Brilliant concept for the Java lovers and liquor imbibers alike…read more The interior is luxe by Pensacola standards. Large overstuffed pin cushion leather sofas. Coffered ceilings. Exposed, real old brick that's from god knows when. Lots of copper old fashion coffee roasters. Bespoke bar. I dig the vibe and haven't even tried the patio yet. The Irish latte was delish. The whipped baileys cream on top delightful. My husband had the French 75 which was mildly citrus in such a pleasant way. Zero burn or bitterness for a straight black coffee beverage which impressed me! We had an omelette and the blueberry muffin. Omelette was tasty, fresh, hot and had ample cheese and ham. I liked the Dijon topped on. The muffin was really extra. It was large and it was covered in coffee cake sugar kind of crumble. Really big, generous serving of blueberries. It was super moist. Hate to add to the hype of this place because I admit, theres already a line out the door, but I only just recently discovered it after being here nearly a year. It's a wonderful Find and I'm already planning to make it one of my regular stops.

The copper espresso machines and coffee bean roasting equipment was unique to see while you waited for your order. The barista had great recs and the menu was diverse. We ordered the Maple Brown Sugar Latte that's made with organic maple syrup from Vermont! It wasn't overly sweet which I appreciated. We also ordered a standard latte that was nice. We saw several orders of savory looking crepes come out as we waited- will have to try next time!

This is my favorite place! When I was pregnant, it's all my baby craved (yes... gestational…read morediabetes followed ). When it's been a hard week at work, this is my go-to pick-me-up for coworkers. It gives total "wow factor" vibes when someone tries it for the first time. And now I have one more reason to love Bagelheads -- the service!! I accidentally ordered online for the Davis Hwy location instead of downtown. Before I could even panic or ask what to do, the workers said, "Don't worry, we've got you, girl." Now I'm sitting in my car writing this review because I just love this place and the people inside it so much.

Craving AWEFUL food and even WORSE service, then come to Bagelheads! I swore after seeing the bugs…read moreand dirt that I'd never return, but lo and behold figured I'd give it another try after the "revamp." Spoiler alert...just as bad!!! Bad doesn't even begin to describe this place. Want to see the dumbing down of America on full display...just come here to watch the employees in action. Ever wondered what food service looks like without management...again, have a look here. In a tale as old as time, order was misplaced, food was cold, and no shits by the staff (other than a piss poor attitude) were given. 20 minutes for cold egg bites and a toasted bagel (that wasn't toasted) with butter (not melted), all for only having 2 people order in front of me. Coffee urns are never changed out, and always empty and/or cold. The only this they're able to do consistently well is to turn the iPad around when paying and expect a tip! Save yourself the time, trouble and money...GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! There are too many good eating establishments in this town to continue supporting this miserable, pathetic excuse of an eatery. It used to be great, but has changed for the worse.

Cafe Single Fin: Great Concept, Average Plate…read more Cafe Single Fin is one of those places where the experience starts before you even find the restaurant. I drove around the block several times looking for it. Turns out, the restaurant is tucked inside a surf and skateboard shop. Once I finally figured that out, I walked in and immediately knew this wasn't going to be your average Pensacola lunch. The cafe is basically the centerpiece of the shop, surrounded by some seriously interesting vibes. I was greeted by scream-o music, which eventually segued into coffeehouse music and then some lighter indie stuff. Quite the musical journey. I half expected the playlist to ask me to pick a lane. What drew me in was the menu. Clean, interesting and exactly the kind of thing that makes you think, OK, these people might be onto something. I went with the blackened mahi tacos with rice and beans. And this is where things got a little less interesting. The food was fresh. The presentation was nice. Unfortunately, the flavor never really showed up for work. The mahi was supposed to be blackened, but I'm not convinced the blackening seasoning actually made it from the kitchen to the plate. The beans were also undercooked and under-seasoned. Nothing was bad, exactly. It just lacked the punch that the menu had promised. And that's the frustrating part. There is clearly a cool concept here, and the menu has enough personality to make you expect something memorable. The plate just didn't deliver the same energy as the room. Maybe I'm simply outside the target demographic. There seemed to be a pretty strong twenty-something surf/skate crowd, and perhaps I'm just not fluent in the culinary dialect of that demographic yet. Interesting place. Interesting concept. Interesting vibes. Friendly/helpful staff. Pretty average food.
