My sister-in-law was here visiting and had a broken screen on her iPhone 5c. We brought in the phone. When it was supposed to be ready we went back, but they noticed then that the new display was defective; so, they had to redo the repair. Why didn't they notice this when they did the repair the first time? Also, I was talking to one of the employees when he interrupted me to ask someone else a question. No apology. I started talking to him again, and he did it again. Tried a third time, and the same thing happened. The employees were all generally like this that I dealt with--fairly rude and acted like they didn't really care for our business. All this said, they did the repairs quickly and skillfully. Their communications, though not tempered with care, were technically accurate which I appreciate. Update: After posting this review, got a message from a representative of the store wanting to discuss my review. She was very polite and helpful and was able to make things right with me. This morning I had a fall with my laptop in its bag. It didn't hit the parking lot on its case but was jolted likely. I had charged it fully earlier but when I opened it up it wouldn't start. The light was ion so I knew it was working but would not boot up. I'm in Lubbock visiting my parents and working from here so not having my laptop was a big problem! I went on Yelp looking for a computer repair place. I called just before noon and a nice man answered. He said to come on over. Ten minutes later I showed up and the man who waited on me said they could do a diagnosis and so I left it with them. Less than three hours later they called and said I was all fixed. They told me they took the battery out and cleaned the contacts and other things I don't remember. He said it was working normally!! I was sooo happy. Ten minutes later I drove up and went in and checked it real quick. Turned right on no problems! Less than $75 later I walked out. Couldn't be happier!! Thanks and I will recommend y'all to anyone asking for help with computers. If you want something fixed correctly in a timely manner, do NOT use Fix in a Zip. Son broke the screen on his iPod touch. Went into the store on November 1st to order a replacement screen and paid a $50 deposit. I was told they would call when it came in. It would take 1-2 weeks to come in. After 4 weeks of not receiving a phone call, I stopped by to check on it. It had arrived. When I asked why I didn't receive a phone call, I was told that, "No one told us it was in." Dropped the iPod off for repairs on Tuesday December 12th at 1:15. Was told it would take a few hours but it would be done later that evening. Went back at 5:30 pm and it wasn't done. It will be Wednesday morning. Went back Wednesday at 6:00 pm and it still wasn't done. Went in Thursday at 6:15 pm and it was finally done EXCEPT now the sound doesn't work. It was working perfectly before we dropped it off. The only think my uses the iPod for is music and they managed to screw that up. We would have been better off just leaving the screen broken. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR IPHONE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!!! I recently went here and they replaced my glass for iPhone 6. 1 week later phone won't connect to towers. (I don't think this is their fault) I take phone to my carrier and they send me to Apple since phone still under warranty. Simply Mac opens phone and sees it is not their glass and says that completely voids the warranty. Carrier won't touch it... Apple won't touch it. Had I known not to have anyone work on Apple unless you want to void warranty, I would NEVER had come here. Just stick with Apple if your phone is under warranty or you don't care. I cracked my iPhone 6s screen. They replaced it for $86. In 1 day it grew a bright spot. Color a little off, finicky touch response. Took it back the next day and after trying to fix it, they just put another new screen on. No bright spot yet (couple hours) but this screen is touch finicky in a different way. Color off the same as the first fix. By off I mean not as rich. So their lifetime warranty is good. They're thorough. They're nice people. Their obviously non-OEM parts at the same price as OEM part replacements is how they can go through 2 screens and 4 hours of labor and still come out on top. It's the luck of the draw and if you get the short stick, it's you that gets to go back and forth until the screen they give you works well enough that you don't want to bother with it anymore. My phone works. The screen isn't cracked. But I'm not wasting my time or money with non-Apple certified service or parts again. A week later it turns out the second screen is slightly crooked and so it doesn't line up with external case holes for the proximity sensor. Not enough to block the camera but still very irritating when it doesn't go dark on a phone call and your ear keeps turning on speaker phone! If you want crappy parts, look no further! read more

