My experience at Violet Family Dental was absolutely awful. I truly feel that they're an unprofessional and irresponsible practice. I came in to have work done on a few teeth. On one of my molars they had begun to fill a cavity, but upon entering the tooth they saw that it needed to have a root canal. No big deal, I had expected as much, until the pain arrived and got progressively worse as the days went on. I was already using the over the counter meds (alternating ibuprofen and acetaminophen) at the maximum dosage and it wasn't alleviating the pain. I called and told them that my tooth was keeping me up at night, that it was painfully sensitive and that it radiated across my face, and that I could feel my heartbeat in my tooth. Their recommendation to alleviate the pain? The original instructions to alternate ibuprofen and acetaminophen and to get on the cancellation list for the Endodontist or see an expensive emergency Endodontist. I asked for a prescription for a non-opioid and was told that they "do not write prescriptions." Apparently no exceptions, even for patients with infected teeth! At the Endodontist (a different practice), he asked me if I'd like to see a picture of my THROBBING tooth. You'd think that when a tooth is throbbing and the patient can feel their heartbeat in their tooth, the dentists might recognize that the patient is in more than an appropriate amount of pain to warrant a prescription to help the patient. If you need some cavities filled, you probably won't have any issues here. But Heaven forbid you experience an abscess or any pain that over the counter meds don't alleviate and you see Violet Family Dental. They clearly didn't show any consideration or empathy for my situation, I seriously doubt they'd have any for yours. So before you come to this place, ask yourself if that is a risk you for you want to take with your health. read more

Cleaning went well, was told I had a filling but it was precautionary. Was told better to be safe then sorry. I had no pain, but agreed to get the filling. I went to work and tooth pain got bad, 6 advil a day bad, now I need a root canal. I shouldnt have had the filling. I tired to go in to have them look at it again but they won't see me because I have left the state. I am an airline pilot. Its my job to leave the state. So now I have a dentist that won't see me. I'm stuck dealing with pain. When I call for help all Im told is im sorry. Do not waste your time, they knew I had to go back to work and won't have 14 days off sitting in the state. I could have lied and said I didn't leave but shame on me for being honest. Next time I'll go somewhere else. Zero care for there patients. read more

My wife and I used Violet Family Dental when we lived in Pickerington from 2014-2018 and received excellent care. Dr. Noll was my dentist. My teeth have issues-as in 8+ (I've lost count) previous crowns and root canals, etc., so I needed a dentist that I could trust who would shoot straight about the best long-terms options given my current situation. That's exactly what Dr. Noll was for me - so much so, that I called her recently for a 2nd opinion when my dentist in TN recommended a procedure that I was not sure was in my best interests. I swear if she was in-network in my company's dental insurance I'd still be going to her for my dental work. read more

I LOVE Dr. Noll. She is so warm and friendly. I feel like she genuinely cares. I've been going to her for years now... I guess since probably like 2003 so around 8 years or so. The dentist I went to before was always trying to get me to buy things and have things done. I felt like he was just trying to make money off of me. I definitely do not feel that way with Dr. Noll. She never seems rushed even when I can tell they are really busy. Never had a single problem. Look forward to going to her until I'm old and gray! read more

Dr. Knoll has been my dentist for almost 6 years and I have never had a bad experience in her office. Her staff is friendly, fun and very professional and Dr. Knoll is caring, takes her time and wants to make sure you understand her recommendations. Some dentists I've visited before I moved to town pushed cosmetic services and even books. Dr. Knoll is focused on your dental health, not making a fast buck. I couldn't be more happy with my experience and will continue to recommend her to my friends. She's the best! read more

I had a horrible experience both times I've been seen this time I took my children's records and mine and left. Takes too long to get in, was threatened that they would clean my sons teeth but it wouldn't be done right because he had a virus- instead of just saying we can't give him a proper cleaning while he is like this. The receptionists are rude, the younger dentists are rude. Dr Cao is the only reputable person in the building. It's healthcare and when it's not patient centered and its money driven you need to run. read more

This is, hands down, the best dental.... doctor's office I've ever been to. I've only been in three times and by the third time the receptionist, Linda, knew my name. She seemed to know everyone who came in. I was floored. Kind, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient. The dentists are personable and take time to answer questions and give thorough explanations of treatment options with no-frills, up front costs. The assistants are so warm and welcoming which is a huge plus in this otherwise anxiety inducing environment. This office makes dentist visits. ... dare I say it... enjoyable. read more

Thank you! TO the office receptionist and others at the front desk that brought me emergent & ESPECIALLY Dr. Noll and Jane. I have anxiety out of the roof when it comes to the dentist. On top of that I left with my SMILE and my tooth was saved. Having lost a front tooth cap the day before I went to a emergency visit at American Dental. (First Mistake), not only did they not help me they gave me a referral to see an Oral Surgeon.(when I asked if in network they did not know). I call my insurance company tell them I need an oral surgeon and had to wait additional day to be seen. I arrive at Surgeon and ... guess what American Dental was oh so wrong.... I needed a dentist to first decide could the tooth be saved or did I need a surgeon to pull... I needed a flipper or another apparatus so I would not have to go around toothless. The wonderful surgeon (Dr. Von Kaenel DDS). So he calls an office he had worked with and off I go To Violet Family Dental in Pickerington. They made me feel good from the time I entered the office. I explained my anxiety ... No problems... No judgments... No surprises. (ESPECIALLY THOSE FINANCIAL HIDDEN ONES) We now have a plan, I have my smile and I would recommend this office to everyone. As a nurse I totally understand the importance of listening and the importance of getting a second opinion.
