless of how busy it is, which is almost all the time. I originally came because of a friends recommendation. I love getting the Ombre pink and white because it is both professional for my job and school. My nails always receive compliments and I don't feel like my nails are completely destroyed after I take them off either. read more

I was contacted by the manager and asked me to come in and have them fix it. I went in and he redid my acrylic nails and someone else re-did my pedicure. He kept asking me who did my pedicure the first time to get the money back from her.. The polish from the pedicure is uneven again and doesn't look much better. Once I finished I went up to him to let him know I was finished and he just dismissed me I said bye and walked out. Not sure we will return after this. read more

I never go to the salon by myself because I feel intimidated. I've only had a pedicure 4 times in my whole life. I had a bad day and wanted to treat myself. This place was just what I needed. The pedicure was wonderful. Rose worked extremely hard to remove my calluses (they were embarrassingly bad!!!) and I got a wonderful gel manicure. When I told him he was hurting me, he actually tested the grinder on himself as if he didn't believe me, then put it right back on my finger. I repeatedly told him that he was cutting my cuticles and causing pain. It wasn't until he saw the blood on my fingers that he finally apologized. The fact that he initially dismissed my concerns and acted as though I was exaggerating is absolutely unacceptable. The quality of the gel manicure was terrible. The shine wore off after about a day, and the gel was not applied smoothly, leaving my nails bumpy and uneven. They looked poorly done from the start. As for my toes, the polish lasted only about four hours before it started chipping and peeling off. I've attached photos showing the damage. To make matters worse, my mom received a manicure and pedicure during the same visit and experienced similar issues. Her nails began chipping within 24 hours, and I've attached photos of her nails as well. This salon is very expensive, yet the quality of service and workmanship was far below acceptable standards! Between being cut multiple times, having my concerns ignored, and receiving nail services that started failing almost immediately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Stay away!

They were horrible they gave to a girl. I just needed a fill and i get fills pretty often so i know how they should look. She gets done and i got home and my mom looked at my nails and there were probably thicker than a penny for $40 i payed. So i go back and tell them they need to file it down. The managers 13 year old kid was running it all and we told him that we need it filed down and he gave us back to the girl that did this horrible job so she's just filing under and she says okay your done now. They are still a bubble on the top of it she just filed under and not on top and repainted like any other nail tech would to make it less think. So we get the manager and he's justifying her work saying it's because it's a fill and because there's gel on top. I asked for just acrylic with no gel and they said " we don't do that" so we left after they said they couldn't do any more. read more
