The worst experience ever!!!! The dentist tried to pull my abscessed tooth 4 or 5 attempts then gave me antibiotics after putting me through massive pain this happened on Christmas Eve that year and made me come back to pull the tooth after the first of the year. Attention: Not everyone has a cell phone. My appt was cancelled because they sent a confirmation text to my landline phone. I've quit this practice several times before due to: 1. overpricing 2. a rude receptionist that insisted that I get the Fixari insurance program. 3. a dentist was only focused on one tooth, not the one that was causing me pain and 4. my husband had really bad teeth and needed dentures, but the dentist insisted that he would not pull any teeth but was willing to put in implants. Two hundred dollars vs $3,000.00. We are part of the original patients that Mark Fixari had over 35 years ago. I wish he and his wife were still practicing at our location. Today was my 6 month general cleaning & check on my teeth. Elizabeth done a fabulous job on my cleaning, very gentle & informative as she was doing her procedure. I have had the worst experience with this dentist and the orthodontist that I was suppose to see. I originally went into to see the orthodontist on March 21st and he gave me a diagnosis of needing braces or the invisiline. At the time, I had been having bad headaches and other pains in my head that were unabearable. He gave me the diagnosis and then told me that they would double check my insurance before my next appointment. This would cost between 6k and 7500 dollars. so I wanted to make sure before I got all the money together. Well 2 weeks go by no phone call, still getting headaches and earaches, so I ended up calling like hey I just want to make sure before I commit. I was told someone would call me back...noone called me back. So I called to the Kimberly Parkway office today and spoke with Brittney. She checked my info and put me hold to review my info. When she came back to the phone, she told me that there were no notes and that the info I just showed that I was needed my insurance checked, which was the reason for the call anyway. She basically said, told me there was nothing she could do. When I asked who I could complain to she laughed, and told me the dentist were working and she could not just go give them the phone. Smh, I told her I didn't expect that to happen but if I wanted to send a letter to someone or if someone could call me back. She basically told me I was out of luck. The poorest customer service I have ever experienced, especially if I handing over 6-7 thousand dollars. I will gladly take my money somewhere else. I did speak with Amanda at the Lewis Center office and she was so happy to help me, and apologized immensely for the rude behavior. I really wish the phone calls were recorded to see the break down of service. I actually work in a customer service environment, and would never treat anyone the way she treated me, and I hope no one ever treats her that way. read more

Outstanding facility and a great staff. The staff doesn't talk down to you and don't pre-judge. A lot of people stay away from dentists (I was one). i've been to the Lewis Center facility twice and have been very impressed with the care and concern displayed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. My first visit was for general issues. The second visit was for a tooth extraction. Doctor John did an efficient and pain-free removal. I came to this practice while I was pregnant, because of tooth pain. When I called for the appointment I asked if they took my insurance and they said "yes". I guess I should have asked "are you in my network?" Because they gladly charged out of network prices for procedures that would have been free under my plan such as cleaning and exam. When the doctor entered he turned out to be a dentist I had previously visited and liked, but he closed his practice to join this group. He was nice and honest and did some work. On another visit a different doctor recommended a root canal on a tooth that the first doctor had different plans. A root canal or root therapy is about 750 dollars and if I don't need to pay it why would I ????? I was turned off by a dental assistants commentary on my pregnancy as she described why she would never want kids. The staff was overly aggressive with me in pressuring me to return for work, even though I discovered they weren't in my network. The only thing I enjoyed was the practice's ability to do numerous procedures because of the dental machines they had in their practice. read more

