I so appreciated that Mitch clearly communicated the expected costs over the phone (very reasonable!), and just by the pertinent questions he asked I could tell he knew what he was doing. Once I arrived Mitch introduced me to Caleb, a knowledgeable and polite young man who was able to get my husband's phone back to working while I waited (mild water damage). I actually bought a new screen protector just because I wanted to pay them more! As an older female I am attentive to whether technical folks are trying to upsell me or assume a lack of knowledge. I had a new logic board replaced in my MacBook Air. I initially took it directly to Mac, and I was quoted in the mid seven hundreds. FIXCO replaced the board at a fraction of that cost. Great repair and reasonable prices. My only gripe is that they often don't reply to emails or at least the contact sheet on the website. I'd sent several requests and never got anything back (talking weeks/months), so there are a couple repairs I ended up having done elsewhere. That all said, the one repair I did get taken care of was a great experience - the repair itself, the time it took complete, and the price quoted were all top notch. Even with the response issue, I'd be happy to take a future repair to them! I also love that they are helping promote/supporting right to repair legislation. read more

Highly recommended. My wife's computer stopped responding. We tried rebooting it, it would get up to the login screen and then go black. I figured out where to reinstall Windows and tried that, hit 'enter' and then it went black. Took it down to Fixco. He suspected it may be the hard drive. Called me in I don't think even 3 hours later it was ready, the hard drive was bad, he had installed a new same size SSD. He also mirrored over all the old files. read more

A huge thank you to Mitch at FiXCO for his attention to getting our Pixel job done even while suffering through ongoing dental treatment. His attention remained focused on what the job at hand was, and even though it took a bit longer than expected, he called on a Sunday to tell me that he would be a bit delayed and would get back to me as soon as he could replace the ordered part. His skill with phones is equal to his concern for his customers. Our phones had problems while on a prolonged trip, one had a battery problem while another seemed to have a badly placed sim card. My laptop light was on but was not starting. I took it to Fixco and Mitch opened the laptop in front of me and found a loose wire causing the issue and fixed it right away. He also found a new battery for my laptop online whereas I had called Lenovo a year earlier and they had told me they no longer have a replacement battery for a 4-year-old laptop. I took an iPad in with a cracked screen. He was honest and said he could fix it but that maybe it would be worth it to buy a new one. He looked up some costs of new and refurbished iPads to help make my decision. He talked me out of spending money with him. I can't say enough about Mitch and his great customer service. He repaired my iPhone 6 screen, which has been through many falls! This is the 3rd time I have had this phone's screen repaired. I was by far most happy with his service compared to past experiences. He met me at a convenient location close to home and worked on my phone while I was present, much better than trusting a stranger in a back room. During the process of working on my phone, he explained what he was doing. It was evident that the work from the last repair shop (Cell Phone Repair) was sloppy and faulty. They had not replaced my screen screws and instead used a tape strip and wasn't even adhered. Also they had to cut the new screen in order to piece it together this way and never even told me! Mitch is a very helpful, extremely kind repairman. My Macbook Pro Retina 2013 was having display issues, so I brought it to Mitch. He tried many methods to get the screen working again, but it ended up being a logic board issue. Mitch does not do micro-soldering, so I had to take it elsewhere. BUT Mitch even went with me to the other repair store to make sure I got a fair price. I am personally terrible at negotiating, so it was great to have a tech professional there to help me out. Apparently my late 2013 Macbook Pro is "vintage". City Mac wouldn't replace the battery. Mitch helped me out, AND offered a loaner while he ordered the replacement battery. He is so helpful! My brand new MacBook decided to stop working and so I called to make an appointment to get my computer looked at.
