I was in town for a wedding. Pensacola also happens to be my home town. And I wanted to find a nice breakfast one day. I hopped online to do some quick research, and found this place. Definitely new since I left home. I was interested. Ambiance was wonderful. A good amount of seating with each sitting spot feelings mildly secluded, which is nice. No one wants their coffee shop gossip being overheard. And when you walk in, you're first greeted with that classic glass case of available pastries and goodies. It was hard to not just order one of each item. Service was nice. It was counter service, and they bring your order right to your table. Can't ask for better service than that. Nice folks, good small talk. And the food, it was delightful. We got a couple of fancy coffee drinks, which were well-flavored, not too sweet, and the iced one was presented in a mason jar. Classic. We also shared like four food items. The pull-apart monkey bread was sweet and dense and delicious. Don't order this if you're alone. You'll need help to finish it. Got a creme filled pull pastry thing. That was nice. Flakes for days. This was no rough puff. For the chocolate croissant, also known as a pain au chocolat. Again, very flakey, very buttery, the perfect touch of sweet chocolate. And a savory, massive scone. Bacon and chives, I think. Also very good. Crumbly. Overall, I was very surprised. There certainly wasn't anywhere like this in Pensacola when I lived here. This place is a quality bakery that could easily be found in a medium-sized city. Pros: Ambiance was great. Pastry everywhere, nice seating area, and the smell of fresh baked bread in the air. Service was very friendly. They brought all that we ordered right to our table. Very nice. And the pastries themselves were very high quality. Flakey, not dry, well filled, of a good size. Definitely a high point. Cons: No real cons. I didn't have enough stomach space to try everything I wanted. Lol. Tips: The chocolate croissant and the creme filled thing we got were delicious. OMG! Everything looked so good! The lattes were so smooth and perfectly blended. The croissant was flaky on the outside but soft on the inside. Please get the Maple Bacon pull apart thingy!! Ordered a specialty Doberge cake for my mom's 75th birthday celebration. Being from out of town and having to drive an hour from Navarre Beach to pick it up I needed the cake to be amazing and guess what?! It was!!!! The whole family loved it and we devoured it in 2 nights. My mom was so impressed we found a place locally (Pensacola) to do it and how delicious it was. Hoping I can get back here before I leave Pensacola. I got the black garlic sourdough baguettes. Delish! Perfect texture. Don't be afraid of the garlic. It's very mild. Get some President butter from Publix (the best!) and eat by the slice as is. Yum! Tried the spicy molasses cookie. I didn't hate it, but it's not really what I expect from a molasses cookie. *LOVE LOVE LOVE * I happened upon this adorable café, nestled in a small plaza on North Davis, just past the Home Depot. Inside, it's a modern, cozy vibe with notable nibbles. And the sweet hostess and staff provide one on one attention, for questions and recommendations. The small menu is done quite well, and I like that! There are freshly baked croissants, scones, cakes-to-order, and various other sweet concoctions. In addition there are savory offerings - in my case, the breakfast pizza and my Aunt opted for the mushroom/ Swiss quiche (not pictured). The toppings for the breakfast pizza are built around a surprisingly light, fluffy foccacia, that was filling, nonetheless. For beverages, you'll see the typical hot and cold coffee/tea offerings, with a few unique to the café, like the Purple Earl Grey tea, for example. Been visiting this place for at least 4 years and it still doesn't disappoint. The coffee was great, staff was great and baked goods were excellent. It was my first visit after seeing numerous recommendations on social media. I was very impressed! We got the Red Sea sourdough and a chocolate croissant. The chocolate croissant was scrumptious. This cafe is 10/10. The staff is always so kind and helpful. The food is mouthwatering amazing. And there are so many cute nooks to sit while enjoying food and a nice book. Stopped by this weekend to grab some drinks and pastries. I ordered a matcha latte with coconut milk, lavender and vanilla. It was alright, the matcha flavor wasn't very strong. Honestly a little disappointed! I have been following Craft Gourmet Bakery on Instagram for awhile now. I've been dying to try some of their treats. I was finally in the area today. We stopped in around 4pm to get some treats to-go. I honestly had no idea what to expect walking in. It appeared they had a few fresh baked treats in their display case. We decided to go with the cinnamon roll and the cinnamon twist. When we got home and opened the box we noticed the cinnamon twist was pretty dark in color, and it appears burnt on the bottom! Uh oh! I'm not sure what I expected coming to a bakery at 4pm in the afternoon but the treats do taste like they've been sitting out all day. Love the vibe of this bakery but it does get busy and there isn't much room inside. I got a slice of cheesecake and it was good but I didn't realize it had a layer of lemon curd under the chocolate topping. It wasn't the best combination but I scraped as much as I could off to enjoy the rest. The prices are rather high for what you get but I would try this bakery again for the occasional treat or special occasion. I stopped in here while visiting the area. I am a pastry addict, although I usually take just two or three bites before slicing and donating the remaining calories to friends, neighbors, & coworkers:). I walked out of this bakery VERY IMPRESSED. All four of the pastries I bought were worthy-- the Mocha Torte @ $8.99 was the STANDOUT. Its layered textures & flavors seemed to melt in my mouth-- just a rich, delicious torte! The only down fall is the employees. they truly lack being observant and are more in tune to each others lives. 3 employees were in the front & as I was waiting for someone to help assist me and one other guest. They were too busy with their conversation. Wow just stumbled on this place and I have to say amazing. Extremely friendly service, cute place and lots of bakery options. But not just the options the taste and amazing flavors. The pastries are so on par. This place definitely knows what they are doing. Oh and my coffees. I had a latte and a cortado and the flavor of the espresso is so on par. They use a roast from a local place in Wisconsin and you can taste each note. Such a great joint. read more

I'm not one to write a bad review, but this one is necessary. My friend and I visited today after lunch at sky pizza for a treat. I am highly allergic to coconut. I informed the employees as soon as I walked in as I always do. A very sweet girl told me what did not have coconut in it and she included a pink strawberry cupcake in that list. I asked a second time to confirm the cupcake had no coconut and the girl asked the manager/owner (I'm not sure which, but she was diffidently in charge) if they had coconut. The manager/owner responded without even glancing up at the girl "just strawberry". As we sat to eat out treat my friend had got the same cupcake and she was a few bites in when she asked the employee again, this tastes like coconut, are you positive. The girl who had originally helped us said nope, none and the manager/owner said "who told you that". The three employees all start to look very worried and that made me freak out. The owner/manager then called the lead baker who told her it had coconut extract in it. We immediately left to go to the urgent care, which I then spent the rest of my day dealing with. Fortunately, I hadn't ate too much by the time we figured out the mistake. Craft, you really need your employees informed on the ingredients in your sweets. I have never been to a bakery that didn't have their ingredients listed in a binder somewhere to check before selling their treats. And on top of that, listen to your employees intently when they are asking you questions. If you have a serious allergy, heed my warning and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting a traditional bakery with multiple selections. There were very few options and I guess my palette isn't refined enough. I ordered a german chocolate cake, key lime tarts and a cupcake. They were all just okay. The space is small and seating is a bit cramped. The service was okay. Not overly helpful and bordered on them being annoyed. I did let them know it was my first time which usually allows for grace when asking questions but not here.
