Decided to get my car wash and Five Towns Hand Car wash was the closet location for a car wash. It is literally the name "hand wash" they hand wash your car as soon as it enters the belt. There are two employees soaping and sponging the car down inside. Based on your selections they will soak the mats, vacuumed inside and the trunk of your car. It was great service for $32. I paid $29 for the super wash. The sign says it includes tire shine etc however none of that was done. It was a basic exterior wash with nothing more. If I only wanted the exterior was I would have opted for the $22 package. The staff however was very courteous so I have no complaints there. The car wash is great and the staffs do an excellent job. Although they a little high and even just a regular outside wash of your car would cost you over $25 including taxes. Was very disappointed today though - on the receipt it says $33.08 but when i got to the cashier she said $34 and some change and I asked why the different in price and she said the cost of using my bank card. When I was on the phone they told me the lot closes at 5:55 even though Apple Maps was telling me 7pm. I asked on the phone if they could wait 1 minute until 5:56 and they said that 5:55 was the cutoff. I pulled into the lot at 5:53pm (before 5:55) and they were shooing me away to get out of the lot. I told them the lady on the phone said I could get there before 5:55 and I'd be good but they told me that a car just came in and they're not doing any more for the day. As usual, my vehicle was pristine. As I drove away, I routinely look for water to shoot out from the side view mirrors, causing water stains on my window. This has NEVER happened. The owner of this establishment is rude, unprofessional, and has absolutely no customer service skills!! My mother's handicapped plaque was missing from her car after the car wash so I called to inquire whether it was found. Best around here that I have found. Sometimes off with estimated wait times for extra services such as per hair removal. I take two cars here regularly they do a decent job on the cheaper wash packages. I have had my truck detailed here. Excellent job but it is not something you want to wait on Bc it takes time. I went there for a detailing job due to some water that was spilled on the carpet. The stain was dark because of the water and dirt combined when I stepped on it while driving. The Boss or owner was telling me that it was oil and grease, which I told him that it was not, because I took the car to a mechanic already to check it. He became very defensive and rude towards me, and speaking to me in a condescending way as if I did not know what I was talking about. I wish I had read the reviews before I decided to Plop down $20.25 for a basic wash and Vac. When you think "hand Car wash" you are thinking thorough cleaning with attention to details. While the staff is very friendly and polite. Their attention to detail is severely lacking. With the amount of guys they have employed you would think that wouldn't have to point out that the edges of the wheel wells have not been wiped or washed for that matter. I also had to point out that an area of my hatch had been left dirty after supposedly being hand washed. The owner of the place had to come over and tell them to wipe the roof down.instead of having 5-6 guys converge on your car to towel it off the should have those-guys at the washing stage to do a better job of washing, not drying a crappy wash job. Paid $30 for Platinum package which was supposed to include interior vacuum, but the owner will tell you its for very basic light vacuuming. Unacceptable excuse, I can still SEE the dirt MOVE around the car. If it was vacuumed it would be gone. Yes theres a difference between build up and light debris. It's obvious it was light debris as I picked up the hair and showed the owner it was not stuck to the rug, a simple vacuum could have picked it up. I left, but drove back to question my receipt, I was still unhappy questioning what I paid for and the owner had the team re-vacuum the car. Appreciated, but I was basically told oh well the first time I spoke to the owner because I didn't want to pay $20 dollars more for a package that includes vacuum & thats not cool. If anything below platinum does not include REAL vacuuming (removing the dirt instead of moving it around) stop letting your customers believe so and charge for vacuuming separate so customers see where their money is going.
