These guys say they're the best in the business have been around for 20 years? It's all a SHAM. It's my daughters 14th birthday so I searched around for iphones in our budget. They were spendy so as I was about to walk out the guy there was also very annoying. This same guy basically followed me outside and asked what price I wanted? I told him and he agreed right away! Nice? Well.... I find out he was selling me a phone that has issues! Claimed to fix it the next day. BUT, the very next day had the same issue :( The tech tried telling me to my face he couldn't see what the issue was when the camera was shaking right then and there! What the? Refused to refund my money. Said I could do an exchange only within 7 days IF they HAPPENED to get in another phone like the one we bought. It's my daughters 14th birthday and I just bought her a broken iphone 6s. To top it off they offered me in store credit only when all they had out on display was a phone $300 more expensive than the one we bought. I actually saw them grabbing phones off their display as I parked in the parking lot these guys are crooks!! read more

We recently took an iPhone 6 in for a Fixoid screen replacement and opted to pay them more for an Apple screen instead of a third party substitute. We understood they were trained and certified to perform this type of repair. Within a few days the entire phone stopped working post repair. We took it to Apple Pioneer Place and they said the screen was not installed properly and that had in turn caused the motherboard to fry. Apple said if I had repaired the screen there they would have replaced the entire phone for free with the screw up. They told me to go back to Fixoid and at least recover the full cost of the recent repair. We went to the Vancouver store in person and they said they could only give us $50 of the $149 paid back, with them keeping the non working phone to use the screen. Huh? 60 day warranty is a joke when something like this happens. Go to Apple or a real Apple certified repair shop if you want to protect yourself from crazy replacement costs. read more

Deceptive, inflated costs. Said they would apply diagnosis to repair costs, instead they inflated the repair cost saying there was additional labor costs to replace a part that they had to remove to diagnose. They did not provide the replaced part (could have been a loose connection) or a breakdown of costs for parts and labor. Avoid these crooks. read more

Comprite Computer Repair Vancouver DO NOT TRUST WITH YOUR MAC. They have no knowledge of Mac products. I took my Mac Mini in to have iTune files moved from one drive to the next as one hard drive was full, and the other was empty. I dropped off for repair the morning of Nov 26th, for expected pick-up Nov 29th. Ben Bolokhovskiy assured me the files would be movable. They were unable complete the task in the promised time. On Dec 2nd I was phoned that the task was complete and operating normally. I brought it home, and attempted to use the moved files, and they could not be found. I took it back the next morning, they said it would be a simple fix, and that they should be able to fix it for pick up the next day. On Dec 5th, I received a call that it was ready for pickup. When I hooked it up at home, the files worked, but they were duplicated. I called and explained my concern, and was told that this is what I asked them to do. I explained I wanted files moved, not duplicated, and what was I supposed to do with all these duplicates? They consulted their Apple expert Alex, who said I needed to delete them each- one at a time. There are over 9500 song files alone, not to mention video files, was I supposed to click and delete 9500 times? "Yes," was the answer I received. Outraged, I said this was not part of our agreement, and they needed to fix it right away. They said it was exactly what I asked them to do, and they had delivered as promised, the files were moved, problem solved. This was unacceptable, so the told them I would be bringing it back to have it repaired as per our original agreement. They said that would be fine, but they would be charging me for it. I told them I would not be charged for work to be done as a result of their incompetence, and only after I threatened to have it fixed elsewhere, and sue them for the cost and their $200 repair bill, did they agree to fix their error at no additional cost, but that they would need it for two weeks. At this point I knew I was speaking with people who had no idea how to address Mac problems. I told them I could get it to them on Dec 6th for pick up on the 9th, and they would have to make that work, as I could not afford to be without my computer another two weeks. They said that would not be enough time, as there was more than 9500 files! My point exactly. I have contacted Apple, and unfortunately, since the move was done INCORRECTLY, the only way to delete the files was from iTunes- one at a time. BEWARE! Alex and Ben know nothing of how to make simple file movements on Mac products. Just make the drive to the Apple store, and forego the problems they will cause. read more