My sister was in severe pain from a few cracked teeth that become infected. I drove with her for an emergency dental appointment with Dr. Bobby as she hates the dentist (hence the infection part!). Most of the other offices we called were unable to accept "emergency appointments". Dr. Bobby is fantastic! Our wait time was around 10 minutes after the initial consultation with the Rickel, the dental assistance. Dr. Bobby explained several treatment plans and costs and did not pressure my sister one way or another. After giving her time to review and select options, he moved very quickly after receiving her permission to move forward with a treatment plan. Dr. Bobby made my sister feel very relaxed. He explained his next steps and made sure the numbing agents were in place before tooth extraction. In less than 30 minutes, my sister had three teeth removed, a prescription and next steps for a treatment plan. My sister does not have dental insurance and they worked with her on payment options. They lied to me, overcharged me, refuse to refund me and are still billing me for things that were paid by my insurance. This appointment was in January, but every time I call or my insurance does "someone higher up" needs to look at my account and call back... but they never call back. I called because of tooth pain and asked if they took my insurance....they said they did...however they never mentioned I was out-of-network till after the dentist found the issue and offered an expensive solution (one that would be 100% covered under my insurance). In addition, no one really listened to what I was saying about the source of my tooth pain...the assistants all seemed to jump to the conclusion that I "grind my teeth while sleeping" despite me saying that was not at all the issue (and I do not). The solution to this was to upsell me with some expensive tooth guard to stop the overnight grinding (that I do not do anyway). I had to ask why the price was so expensive despite my insurance coverage and only then did the staff say they were out of my insurance network. The dentist was the only okay part of my experience at Fixeri Dental, today. He seemed nice and very knowledgeable; It's a shame his staff had to walk around using those silly ear piece walkie talkies.....they talk to one another constantly and one of the dentists assistants even asked me to "stop talking for a sec" about my tooth pain so she could hear whatever it is she was being told over her headset. Was it that much more important than me; the patient she was currently with? As a company, is it even worth being so blatantly rude to your customers who came to you in good faith? I made an apt at another dental office from the parking lot of Fixeri Dental after I walked out, unsatisfied and still very much in need of dental work. read more

Three of us in my family went here because they had a cleaning / xray special. I liken it to taking your car to Midas or a similar and dealing with on commissioned technicians trying to scam you. For both me and my wife the dentist claimed we needed our fillings redone. They also messed up the enamel on the back of one of my teeth and then tried to tell me the tooth was supposed to be that way. We went back to our regular dentist and they insisted these clowns were full of it and our fillings were fine. Glad I followed my instincts and did not trust these people. If it were possible to rate lower than one star I would. This office will not tell you they are out of network unless you question them. My husband had a tooth pulled and paid cash and only found out they were out of network when we took our daughter in for a cleaning and noticed I was quoted two different prices. They humiliated me with the implication that I was a bad parent because I can't afford braces for my daughter. They tried to upsell us for an 800.00 custom night guard for bruxism. They refused to fill a cavity on one of my front teeth unless I had a root canal and got crowns on two rear teeth. As a result, the decay spread and I am now in danger of losing that tooth altogether. Being that this is a front tooth and quite visible, you can imagine my pain and embarrassment. The staff will quite literally gang up on you to pressure to sell you increasingly expensive services and appliances, and try to make you feel foolish and guilty if you don't comply with their outlandish treatment plans. They are rude and condescending. They would do well to remember that people are not only patients, they are consumers, and should be treated with respect if they wish to continue to receive money from said consumers. I am contacting my insurance company today and urging them to question any claims submitted by Fixari. I believe this dental practice to have highly suspect ethics and practices. read more

