Had to make special trips,13 miles each way, to find out status, each time was told they have to order (the same) part. Finally said give it back, they took 10 minutes rummaging around trying to figure out which one was mine (they failed to label!) and then handed me pieces in a bag, assured me it all was there. I was SOL, couldn't use it for trade-in worth $250 off a new phone. Also couldn't retrieve some content that would have been on the SIM card but wasn't on Google cloud. Shit-show company, has all the marks of a private-equity scam. I just got new Samsung S24 at T-Mobile 18 days ago. Suddenly, I couldn't plug the cable into the charging port to charge the battery. I took the phone back to T-Mobile. The rep said the phone was only covered for two weeks. They didn't know what the issue was and basically sent me on my way. I took phone to CPR. The tech immediately recognized a tiny piece of rubber molding (from the phone) was jammed in the power port. He cleared the debris and fixed the problem. He had it fixed in several minutes. I got an estimate online, arriving at the store a few days later. The young gentleman at the front counter was super friendly, and said they'd have her phone done in a few hours. My experience: I went to CPR in Bellingham to have the cracked screen replaced on my six week young Motorola cell phone. I brought in a perfectly working device in every respect, still very new and pristine but with a minimally cracked screen (yes, I dropped it). I ended up several days later walking out with a non-functioning phone, that, upon examination, had been visibly damaged during the repair process. There were abrasion marks on the interior of the phone, the frame was not set in properly and IT DID NOT WORK. Between the first contact and the last when I left with my broken phone, there was word from the technician that I needed another part they didn't have in stock. (Understandable.) However, several promises were made about a positive outcome including "scavenging" (technician's words) for the missing part in their work area and ordering online if not found, but in the end I sensed that I was not being given a straight story, and family members more savvy than I as to technical matters, encouraged me to retrieve the phone. Which I did. The next day I bought a duplicate phone from my cell phone provider who also examined the interior of my damaged phone and agreed that an acceptable fix didn't look likely. I had a feeling that if I had left the phone with CPR to continue the work, the outcome would have been unsuccessful. It hurt to part with another $280 for a new device, but ultimately I'd lost all trust in CPR's ability to do a decent repair. Two positive things: CPR refunded the entire amount I had paid upfront for labor and "parts," perhaps done to appease me. And, I learned a lesson about being more careful in choosing a service company in the future. read more

