RUN! Read all of the reviews before calling them. My husband was locked in his office. I called Discount Locksmith at 702-583-7727 because it was close to his office. A gentleman came out, but he didn't have any identifiable information or uniform. He changed one deadbolt hook lock. We have had locks changed before, so we were aware that this should cost between $100-$200. When the gentleman was done, he charged my husband almost $1000 (see the attachment for ONE deadbolt). My husband told him this wasn't a fair price, but the gentleman, who went by the name Ruben, said he was just an employee and for my husband to call the office. This is why my husband signed the paper because both he and the Locksmith were leaving the office, and the Locksmith said my husband would have to discuss the fees with the office. My husband showed me the invoice, which said Locksmith Solutions at the top. I was upset because I knew he ripped my husband off. I called the Discount Locksmith at 702-583-7727. The gentleman on the phone said they would refund $205. My husband got three comparable quotes. Silverstate Locksmith- total cost $180 Silver Eagle Locksmith- said they'll beat Silverstate by 5% so $170 total cost. 24/7 Supertech Locksmith Services- Spoke to Benji. He said that it depends on the cost. Most of the time this lock can be repaired, and that depending on the repair needed it would probably range from $79-149 total cost. If it needed to be replaced, then the total cost would range from $229-$295. I contacted Discount Locksmith again and provided the quotes. I told the gentleman that I was willing to pay a fair price, but as my husband and I suspected, $765 was not a fair price. The gentleman said he would speak to his manager. I never heard from them again. When I tried to read out again, the company said they go by Locksmith Solutions and they don't know anything about Discount Locksmith. Our credit card statement shows Fixed Rate Locksmith. This company is going by three names: Discount Locksmith, Fixed Rate Locksmith, and Locksmith Solutions, and when I tried to speak with a manager or fix this overcharge problem, the number I initially called for the service is saying they never came out. My husband called the Better Business Bureau and the police to report this company. We learned from the Better Business Bureau that Ruben Dario Rodas-Cardenas, is the listed owner of both Locksmith Solutions and Fixed Rate Locksmith. Called and quoted us $20 per lock to have rekeyed and $45 for service call. Had 7 locks and should have been charged a total of $185. We were charged and paid $365!!! He had all kind of reasons....some locks have 2 sides. All not the same kind of locks...an absolute rip off! We have had locks rekeyed in the past but never a big line on all that was different and cost twice as much as we were quoted. Do not use this service beware!!! They are scam artists!!! I called to have my front door lock opened, The office told me it would be a $49 service charge plus whatever labor was. The technician was right around the corner so he did not have to drive very far to get to my house. He tells me the service call is $39 plus labor and then proceeds to tell me that it's going cost me almost $200 because he has to drill a hole in the front door whatever blah blah blah and if he goes to the garage door it'll be $180. So I said well let me check the back door and see what kind of lock is on there and the back door happened to be open. So I told him I would pay the service fee of $39. So then he upped the price tells me it's gonna be $59 and I asked him how can it be $59 and you didn't have to do any work and then he told me it's actually $89 but he was going to give me a break and I'm like how does it go from $39-$89 and you didn't have to do any service and it's not like you had to drive across town wasting your gas and time? And then I told him the office told me it was going to be $49 I don't even know where you're getting 39 and 59 $89 quotes from so I told him I wasn't gonna pay him I was gonna call the office. He calls the office so I can't and trying to tell them what the charge is supposed to be but I already talk to the office so I already know I actually talk to the boss and it was the same person that was on the phone who just told me minutes before it was going to be $49. I told him I will not give this technician my credit card information he is scamming me. The technician is yelling at me and threatening me in the background he's going to get his money and he's not gonna leave until he gets his money it was a huge scene in front of my home completely embarrassing so the supervisor told me to just give him my credit card number over the phone. Got quote thru Yelp app. Sent a new technician who Did not even call me until 10 minutes after he was supposed to arrive. He was calling to confirm the appointment and address at that time, which I would think he should've been well before that. He sounded like he was either extremely sleepy, stoned, unaware, or possibly a combination of two or all three. He talked me out of doing the job and told me I should go buy a new door lock on my own first and then call them. He then within five minutes started calling me back at least four or five times saying that he was going to come out and do the job or something of that nature. By the time he called me, I was already on the phone with my handyman who offered to take care of the problem for me and no longer needed a locksmith.