Brought a perfectly working iphone 5s with cracked screen for screen replacement, and took back home a bunch of parts that were simply thrown in a box. My almost brand new battery had a dent on it and I'am not sure if it the same one I had in my phone prior to the repair, and the screen i got back was definitely not mine. After a week of discussions and heavy arguments with store owner and other sales representatives I was offered store credit toward a purchase within the store. The inventory consists of heavily used phones at inflated price such as: $200 for used LG K10- which is sold for $165 by my carrier, $200 for Samsung S4, $400 for well used iphone 6s. After I refused to take back anything old and requested to replace my phone with another working iphone 5s, the store manager yelled at me in front of other customers. I wish I would read reviews before going there with my son's phone. Now I learned my lesson, unfortunately it costed me a lot of money. read more

They advertise a flat fee Laptop repair. I don't think so. Short Version - they refused to give us our money back. Their guarantee is completely useless, their customer service is non existent, and their advertising is false. Long version- Before taking my laptop in, I called to find out more. According to the sales rep all laptop repairs are promised to be complete in 3 business days. If they are unable to repair it, they will charge a diagnostic fee only, ($75). All repairs are guaranteed for 60 days. Sounded great! Took my laptop in - it was fixed in 3 days and I was happy. 2 days later it broke again! I brought it back immediately. I was told they'd take care of it right away and they'd call me as soon as it was done. They never called back. So we dropped by to pick it up a week and a half later, the guy handed it over without a word. As soon as I get home I try turning it on and it won't boot up! We call and they say "oh - yeah - you need a new mother board, we can install one for another $350.00" Why didn't they say that when I was in the store? Why didn't they call me and tell me that a week ago? read more

The customer service and diagnostics were awful. I took iphone in for a new screen and when I mentioned that battery drained really fast they replaced it but after getting home it was still losing charge rapidly so I took it back again and was told it must have been a bad battery but they didn't have any in stock so I had to wait 5 days to get replaced....still draining fast. Upon taking it back again I politely asked to just get a refund of the $50 and the employee said he would have to ask his manager (who was never present in my multiple trips to Fixoid). I was informed since they discarded my original battery (not my fault) that they couldn't issue a refund so after multiple trips to a location that's extremely difficult to get to the way it's situated I'm expected to just pay the $50 for a battery that never needed to be replaced. Never an apology for my troubles or a refund for their misdiagnosis and charging me for a battery that I didn't need. I recommend going elsewhere for repair needs as Fixoid is truly lacking what is needed to provide customer satisfaction. read more

Want it done right? Don't go here. Want it done fast? Don't go here. Want it done cheap? Don't go here. Want to have a tech give you a lecture on how to run a business and how many days there are in a week? Go here. Took my daughters laptop in to have the screen replaced after I stepped on it, my fault, my first mistake. The second was taking it here thinking it would be quick. Was told it would take two days to get the part and it would be fixed that day. Took a full seven days (and 550 dollars plus tax). I was told the entire back of the laptop would have to be replaced. My daughter is in another state attending college. I didn't test it, just got it ot her. The day she got the laptop back she let me know the webcam no longer worked. Less than 30 days after she got the laptop back the screen glass(not the back, just the glass) fell out. I contacted the Vancouver store and tried to make arrangements to have it fixed in West Linn since that is quite a bit closer to where she goes to school. I gave her number to them and they contacted her. But, when she got ready to drive to West Linn, she was told the tech wasn't there. They cancelled on her more than once. She came home over spring break, I took the laptop in to Vancouver on Monday. I told them she was home for Spring Break and really needed the computer for school, that I would be out of town during the week but back by the weekend. They called me and left a voicemail on Wednesday saying everything was fixed but they needed her password to test it. We gave them the password, never heard anything back. On Saturday, the day before she was returning to school, we stopped by to pick it up. Then the real fun began. The tech said, oh yes, its done just a minute. He went to the back room and after some searching came back with a single screen of glass and an HP laptop. I brought in a mac book pro. Pretty significant difference. I told him it wasn't ours and he said "really?" After some more searching, he came back and told me it wasn't ready and needed a new cable for the webcam that they expected to receive on Monday. I explained that my daughter needs the laptop for school and would be going back on Sunday. The tech told me that I was informed it would take a week and that this was Saturday and it had only been four days and there are seven days in a week. I started to question this, as well as his math skills (Monday to Saturday is 6 days), then just said, no wonder you are changing your name to fixoid, too many bad reviews I bet. He really went off at this and said "when you have been in business for 15 years you know how and when to change your name and its not because of bad reviews". I said "its pointless to argue, I will be back on monday and figure out some way to get it to her". I then headed for the door. AS I was walking out, he shouted, and I do mean shouted" Don't tell me how to run a business". BTW he looked to be about 25, I doubt he started the business when he was 10. But, I promise I won't ever tell him how to run a business, for that I charge more than they do, but I would do it right! read more