I took two iPads in and the kid that checked me in not only took over twenty minutes but he's also took a personal phone call in the middle of us talking. I was bugged, but I let it go. I'm gifting an iPad to a child that needs one so I just need it fixed. He said they would be ready on January 29. I purposely gave them an extra day due to this kids lackluster service. When I went in to pick them up on the 30th the guy was almost mad at me for coming in. He said they wouldn't be ready till Friday February 1st. Here's my thing- please just be upfront and honest. And don't waste my time coming all the way to town for nothing. And then treating me poorly when I get there. She needed to arrange the repair herself so she called around and CPR had the best price. They did the repair in under two hours while we ran some other errands. I waited to write this review until my experience was complete with CPR because I wanted to see how things played out, and honestly, it took an unreasonably long time for things to play out. I don't usually take the time to write negative reviews because I really don't like to complain-- I genuinely feel like people are doing the best they can for the most part and I'm not the kind of person to lose my cool over mistakes. We all make them! What matters to me is how things are handled when mistakes are made, and that's the reason I'm writing this review at all. Here's the short version: I'm giving two stars because when I did get my phone back finally, the replacement part worked, and the people I worked with did ultimately help me until I was satisfied with the repair job. Everything else about the experience was completely exasperating, and I really, really recommend you save yourself the stress and go somewhere else if you can. Here's what happened in a nutshell. I arrived with two presenting problems for my iPhone 6S. There was a crack in the lens cover of the camera (the outer glass cover, NOT on the camera lens itself), and I needed a new battery because mine was old. No big deal. The tech at the counter told me if I paid for both up front, they'd only charge me once for labor, so I agreed and didn't think much more of it. They didn't have the lens cover in stock that day, so I agreed to come back when it arrived, estimated "in a few days". They did the battery quickly and efficiently, no complaints, so I waited patiently for a call. No one called. A week later I finally called back to check in. They had the part, they just forgot to call me. No big deal, mistakes happen, I dropped by right away and dropped off my phone to get the cracked lens cover fixed. When I returned to pick it up, I opened up the camera and it was blurry. I couldn't really be sure, but it seemed like whoever did the repair got fingerprints in it (not on the outside where I could clean it, but physically inside). Obviously this wasn't acceptable, so I asked them to please clean it for me. I was told a repair job "would never look as good as the original", which honestly is a pretty awful pitch for your services, but I asked them to please try regardless. Got it back the second time and noticed on my way home that there were black spots in the camera view when I was taking pictures. By now CPR was closed, and I was pretty frustrated because this had already eaten up over a week of my time, but I just decided to go back the following day. The next day, a tech took a look at it and confirmed what I was worried had happened-- the actual internal camera lens had been scratched in the repair process. I expressed my frustration that the problem had actually gotten WORSE as opposed to being fixed after I'd paid for a repair, and I was told that it was probably my fault and that I essentially couldn't prove it was CPR's fault. This was ridiculous since I literally had pictures I'd taken an hour or so before the repair, sans the black dots from the scratches. After some back and forth, the tech told me I could have the entire camera replaced for the cost of the part. I explained that I would not pay for a replacement part that didn't need to be replaced prior to their "repair". I was finally offered the repair free of charge, which I agreed to. Again, they didn't have the part. Again I was told they would call me when it arrived. Another week passed (I was told it would arrive midweek at the latest). I finally called today, and was told I'd be called back with a status update. No update, so I just went in a few hours later. They had the part after all. I expressed my frustration with the process so far, was told that things "just break" during repairs, and that I should be happy because I was getting my repair for free. Nah. I'm not gonna be happy about condescension and a waste of hours of my precious weekend. I eventually did get my phone back fixed, but with a heavy helping of stress. I still have no idea how well the part will perform long term. Long story short: please just save yourself the aggravation if you can. Everyone makes mistakes and I'm not out to get anyone in trouble or anything, but blaming me for your mistake that I paid for is a pretty lame move. I only got my repair because I pushed really hard for it and insisted I wouldn't pay for someone else's mistakes. Now learn from mine, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Had an iPad in there to be repaired for a disabled client of mine and they kept it for over 3 months. Multiple attempts to contact them with no luck. Even going to their store, no one was ever there during their listed business hours. I finally got ahold of them and Scooter, their iPad repair tech, had only just started working on it. I was given many excuses as to why it had taken so long to even open the iPad up. I was told it would take at least a month to fix and there was no guarantee when Scooter would be in next. I went by the next today to pick it up and will be taking it to a different repair shop asap. Fully reccomend you DO NOT go there. Was refused a refund for the over $140 that was spent initially to bring the iPad in. Honestly some of the worst service I've ever seen. The guy at the front counter, Brennan, was very unprofessional and told me multiple contradictory things about why the repair was taking so long. "The iPad tech is out often for personal problems" but also told me that they don't even repair iPad there..... WORST REPAIR SHOP EVER. Do not go there. They will hold your device hostage for months without repairing it, and them keep your money. read more

Left with a damaged wire connecting to the battery so my iPhone only held a 1% charge. I went back in and they put my broken screen back on, and told me to go to CityMac (who was so helpful). They refunded me for the screen but would not refund the $92 for labor even though they gave me my broken phone with more problems back. I repeat please do not go here! read more

Since they performed no labor on the device I expected a full refund (like other reviewers), but didn't get it after trying to get a hold of the manager and owner. They are soooo slow! It took months to get my Microsoft Surface's screen replaced. They do not communicate with you. I had to call to receive any information or updates. They always said that it's almost done and it will be ready later that week. Then they never called and I had to call to check in and it went on like that for 4 months! Possibly the worst service I've ever had! Terrible communication that was always instigated by me and never them. Completely unprofessional and dishonest. I highly recommend going somewhere else! I needed to have my drone fixed recently and CPR Cell Phone Repair popped up during my search for repair services. What a mistake that was. They seemed to have a good understanding of what needed to be done at first so I paid the initial labor fee and waited to hear back about how much parts were going to cost. They didn't call when they said they would, so I contacted them and was told they had ordered the parts they needed to repair my drone and they were hoping to be done by the end of that week and that they would call me when it was complete. Friday rolls around and no call so once again I called them to find out what was up. They said the technician working on it was out sick. Same thing the next week. I was pretty frustrated at the lack of communication on their part. I got a hold of someone that knew something about my drone finally and they said it was going to take more time to figure out what was wrong with it... After three weeks and after I was told they had already ordered the parts. So after being lied to and wasting all that time, I said I was done and needed my drone back. They said they would give me a refund so I went in and took care of everything... so I thought. I checked my bank account later and saw I was only refunded half the amount. So I went back in to the store and asked for clarification after I was told I was going to be refunded. So, about a month ago, my girlfriends Samsung Galaxy S6 edge fell off my car while driving and hit the screen, breaking the glass and destroying the lcd display. At first, we went to the mall to do the price check on its fix. I believe they said it will cost around 300-400$ to get it fixed. Well, okay, we thought. Went online and bought our own parts, but yet, they said it would cost us $150 for labor. Well, that's quite expensive we thought. Anyways, when the time came and we had money to fix, before going back to the mall, I thought about looking for other places that could do that for us. Luckily, we found CPR here in Bellingham. Went there, told them we need our lcd replaced and we got parts. These guys said that it would only cost us $65! A half of what people at the mall were asking! So, of course we went with that deal. Turned our stuff in, paid and picked up the next morning (because when we went there it was about an hour until its closure). Phone works great. Great job guys. Would definitely recommend! read more

