Horrific experience. I understand that many businesses have chosen not to reopen, but that does not provide an excuse for poor service for those that have. After just under 2 hours of waiting after appt time (45 minutes in the chair without getting started), my mothet provided a brief overview of "touch up color to cover grey and provide a few face framing highlights" to the stylist. Minimal feedback and certainly no consultation as mentioned on their website. 4 hours and $335 later (no cut or style, just color) my mother left with this two toned hair color! At 60+ years old - this is certainly not the look she was going for. After contacting the owner to speak about both the wait and the poor delivery, I received this response. "We are working with 3 stylists right now and are honestly doing the best that we can. All 3 are completely overwhelmed. The others are being paid by the government to stay home. I hope that you can find a new salon that is not overwhelmed right now. If they are not, I would love to know their secret." Worst haircut experience of my life. I am an exclusive Aveda salon devotee but I won't ever go back to this one as it's no where close to the quality Aveda experience. Arrived 5 minutes early. Kept waiting 45 minutes while my stylist cut a young man's hair in my time spot. No explanation or apologies from anyone. Booked a master stylist cut with 75 minutes reserved. We discussed my cut - a Simple long bob - basically a large trim from what I had. 2 inches off with light layers. Then she went to work doing weird techniques I've never experienced in my 50 years. TERRIBLE haircut. Awful, aggressive styling. She was in a big hurry trying to squeeze another customer in between me & her next booking as well. She completely ignored what we discussed. Said it was crooked because she must've cut it parted in the middle instead of the side even though she asked twice where I parted. Long random pieces left. My hair is so uneven I have to try to remedy it myself after spending $63. Master stylist? I don't think so. Very unprofessional staff and uncomfortable experience. My second time here. I decided to come here for a balayage because I loved my haircut from back in January. I am super disappointed this time around. The whole process took roughly 4 hrs (but I have a ton of hair so no complaint there). The girl (senior stylist) who did my hair offered a conditioner treatment, which I agreed to because my hair would have gone through quite a bit of highlighting. Long story short, I should not have gone for it because it was a waste of money. My hair still feels like hay: super dry & brittle. After toning and blow drying, I went home, looked in the mirror, and my heart (and wallet) sank. The bottom of my hair looked ash blonde and beautiful, but the top half of my hair was still brassy and veeerrryyy spotty (see pictures). I do have a history of ombré, so I wasn't too upset about the brassyness. The spottiness was what bothered me. Needless to say, I promptly called the store and the girl offered to fix my hair the very next day. Went in the next day, the same stylist put the messed up strands in a few foils and rinsed off those strands. I went home, and it was still spotty (again, see pictures). Let's just say I MIGHT only come back for a haircut...and 2 stars only because the stylist gave it a second try. read more

Don't go here. I should of waited for my normal salon to open back up, but I'm impatient and that's always my downfall. I didn't want black hair. I wanted the ashy brown it was growing in...I wanted to go back dark all over and specifically said I didn't want any red in it. My hair doesn't have red in it so why add it? Well I have flat black hair that looks like I used box dye from Walmart. Their solution to fix it was to add a toner. Toners make your hair darker. It's already way to dark.... and my hair doesn't hold toner so I know it'll wash out quick. Even when salon's did toner to my blonde, it washed out within a week. Do not go here if you like your hair. I regret it with everything in me. My husband and grandma both said it looks like shit..... which confirmed how I was feeling. Excellent service! My first time going and I'm a very happy costumer. All the employees were very kind and welcoming. My stylist, apparently I can't say names but I wish I could, was very receptive to what I wanted. The place was clean and it smelled natural, unlike many hair salons that smell like bleach. Most, if not all, the hair products she used on me were of natural ingredients and she informed me of each one. She also made fun light conversation with me. The price of having my chest-long curly hair and undercut cut-fixed, washed, blow-dried and flat-ironed was $55 which I considered totally fair. I really don't like to give negative reviews unless necessary.. I have been here a few times so have given them plenty of opportunities to evaluate them properly. They do a good enough job with the hair cut and the aveena products are nice but I have to give a poor review for the service. Every time I have come, appointments have always been 15-20 min late despite me being the only patron or one of two patrons there. I have had friends who have come for coloring and disliked it, but I get a simple women's cut so it got the job done. This recent visit, I had an appointment for a hair cute and brow wax. The two receptionist told me the stylist was running a little behind and would be with me shortly. 15, 30, 45 minutes go by and no one has said a word to me. There were 5 different employees working there and only one other customer in the store who seemed to know all of the employees personally. Ultimately, I told them I had to leave and I received no apology or attempt to make up for the waste of time. Save your time and try another salon in town. read more