I needed my laptop fixed for school and the guy working did more in the way of picking fights with my dad than making me feel comfortable about the well-being of my laptop. I needed the laptop for school by a certain time, and the fact that they didn't finish it in time wasn't as big of a deal to me as the rude employee who was quite literally so disrespectful that it seriously poisoned part of my day. Never mind the fact that they didn't do a very good job fixing my broken Macbook screen in the first place. I could have left a bad review then, but I didn't because they were originally being helpful when trying to fix their mistake. Until they cancelled on me several times and insulted my father's intelligence. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for quality service. Eventually my screen did get fixed, however now there are two small scratches in the screen about a half an inch long. At this point I'm cutting my losses because I guess this is the best as it's going to get from "Fixoid" (previously CompRite). read more

If l could leave a 10 star review, I would! Alex and his team at Fixoid are the best when it comes to tech repair! They have saved me so many times with various phone issues I've come across over the years. When Apple told me to go kick rocks and buy a new phone when I had an iPhone stuck in some weird boot loop, Alex got it figured out somehow and everything on the phone was restored to how it was previously! Screen repair, battery replacement, earpiece replacement, chargeport replacement they done all that and more without any issues! Now in a world where we heavily rely on our tech, smartphones specifically, keeping all passwords, business data, personal data, and security is pretty solid. We never expect something to happen to our phones to the point where they are not responsive. So I missed a few backups that I probably should've done. And suddenly phone is smashed, front and rear glass, half of the display turns on but not responsive. Can't unlock, can't do nothing. Filed a claim with insurance, they send me new phone! Awesome! But now to transfer my data and everything with all the latest information, well can't do that since totalled phone won't unlock. Security. And can't risk doing a factory reset to lose all my valuable info! One call, Alex at Fixoid, they took care of it! Where the new phone was literally my phone before the incident! All apps that were open previously, still open, just like hitting resume from where I left off before phone got destroyed! Saved me BIG TIME!! This is why I keep coming back to Fixoid whenever I have issues with either phone or laptop, they even fixed a control board for my Tig welder! They not just limited to phones and computers, they fix smartwatches, xboxes, PlayStations, tablets, pretty much anything tech related! 10 out of 10 recommend these guys! Best in the business! On December 20th I was in Vancouver with my 15 year old daughter Nikki, visiting some family and grabbing lunch at Golden corral in Orchards. As we walked out to our car, my daughter's phone slipped from her hands and ended up on the ground, hitting the top left corner and completely shattering the screen. She started crying because she just got this phone on Thanksgiving from her boyfriend as a gift. He worked really hard and the gift meant a lot to my daughter. Plus, she was using this iphone for homework. So, you can imagine how she felt. At first, was kind of mad and angry that I may have to spend a few hundred bucks on a new phone, but then I decided to look for a repair place nearby. A quick search pointed me to Fixoid, who were only half a mile from our disaster zone :) We went in and spoke with Mark. He was very polite and knowledgeable about this phone and made us feel at ease about our incident. Apparently, this kind of story is something they hear all the time and broken screens are nothing new to them. After a few minutes of asking some basic questions, like price, type of repair, how long it will take, warranty, etc. I realized it would be under $100 to have it repaired quickly vs a few hundred to replace with a new phone. Mark took the phone in and about 20-30 min later emerged with not only a new screen but also the bezel (frame) which they were kind enough to replace because her old one was badly indented in the