I had water damage and a very bad cracked screen. I attempted to get the phone repaired/replaced through Sprint and the Apple Store in the mall. Sprint has horrible customer service and the Apple store said they could not attempt to repair it. A friend recommended Fix it in a Zip. I brought the phone in. The employee checking me in was very helpful and recommended the options that would cost me the least money. I received a call about two hours later with the news of a completely repaired phone. I think this is the cheapest place in town, but it's still high for replacing screens, but when you don't want to try a do-it yourself kit from eBay, it's an option. They were busy and to be honest it's not a fun place to sit there and just wait, nothing to keep you busy or entertained while you wait. Great guys. The girl at the front, Misha, was very nice to my wife and I. We took her iPhone in because it had been acting up. As it turned out, the reason it was misbehaving was because of a previous repair and not because the home button was fried. What would've been almost a $100 repair was reduced to around $30. They had us over a barrel and could've charged us more, because I was sure it was the home button. They only charged us the assessment fee, which I was happy to pay. Plus, they finally talked my wife into getting a functional Kraken case! Something I have been unsuccessful at doing for a long time. They had a daily deals ad that I bought. They made it look like a "half-price" deal and way overcharged. The fine print was even deceiving. They charge 89 dollars per phone plus tax. Just by google I can find a dozen places that are 20-50 dollars cheaper!!! The manager said: "it clearly says 25 dollars for 50 dollars out of 89 dollars" Way to screw over customers. read more

I've had a few iPhone screens replaced here (3+). Every time the job has either met or exceeded my expectations. They always complete the job in a timely manner (and on time). The staff is friendly and at the time that I used them they were the cheapest in town. I don't know if their prices are still the cheapest as I (luckily) haven't had to use them in a year or so. read more

Took my nieces ipad in to be repaired for a shattered screen. She brought it home and found it with a side of the ipad lifted. Not thinking anything of it she continued to use it. It cracked her screen and then the rest of the screen cracked. Took it back and they said they wouldnt repair it, but would offer me a 10% discount. I would have to pay the full price again. STAY AWAY! I can't believe the audacity! They fix one thing and break another. I took my Iphone in to get the screen replaced because I had dropped it. Everything else worked just fine, if I would have known that they would proceed to screw up the rest of my phone I would have never gone!!! the day after they replaced my screen, my phone kept shutting down with tiny code on the screen, after so many improper shutdowns, it started to fail me. I had been out of town and unable to take it in. I finally was able to take it in, and they fixed the screen that they kept blaming me for, saying it was water damage. They then found that they had installed a defective screen. When they gave me my "fixed phone" back, they told me that now my earphone jack was not responding, and they had no way of telling if it ever worked because they had not initially tested it. I was furious, all I wanted was a clean new screen. Now i'm left with a half broken phone. I use my earphones everyday, my jack worked just fine! So disappointed in their work ethic & customer service. Please friends, do NOT spend your hard worked money here. I urge you to look elsewhere. They compensate "clients" by leaving a positive comment with a discount. I got a discount for liking them on FB and all for what? SAVE YOUR MONEY, and do your research first. I don't know what these other customers mean when they say they experienced great customer service. I called these guys to see if they could put my iPhone back together and they quoted me $35.00 over the phone. When I got there, somehow my problem was different than what I said over the phone and they charged me 70 bucks. They had a fast turn around time (an hour) and I needed my iPhone that day because i left for school the day after. When I got it back and left the store I realized the home button stuck and I couldn't press it. So, since I paid 70 bucks I went back to see what they could do. Instead of being courteous and offering to fix the button, they tried to charge me another $70 to put in a different home button because my parts weren't covered by their warranty. They never mentioned the broken button when I picked it up from them. It was clear they used my phone - I saw a picture of their store logo in my camera roll. Probably great for part swapping that anyone could do themselves. But walk in with anything but a broken screen and discover this so called repair team can't use a soldering iron. Its a sad excuse for a business that overcharges you to put in a kit you could have bought yourself and done in a few minutes. I walked in with a fried charging port to see if they could help and replace it but was told they can't replace the port because it is soldered to the board...all phones have the charging port soldered to the board, so now I'm having to take my time to order the parts myself and fix it, and this sad business will continue to rip off people that are none the wiser. read more

