    Excellent customer service!! They checked in at least 3 times to give me updates on the repair. The staff was friendly and very professional They checked the hardware, cleared the error codes that were maybe making the error Message pop up and performed an updated calibration. Hopefully this will fix the automatic lighting and wiper errors.

    Windshield replaced on our car. Understood that we'd drop it off and it might not be ready until 5pm. However, as of 3:30pm my security cameras showed the car had not been moved/worked on. We were on a road trip and had to continue our trip the following morning, so was getting very concerned that they might not get to it or forgot since the more than 1ft crack suddenly appeared in the morning. Their number is listed as an 800 number, and it was very painful / a lot of time on the phone to finally get connected with the local shop (horrible process) to confirm they were still planning on doing it. They did eventually get it done. We drove at night so it wasn't until the next morning and hundreds of miles away that we saw that the glass has a blueish/grey haze and is not as clear as our other windows (which all have after-market tinting; even so, it's very noticeable that the new glass is not as clear). Washing the car / exterior of the glass made no difference, and wiping the inside of the glass didn't make any difference either. If it doesn't somehow clear up in the next few days, I'll get to experience what their nationwide warranty support looks like. I also was never given a total price; my insurance has windshield replacement coverage with a $500 deductible so that's what I was quoted/paid. I assumed Safelite would be cheaper than the manufacturer (Tesla) but I've since learned that Tesla actually may be cheaper due to their ability to do the camera-calibration very quickly (which is actually something a tech-savvy owner can do themselves very quickly). If my insurance rates go up because of this, I'm going to be a very unhappy customer.

    I scheduled and came to Safelite for a 2:30 pm appointment right after a rock chipped my windshield, the receptionist told me it would be $75 out of pocket, i filed a claim with my insurance company in the office which took maybe 5-10 mins, i told him this and he told me to reschedule and come back in 2 days in the morning. So i came back again (at this point the chip became large cracks!) just to be told the glass they had was out of stock and i would have to reschedule again in 2 days! They asked me to come back again but i asked if they can just come to my car to replace it and they scheduled it. Out of frustration I decided to cancel and go with another company.

Before giving the details of my visit, I'd like to provide 1 paragraph of context first. In October of last year, I purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Four days later, I got a crack over the A-pillar of my windshield that spread and required a new windshield. Because the vehicle was so new, I could only replace the windshield at Hyundai. It took me 6 weeks, more than 40 phone calls and 3 in-person visits to 4 Hyundai dealers to get it replaced. The part WAS available, but Hyundai's service departments no longer answer their phones with people. It was a horrible, frustrating experience. So when I got a ship in the replacement windshield less than 7 months later, I was terrified of needing to go back to Hyundai. I immediately called a few glass shops about crack repairs. I didn't mention I had insurance, because I wanted to see who would be the fairest priced. Sam offered me both the best price, and the best response over the phone "I'll try to save your windshield." The chip was not in a great location (just over the dashboard) and the crack had already begun to spread, so it was a tough repair. When I arrived, Sam took time to explain the process to me, as well as any possible risks. He didn't obligate me to proceed, he gave me the option to do so with full disclosure. He mentioned that some people don't like this approach - they would prefer to just be told "everything will be OK." I understand that, but I will say that personally I MUCH prefer being given the accurate information and then having the opportunity to make my own decision with no pressure. Obviously, I proceeded with the repair despite the risks, since NOT doing the repair would have just guaranteed that I needed a replacement. When the repair was complete, it looked great. The crack was barely visible (an unexpected but happy outcome for me), and it has now held for over a week of driving. It is clear to me that Sam takes pride in performing great service, at a fair price, to fully informed customers. I don't know what more you could ever ask for!