I am a client of Jessica's. I have followed her to two different salons now and for good reason. My natural hair color is dark brown but I now have it bleached to platinum blond. My hair is not easy to upkeep but Jessica has always managed to keep it looking healthy and perfectly platinum. The salon itself is always neat and clean. The customer service is great. I never have any trouble making appointments and I never have to wait. Saw this place one night while I was out with friends at Takko Sushi. Tonight is date night, I thought why not try it out? I made an appointment online the same morning. I have to say I LOVE this feature. I'm not one who likes to talk to a live person. So being able to see multiple options online is a super plus! I arrived 15 mins early but was promptly seen. It was a slow day bc the weather was gross outside. Rainy and gray. Anyways, I was sat in the chair, I showed my girl a pic of what I wanted. Basic loose curls. Then off to the wash bowl I was sent. The wash was great. I love getting my hair washed and she did a great job! I felt really relaxed. Once back in the chair she started. I watched sex in the city in tv with subtitles. I do have one complaint. My head got kinda burned with the blow dryer while she was drying my hair. Just a few times. All in all she did a very good job and it's nice to be able to just get a wash and style when you don't need a hair cut. My visit cost me $28 + tip. Seems pretty competitive in price. I have very curly hair (tight curls), and another salon cut my hair unevenly, so I didn't want to visit any other local salons that swore they "work with curly hair all of the time." However, Zenda really paid attention to what my hair needed and what I wanted, which is to grow my hair longer. Instead of cutting more and more, like the other salon was doing, she suggested a haircare system, so my hair continues to improve long-term not just the short-term treatment that looks good for a few days and then is back to being dry and unruly. I already plan to return to the salon because of Zenda's extensive experience as a hair stylist, especially as a stylist who knows how to do curly hair. read more

If I had the THE OPTION OF NEGATIVE RATINGS IT WOULD BE -4! In order for this review to be public I had to select a star BUT DO KNOW IT WOULD BE -4 if I had the option! My first visit I was scheduled with "new talent" but assured she had 2 years experience and the more experienced "master" stylists would be there and I would never leave unhappy. WRONG! After 3 3/4 hours and no explanation or communication let alone any apology from Corey I was told by the ?manager? Gabby that oh no my hair didn't look green and over processed but you call us after a day or 2 (closed sun and mon) well after not washing it for 48 hours as suggested by Gabby my husband and I were horrified as clumps of hair, white broken pieces from over processed "highlights" I've included photos as proof. I went in for grays on my temples to be covered up and my highlights to be freshened up. Dark blonde hair with lighter blonde highlights. I was all frizzy white on top. No sign of highlights just one big blob with a lovely green tint, again shown in pics. The owner called and asked me to come in to have a master stylist (Kimberlyn) the only person in this whole experience that had any compassion for the issue and did a great job restoring some color to the top of my hair, no more green, still frizzed out but I was giving a treatment to bring home to use for a month. Sadly as seen in the final pic all this and still gray hair close to $200.00 dollars later. They claim to fix other salons errors but cause their own and can't fix them. In the many hours I was there "under repair" haha I saw many blow outs which were lovely so perhaps that is what they should stick to.. read more

I dont understand how these other reviews are so high. I completely wasted my money coming here. I called the morning I had a big interview for a blow out. From the moment I called asking about pricing and the lack of knowledge from the person answering the phone I knew this was going to be a nightmare. Relentlessly after the confusion settled, and I made an appointment to come in that day. Obviously by the name, you would assume that its generally walk-in predominant. When I arrived the three girls working were cackling and carrying on, sitting on the desk and just yapping away. I felt as though I was interrupting them, when in fact a customer should never feel that way walking into a business during business hours. The girl who took me to her chair, I apologize for not referring to her by name, however I was never introduced. I asked that my hair be blown out straight and flat ironed. She then confirmed that I wanted my hair flat ironed. During the blow out i sat in complete silence. I attempted to make small talk, however she was so focused on blowing out my hair and making huge barrel curls she did not speak. She turned the chair around said all done and that was that. No flat iron, no anti frizz spray, nothing. I got up from the chair somewhat confused as I had thought I was pretty specific (which a blow out and flat iron at a blow dry bar should be an easy fete). Anyway, I paid, I tipped, and walked away utterly confused. I looked like a pageant queen, not a professional going to an interview. I was in my suit, it couldnt have been more clear. Love the space, the incredible massage with the shampoo, the fun movie or music, the enthusiastic people and the lemon water or wine (I recommend both!). I always get a ton compliments on my hair when I get it "fixed" too. Both my girls love Fix. We have had their hair fixed for Social and Spring formals. The stylists always make them feel special and pampered. And both girls have loved each style whether an up do, to long and straight or funky braids with a messy bun.