The replacement LCD and screen I received is washed out (the display is not nearly as color vivid as an apple screen) and unresponsive in the top left corner (it takes multiple tries to hit the "back button". It also goes dark when my ear or finger is not even close to it. Besides the malfunctions though, the service was what upset me most. I explained when I came in that I needed my phone fixed right away because my friend had died unexpectedly and I needed to plan a memorial service for him two days from then. When I received my phone and mentioned the obvious problems the employees got very defensive and down right rude. I was asking questions to try to understand why this happened and after every question an omnipotent voice from the back room replied "We will just put her old screen back on." Which was so damaged is was unusable and now 6:45pm and too late to bring it to a more professional repair place. I asked if they could at least discount it, as it was not an apple quality repair, and received the same response. "Nope we will just out your old screen back on." Crying now, because I didn't have time to repair it properly and needed my phone to organize body viewings, caterers, cremation, plane tickets, etc, I paid full price for the bad repair job just so I could use my phone. I took my iphone into CPR get the charging port replaced. They did replace the port, eventually ($115), but for the two weeks they had my phone I called almost daily and was either put off or told to come the next day, only to arrive to find it wasn't ready. On top of that the camera was somehow damaged during this lengthy repair, and the microphones were reinstalled incorrectly so I could no longer talk on the phone without an external microphone. It's possible this damage might have been covered by CPR's warranty policy, but by the time I got my phone back I wasn't interested in handing it over to them again. Instead, I took it to FiXCO where the very prompt and communicative owner replaced the camera and readjusted the microphones for $55 while I waited. read more

Two defective screen replacements later I am stuck with a phone that has so much glue under the screen that it won't sit flush on the phone and is completely vulnerable to water damage. I can fit my fingernail beneath the screen and the screen is failing AGAIN! They offered a refund for ruining my phone but I still haven't received it. read more

My phone would not make the connection to charge, I had cleaned out the port in the past figured I needed a new input port this time since whatever I tried I could not get it t make a connection, Jasper cleaned it out, took just a few minutes. He wasn't going to charge me, so while I was there I asked what it would cost to fix my cracked screen, he told me even though my screen looked cracked it was just the crystal cover over the screen, he went ahead and installed a new crystal screen cover. So in less than 30 minutes I got my phone fixed so it would charge and a new screen cover, looks as good as new for $38. Fast, friendly and very reasonable price. read more

I have used CPR twice now to replace broken screens. The first time, I was very pleased with service, particularly because they are open late and were able to repair my phone in less than an hour. After my second experience I have to warn you that things have clearly gone downhill. While i was waiting for over 90-minutes, i could hear the employees talking back and forth about how to replace the screen. From what I gathered, one person who was doing the job didn't know what he was doing and the other person was trying to coach him. When i got my phone back, the glass felt sharp around the home button. The screen that they used caused problems with my phone that can only be explained by cheap glass. When it wasn't responding correctly to touch, i called and they told me to turn it off and turn it back on again. I had great difficulty submitting a warranty claim and am currently sitting at one of their partner franchises trying to process this claim. Unfortunately this store has stopped returning calls, texts (I tried) and emails. This has been a ridiculous waste of time and money. I've had to go to several different CPR stores to find one that has the right replacement screen for my iPhone and finally found one, but in the wrong color. I couldn't be more frustrated. Not only should they have done a good job in the first place, but the warranty process is a nightmare. Avoid!!! The reason this review is so long is because I'm just sitting around waiting for this store to call back so that maybe the warranty can be processed. Not how I wanted to spend my day off! read more

REPLACES SCREEN WITH FAKE (not original), I took my phone into another shop after it stopped working. They opened it up and showed me how different it was. If you have ever looked at knock off screens through polarized sun glasses, the screen is so dim you can't even see it almost.
