In desperate need to stop a leak, I started calling around like crazy trying to get someone out as quickly as possible. A few days ago, one of my dogs decided to use one of my pipes outside as his chew toy & ripped a hole through it -_- to avoid a water bill that would cost me an arm and a leg, I shut down my water completely and started looking around in my area. I called them at 4:50pm (10 minutes before they close) and they were the only ones that would come out in such short notice. We were sitting in our living room when water started pouring out of our bathtubs and toilets along with everything else in our pipes! Ladies beware! So I have a story. I called these guys because I thought my dishwasher was leaking which created a leak outside of the house. However, the guy (Dominic) who was nice but obviously wanted to up sell me told me he thought it was the pipe that's behind the sink burst and insisted that's what it was. I believed him cuz I don't know anything plumbing so I trusted him. First he quotes me 2500 to bust through the outside and replace the pipe. I said ok sure, if that's what it is. So he goes ahead and does that, proceeds to bust open the outside wall and replace the pipe. But lo and behold it's not the pipe, it's the dishwasher. He literally opens up the dishwasher, takes him a couple min to remove it and shows me the leak underneath. So he charges me 4200 for the whole job, and leaves so fast cuz he knows he messed up. If I was a man I bet you that he would have opened up the dishwasher first before breaking through the outside of my house and charging more than he said what it costs. Had a minor emergency with a shower drip that turned into not being able to turn the shower water off. Could only stop it by turning off the main water line. I called Fix It Plumbing around 8:30 AM last Friday and asked if someone could come out and fix it in the afternoon that same day. I was told they could support a 4:00 -5:00 PM service call. I wouldn't go with these guys but if you do make sure you get a second opinion. They were Professional and polite sure, but they first said to change a water pressure regulator was $545 and that's for an hour of work and when I got the quote online, they tried changing the price to over $700. I called a different plumber (licensed as well) and he fixed it within an hour for $349 (including the part that was $100) and the water is back to normal in the house. I watched him change the regulator and thats no way $700 worth of work. Happy to say I didn't go with Fix It Quick Plumbing Inc. because it seemed they were more focused on robbing me than help. read more