corner and apparently it wouldn't help the new screen seat well in the old frame. The additional fee was very reasonable and after seeing this phone come back from broken to almost "like new", my daughter started jumping from joy. First things first, ill have to say these guys are the best! I had went into best buy to have my computer repaired. They looked at it and told me the charging port will need to be replaced. They told me how much it would cost, which was spendy but that's not what got me. They told me they would need to send it out and it would take up to 3 weeks. I can't wait that long, due to my work needs to be done in a couple of days. So they have recommended Comprite for this job. I didn't really recall them, but they said they do a really good job. So I figured I'll try them out. So I arrive, and I was greeted right away, I felt very welcome. I have told them my problem, and they already knew what needed to be done and how long it would take. They gave me a quote and a time frame, for how long it would be to repair. Their quote was very good and resonable. They told me it would take a couple of days to get the part, and they would install it the same day! I agreed, and had them do it. I was risking it since I didn't really know of them. So I hear from them in a couple of days, they had got the part and installed it. I can't express how happy I was to hear that in only 2 days my laptop was all fixed and working! They actually stood by their promise, and they did exactly what they said they would! I am sooooo happy I gave them a chance!! You guys should too, you will NOT be dissapointed! I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN ROBBED!!!!!! RUN, DON'T WALK, AS FAR AND AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! ZERO STARS!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID... AVOID... AVOID!!! DO ANYTHING YOU MUST TO AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! Yes, I'm shouting because I don't want anyone else to waste their valuable money and DAYS without their device the way I have. This business is AWFUL, TERRIBLE, HORRID, RUDE, NASTY and ultimately WORTHLESS!!! I can't and won't go into any specific details because lets face it, they have my name and address plus whatever else they may have "snatched" from my phone. (I've already changed all of my passwords and account details.) I will say I took "it" in for diagnostics two weeks ago and after keeping it 3 days was told "nothing" was wrong. I explained again and again what "it" was doing and was treated very poorly. They were so condescending! Their diagnostics "knew everything" and IF there were problems they were all MY fault. I heard everything from it was user error, I needed better internet, less apps... they even suggested the problem was "metal buildings"?!?!? The device was definitely not working so I sent it back east for the "Company" to fix. The device was soooooo messed up that the "Company" sent me a brand new one even though my warranty was up that week. EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

Nick, one of the sales consultants and the repair technicians were great! I live in Vancouver and used to go to a good Mac store in Portland but hadn't gone for some time due to more location and time inconvenience with my work schedule. My iPhone was having issues charging, and I put up with that inconvenience for a year till I finally went to go get help and saw their repair shop ipen nearby and with convenient hours. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and was helped promptly by Nick who realized my chargong problem was a simple fix of cleaning out lightning port--within a few minutes charged perfectly! After that he noticed that my screen was loosening and at risk of getting water damage and recommended and fixed that within an hour on the same Friday afternoon. I then asked him a lot of other iPhone questions/wishes I had been saving up and he answered them all and even fixed me up with an adaptor that lets me charge my iPhone wirelessly like the new iPhones which I love! I was so impressed with his knowledge and professional attitude that I brought my wife and wife's cracked case back in which he also had fixed, and my wife is very happy about. I'll definitely return here for help with any future iPhone needs--thanks! read more