Terrible service. Didn't take long for me to get my phone fixed but when it finally got fixed it was even more messed up. There was a bubble in the bottom right screen when my crack was on the left and they told me it would be an extra 30 dollars to get it fixed. They told me the guy at the front desk must have "forgotten" or "didn't know about it" which is why he did not telling me before they fixed it. Told me their staff was not properly informed of this and some of the guys working did not know this was ever a problem. Not sure why they would be working there if they didn't know. Instead, they fixed my phone screen and when they finally fixed it they wanted to charge me an extra 30 dollars for something they did. My husband took his Ipad in to have a cracked screen replaced. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and Christian music playing, however our experience has been disappointing. We live in Levelland and requested the Ipad be shipped to us since we both work. The turn-around was fast, however the screen had some inconsistencies that weren't there before...so we returned it the next day (a saturday). On the following Monday afternoon, my husband called to see if it was ready and was told that the problem was fixed and they had just shipped it back to us via USPS Next Day Express mail. By Tuesday night...no Ipad, Wednesday afternoon my husband called and was assured it HAD been shipped on Monday...and they would check into it and call us back on Thursday morning....Thursday, no Ipad! Thursday morning I called them and was told they were checking on the whereabouts of the package and I would receive a phone call asap....that afternoon at around 5:30, my husband called them again, was placed on hold and eventually someone told him that they were unsure why it hadn't reached us yet, but USPS had done this type of thing to them before and when they checked the online tracking number...it only stated "Electronic Shipping Info Received" , but they shipped it on November 11th. Once again, they were to call us back this morning (Friday). Today....no Ipad and no phone call! My husband called Fix In a Zip AGAIN...only to be told the same things regarding tracking number, etc. Before my husband hung up, I told him to ask them for the tracking number. Placed on hold again...eventually we were given a number. I immediately looked it up, and discovered a very MAJOR discrepancy in their story. As you can see below, Electronic Shipping Info Received...but not until YESTERDAY (THURSDAY) NOVEMBER 14TH! I then waited an hour and checked the tracking number again...and found an update to the previous information. The new information states that the Ipad was dropped off and processed at the "Origin Facility" on NOVEMBER 15TH, 2013....TODAY...AT 6:45 PM! I consider myself a very patient and understanding person, and I realize that "life happens" and errors occur. I'm pretty sure that there was a break-down in communication and the label didn't get generated until we called them for 3 days in a row. They probably print their own postage and labels (I do for Ebay stuff), and this was done yesterday evening after our phone call. I'm also equally sure that the intent was to drop it off by the end of today, with a saturday delivery in mind. However, there is absolutely no excuse for being lied to! The various "Fix In a Zip" staff and/or the staff member who attempted to place blame on USPS, would have received a very understanding reply from my husband and I if they would have just been HONEST! Sure, we were worried that the Ipad was possibly "lost in transit", but a simple , honest explanation would have prevented this negative review. I cannot recommend a place of business that has dishonest employees. I will be happy to remove this post or update it with a better review...if someone from their establishment will call my husband or I and admit that they lied, the fault was theirs...and not the USPS. I went to get my screen fixed today on my iPhone 6s Plus. I sent my phone in working perfectly fine and the LCD was still working. When I picked up my phone I was told that they could not fix my screen because of the shadow on my phone. Only to find out my touch screen did not work, I had lines all over my phone, and half of my screen was black. I took it back and they said they'd fix it. Upon picking it up again I was told my battery had over heated causing my screen to turn black and that they had put another broken screen on my phone because they told me it wasn't worth fixing because it'll eventually turn the whole screen black. I am so angry because I sent in my phone without any black shadow that I have now and my screen is still broken. Now I have to get a whole new phone because they messed my working one up. I was told by many people that replace screens that the reason it is black is because they heated it too long when trying to replace the screen. I will never go back to this place. read more

Apple certified?! Not a chance! My iPad was in this office three time. First time to replace a broken screen (caused by an item being sat on the device). (Warning: know where your iPad is at all times.) Within a week of the screen being replaced, it cracked! Found out later that they use cheap product shipped in from china. When my iPad went in for the second time, it came out worse! The devise would not charge and the iPad cover was broken ( yes they apologized and recommended I purchase a $50 iPad cover). The iPad said it was charging but it would not hold the charge. Took it in for the third time! Yes the screen was warrantied but the 'battery' issues required a $89 diagnostic fee plus repair fee. What!? The manager argued with me stating that it was something I had done to the device. I discovered later (after taking it to a certified repair shop) that my warranty through Apple was now voided because of these incompetent people. My only Solution was to either purchase a new iPad or fix it myself. My decision: open the iPad and reconnect the battery cable. While I was inside the iPad I noticed a bent metal cover and missing screws. CAUTION! Take your devices to an Apple store! read more
