It was really easy to work with them through my insurance claim. The repairs looked great and were completed ahead of schedule.

If you are looking for a place to have body work done on your vehicle (insurance claim or out of pocket), I highly recommend Fix Auto. We had to get some insurance claim work done on our 2013 CRV because on a very windy night, a gate from a business blew open as my daughter was driving by and broke her headlight and put a really nasty gouge in the fender, so she reported to to our insurance company and as soon as she was able, took it to Fix Auto in Crystal Lake. When the claim was approved, my daughter had some issues getting the vehicle in to Fix Auto due to her job and school (Master's program), but Fix Auto was very patient and understanding. When the vehicle finally got in there, they went right to work and did a great, great job!! My daughter was extremely pleased!! She said it looks great!!!!! It's a done deal for us.....we will be taking our vehicle(s) to FIX AUTO for all our auto body work needs. Additionally....Need a rental while you're vehicle is being repaired.....a rental from Enterprise, Crystal Lake, can be arranged. YES!! It's like a one stop shop!! Tom and his team at Fix Auto are awesome - I get text updates with their program and know exactly what's going on at all times. The Enterprise rental desk conveniently located inside the shop makes it painless to get a car while mine is being worked on. Honest and true pricing that's fair and they do all the insurance work as well. Paint-less dent removal was awesome - as was the new bumper. (Matched the paint perfectly.) Stoped by and Shane the estimator/project manager gave me a price of $150 to paint my fender if I took it off and brought it at the end of the month. Here I am end of the month with the fender in hand and we bring it into the shop. Now he says it will be $388.00. How can it more than double in price. Obviously can't trust them as I told him while walking out. Should have been more honest when I first came in. read more

If it was possible to give them no stars, I would. Our F150 was "totaled" by these people, no explanation. The weird part is I drove it to their place the day before!!!!! NEVER again will I bring any of my vehicles there. Interesting part is my insurance company sent me there...... read more

Fix Auto did the body repair on my car after an accident. They did a great job. Everyone was helpful and courteous. They said it would be done on Friday and it was completed early on Friday. I will go to Fix for all my auto body needs. read more

Of course one year later the part they supposedly fixed is broke again and it's not covered under any warranty. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!!

Wish I could give no star!!! Worst repair experience ever, and Tom wouldn't even come out of his office the 2nd time to address the issue, just made all his minions do his dirty work. Car in for a bumper repair. 2 weeks to complete and at the end, still looks bad. 1. Bumper ordered wrong or shipped wrong or came in damaged, depending on who you ask. 2. First fix had big blob in the paint. Shop said they could buff it out. I said do it right the first time and you wouldn't have to do rework. 3. Front end noise, thy took it to Casey, who said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I said check again, they found a bad wheel bearing. 4. Bumper is done, again. I go inspect and it is the wrong color! They refuse to repaint. Car is going to a reputable shop next week to get fixed correctly. Insurance is backing up the rework at a different shop. Bottom line, shop is very unprofessional and Tom has no spine. read more

This business would get 0 stars if possible. They used to be reputable, but now Tom is all about the money without the service to the customer. Tom's attitude sounds all nicey nice at first, but once you call him out on doing something wrong, look out. He turns into a real butt hole, and tries to keep your vehicle. He also tries to buy parts he "thinks" are good enough, when you have been lead to believe you are getting OE from the dealer, since that was the agreement, and what you paid for, but actually he installs after market crap from China. Watch for parts purchased not even being installed as well. Body panels don't line up when their work is complete, either. A blind person could do better than they do. He doesn't even test drive the vehicles when they are done! If they were in a crash, you need to verify that they drive properly. He must be used to working with customers that cannot tell the difference, but being experienced in the automotive field, I can rightfully tell you that this business is a fraud, and my advice is for you to steer very clear of them, otherwise you will wish you had. This is one of the shops that gives the bad name to all of them. read more
