I usually would never post a negative review but this service was really upsetting. Let me list what happened: first off, made an appointment for 2pm, didn't get seated until til 2:45, and it took 2 more hours to do this french tip set. Next, she didn't shape them in any way or ask how I wanted the shape, she didn't put a tip on 3 of my nails until I brought it up and she got audibly upset that I brought it up late (when I mentioned on the phone I needed tips) I didn't think she was really gonna let me walk out with 3 nails all different lengths but ig she was. And even after that my nails weren't the same length.. The French tips were different levels of thickness and messy on some, she used silver chrome on my right hand and noticed it wasn't right, attempted to wipe it off and go over it, but it just left a line of silver on each finger on my right hand. And then she ended up putting a full acrylic nail on 3 fingers instead of just a tip, which now affects all my other sets bc the nail is clear and polish doesn't sit well on top of it. Overall I was just upset with the way she handled the situation and i didn't want to speak up about anything else so I just went home and cried read more

Actually the worst nail experience I have had, and I get my nails done very regularly. My sister and I had an appointment at 3 and were not seated until 3:45. Once they started my nails, my tech was running around doing 5 other clients at the same time. Im writing this review with my nails not even halfway done while my tech is starting a NEW client. I would have rather been told they were overbooked, this is absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, everyone here is in a bad mood because they have been waiting so long and the general vibe is very negative. I would not recommend this place ever, Grand Nails Lounge nearby is MUCH better, I only came here because they were full. I understand they are busy, but they should communicate that- it is okay to turn down clients. Update: A new tech came over and helped fix my nails and completed my service after waiting 20 minutes for the original tech. He did great, as well as the tech who did my sister. Overall, this seems to be a management issue and I would recommend a change in management. read more

I came in at 10 am and there was nobody in the salon but the lady by the name of Nisa. I asked her for the price to do gel nails and removal of my old nail gel. She quoted me $37, which included $6 for the removal. However, she only filed the old gel and put new gel over the old ones. I googled it and found out that 'It is completely necessary to fully remove gel before another application. Gel polish should never be worn longer than 2-3 weeks and removed if it starts to lift. Gel polish like any nail product, can trap water and other creepy crawlies under it, when it lifts. and cause a risk of fungal infections. So it is necessary to remove entirely.' I also noticed that the nails were rough to the touch. I had to file them when I got home. She seemed to be in a hurry, much more after her first customer came in for a pedicure.' I had a great time with good conversation from the woman who did my cheetah w/ matte black and one glittery nail nails. It was definitely more expensive than the other salon I'd been going to, but they use all nice clear nails- and they stayed on forever! Most of the time my nails seem to break or fall off (at least one) within the first week because I am so hard on them, but not these! I keep planning on going back, but I'm so busy right now. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this place- but I did spend about 80 just for gel nails with a beautiful hand painted, custom design. The staff are also attentive and want to make sure you are having a nice experience. I get that not every nail spa is going to offer a $20 pedicure special. A lot of times you get what you pay for....$18 and we will throw in the fungus nightmare for free, and such. However, when I pay $37 for a basic pedicure, I expect complete relaxation, nice toe nails, and satisfaction. I don't get these more than once or twice a year right now, so getting that good service is so critical - I only do this when I absolutely need a pick me up. I did not get that. What I got? A nail technician who was more concerned about what was on Channel 12 news than the service he was supposed to perform for me. He spent every second that he wasn't using sharp instruments or polish on me staring at the TV. During the typical leg massage portion, I am pretty sure my foot could have started on fire and he would not have noticed. He even missed massaging half of one leg and half of the other legs foot. He would grab at my feet in the air and miss a few times. Then came the hot towel finish. It sounds awesome...until you see the towels. You know those towels which are so disgustingly old and tattered you even feel embarrassed keeping them around for cleaning rags? Well, they were white, but each had about 12-15 holes in it. For the amount of money I spent, I expected better service. This guy obviously doesn't give a damn about his job or his customers and it didn't seem like anyone else in here was any more enthusiastic. I will not be returning. I am actually so upset that I am typing this review while I wait for my toenails to dry....while he is watching the tv and ignoring me. My nails don't even look any better than I can do. read more

I asked if they do waxing. They said yes and invited me back. While waxing my face, the lady decided it was okay to start shaving it as well. Yes, you are reading correctly. She took a flat eyebrow razor tool and shaved where my face connects to my neck. I was so shocked and in disbelief that asked her "Are you shaving my face?" To which she responded with "Yes. you have small baby hairs that the wax couldn't grab" I told her this was not okay, and the whole reason for a wax is to not shave. I am still super angry that this happened to me. I had gotten up and started to leave. She told me she wasn't done yet. She told to pay $20, and I am not the type to argue and cause a scene I'd rather leave review and let people know. I paid the $20 and left. Using a razor, that she probably used on others before me without sanitizing. If i wanted to shave my face I wouldn't be there for a wax. This lady cannot and should not be doing this job. The absolute worst nail salon I have ever had the unfortunate luck of experiencing. I thought I would give this place a try because it is close-by. I went it, showed them my nails, told them what I wanted and asked for the price up-front. Ok, we are good to go..... Well, as I walk through the various stations on my way back to where my technician sits, I notice abandoned food bowls with noodles in them, chopsticks still stuck in the food, and flies buzzing around the rims. This was beyond disgusting, and I knew I had made a mistake. The place was also "abuzz" with the staff chomping and popping their gum, and singing and yowling their conversations across the salon. The manicure was not the best and not the worst I've ever had. The tech asked me a lot of nosy questions, like if I have a boyfriend. When I got up to the front desk to pay, I was given a higher price than I was quoted when I came in the door. She said, "Because you have long nail." I paid the price, but left no tip and told her why. She didn't seem to care, and I will never be back. read more

Updating my review. 2 stars ONLY because they give a decent leg/arm massage. My manicure was messed up immediately after I left. After it being under the light for 7 minutes AT LEAST. Should've been dry by then! My cuticles look disgusting. They don't even look this bad without a manicure. I took my mom here for her birthday, and while the service was fast, the quality is absolute shit. I'll never go here again. And will make sure none of my friends or family do. New info- it's been 2 years since my original review and since then they have changed owners. I never had any issue with the other owners but the new owners have spruced up the place. There are brand new pedicure chairs. They are quieter and really nice. WOW. I know they were expensive. They also massage you like the old ones did. I have been going here for pedicures for several years. I don't have regular person but no matter who does the pedi I get a very consistent result. I usually never have to wait. There are only 2 techs at this place that do sns. Joyce is pretty good and very friendly. The other tech/scheduling manager is rude, and terrible with people. She also charges extra for replacing tips on an sns refill when a full set costs the same AND they're way over priced.