I originally went to Dr. Fixari as far back as 1990 and took my daughters there as well. When I moved away from the area, I stopped going to the dentist and it wasn't until I began experiencing tooth pain a year ago that I went back. At first I went to another dentist, but wasn't entirely pleased with her treatment plan. So I decided to try Fixari again. I am so glad I did. He worked with me to come up with a treatment plan I could afford that still covered the absolute necessities. For example, he put in a bridge that made it possible for me to forgo dental implants at this time. I go to the Kimberly Pkwy location which is very convenient since it is right off the freeway. It's a pleasant office with very friendly personnel. As for the cost, I've resigned myself to the fact that dental work is expensive no matter where you go and Fixari doesn't seem to be worse than others. It's a crime that dental insurance is so unsatisfactory in this country because dental health is very important. I can't believe this place doesn't have any reviews yet !I was in a lot of pain and found this place on the internet when googling emergency dental care and I called them and they got me in right away. When arriving for my appointment I was very nervous and scared because I already have anxiety towards the dentist and being in pain and not knowing what was going to happen made me ever more nervous. Right when I walked in my mom and I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who made me feel very welcomed. I told them that I was having anxiety and the receptionist was very understanding and told me that she would tell my doctor. She offered us fresh coffee and water while we waited. In the room the dental hygienist I had was very nice and very understanding about my fears and anxiety towards the dentist. She went through everything with me , got a back ground of myself , wanted to know what my goals were , why I had fears of the dentist. She took some x-rays and told me the doctor will be right in. The doctor came in and told me about my x-rays, what my treatment options were and he explained everything how I like it to be explained, he answered any and all questions that I had. He made me feel less nervous and he was very gentle ! I will be going to this dentist office from now on and I recommend any to go to them! If I could give 10 stars I would ! read more

Yesterday was my first visit. I am one who does not like going to the dentist. I'm always trying to understand the circles the dentist talk around me but at Fixari everything was explained so plainly that I barely had any questions. They are not after how they can get more of your buck. They genuinely care about the health of your teeth. I have insurance but I am considering joining their membership for further discounts as well. As I read through some of the lower starred ratings, I have to disagree with after money and if it has gotten more expensive then I would assume it's because they have state of the art machinery. Furthermore, dentistry is a skill and you shouldn't get upset when someone knows their worth. As for the woman who was upset that they didn't tell her she was out of network, it is clearly your responsibility to know if you are in network or not. Even if my insurance changes, I'm not leaving. We went to this Dentist after searching for a provider in our network. It took 2 months to get appointment for my husband and myself on a Saturday since we both work in healthcare. As a healthcare provider I can tell you that the service in this office is terrible. We got a phone call asking us to come in early which we were happy to help accommodate. I got called back within 10 minutes of arriving... a good sign. My husband however waited over an hour to get started with his appointment. They kept trying to "up sell" us on items like teeth whitening, a 800 dollar mouthguard for possible grinding during my sleep, and sealant which was $50/tooth. All in all our 1 hour appointment took nearly 4 hours. We will never be back here and will continue to tell all our colleagues to avoid this dental office. read more

Fifteen years ago, I would have rated them 5 stars, however, it seems now that they try to sell you everything you don't need. Every time you go it's something new, and it is always very expensive. This office is so slow and not organized. Every time I go I have to wait forever for a dentist. Last time I went I never even saw a dentist I waited and finally just gave up and went home. I referred a family member to this location and they completely messed up her work and its still not correct. Fixari Dental keeps up with all the latest things in the world of dentistry. I am amazed at how they always have a painless solution for any problem that my family or I had. I must say that I LOVE this practice. In my adult life I would only go to the dentist with a problem but as I got older I realized that I needed to take better care of my mouth to keep my own teeth. After going online and reading about the practice, and decided the location would fit my needs also, I made an appointment online. I live in Canal Winchester but, I wanted an appointment in Columbus. By mistake I made it for Canal but, I went to Columbus. They found a dentist that could take me there instead of sending me to Canal or having me make a new appointment. I'm so glad for the mistake. I enjoy the atmosphere, and the people. I have referred several people who have also become patients. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but, in my opinon worth it for good oral care and great service. They are trained to have patients come in no matter what insurance you have. Its called a 5-star call you have to be trained to answer the phones and pass a ridiculous test. The owners are extremely arrogant and every employee (but the other dds) complain about it. They always propose the highest treatment plan. Sometimes the work doesn't even need to be redone. This is why I decided to leave their practice and go work at a more conservative office. I felt like I was robbing people, the cookies were great though! read more