I spilled coffee with mixed sweet sugar on my laptop which contained all my data (priceless doggy Bazooka and cat Maltica pictures and video and programs. The thought of having to start over with a new laptop made me dizzy; not to mention the expense and hours of shopping and work that was needed. I rushed my laptop to a local major mega store that prides itself on their tech support - and wasted plenty of time and money - only to be told the task of repairing the laptop is too costly and probably out of their league. I brought my laptop all in one tab to Fixoid and they accepted the challenge at a very reasonable price. They replaced and cleaned all the affected H2O damaged parts. I got my Laptop back and it's like it was never damaged. Laptop CompRite did a few major surgeries on my laptop and saved its life and mine; without bankrupting me! They are very friendly and service orianted, starting from brewing coffee for you to giving you access to their laptops while you are waiting to texting you when your item is ready. These guys are my heroes! Came back here yesterday to have my iphone 6 screen repaired. These guys did a great job fixing it on the spot. The only thing I wish was different is the original part turned out to be defective and they scrambled to find a new one from another local vendor, which I thought was amazing. Most shops would probably make you wait, but the technician and his boss went out of their way to help me out. Totally not their fault, but I appreciate everything they have done. The phone looks like new, all functions are perfect. Despite some negativity from others that I see here, I cannot agree with any of that at all. Thanks Fixoid for coming through for me again. Update: had another repair done on my Windows 10 PC. This time it was Ransomware that attached my operating system. I couldn't get back in. the guys reset everything back to normal and I didn't lose my files. Big thanks! I'm really enjoying my computer this many years later. Thanks Fixoid! read more

Last week as I was on my way to a presentation with one of my customers up in Ridgefield, WA. I realize my laptop is acting wired every time I plug my western digital external drive to my USB. I thought it's probably drivers or what's not, but when I try to locate one of my files my computer, he crush and shot off!!! Not just that I can't get it back on!!! Confused and late to my next meeting I look for a place to put this back together. Yelp shows me this place close by my next meeting. So I stop by and they were awesome to save my day! The guy( sorry I don't remember your name) was right on top of it. I left it there for my next meeting working with my tablet for now, and about an hour later I got a call it's ready and working! What they save on that hard drive and computer was priceless and the price and service was very prompt- I will always recommend Comprite from now on thank again for saving my day and data! read more

Asked them to open a laptop, replace a non-system storage drive after attempting to clone the one they were replacing onto a brand new, factory sealed drive. Very simple, basic stuff, chores for trainees, essentially. They had a problem cloning the drive. Wanna guess why? Because they formatted an internal storage drive with FAT, that's why. The cherry on top is that when I left, they didn't give my power supply (which I had to rename a "charging cable" to be understood), so I had to turn around after I got home, to come back clear across town on Black Friday, to retrieve it. They charged me their blanket data transfer fee for the service of sticking an improperly formatted drive in my machine, after only able to transfer FAT sized files onto it because of that noob mistake. I think I would have been better off if I had takenit anywhere else, or even done it myself. read more

I'm no computer whiz, but I knew when there was something wrong with it when it was really slow, freezing up, blah, blah, blah. These guys took it in and diagnosed it quickly and affordably. I found out my computer was still under warranty by a big chain store and it was going to take weeks for them to handle this! I am a full time on-line student, so time is definitely not on my side. Not only did my hard drive go, but the whole thing decided to crash... These guys went way above and beyond to work with me, and this big chain, so much that I went ahead and bought a computer from them while waiting for these other yahoos to replace the one that went South. Very friendly, intelligent, and affordable service. I highly recommend Alex to anyone. I have to have the computer for school and they made it right. Thanks, Alex, and kudos to your Vancouver store! Fixoid did an amazing job and went above and beyond while fixing my MacBook Pro. Everyone was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and maintained stellar customer service while my laptop was getting repaired. Fixoid originally quoted me at a price to fix my computers motherboard. When issues arose and there were additional problems that needed to be fixed, Fixoid completed the additional repairs free of charge. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Fixoid. WilliamR. I, not being tech savvey,chose to take my asus ultrabook in to comprite before ever reading any reviews about them first.....BIG MISTAKE!!! The first time I took it into them they seemed to know what they were doing,however, shortly after getting it home something else came up regaurding my PC. Based on the warrenty I was given on my first reciet,I took it back in to be re-diagnosed and repaired in the same way they repaired it the first time,based on the notes they kept on file...I don't believe,for a minute, that they even consulted their notes as they stated they did. I was charged $350 to have my hard drive replaced. It would have cost me $200 at the apple store. The hard drive then lasted for about 6 months. It should have been under warranty so when I took it back in they told me it only had a 6 month warranty. I looked up the hard drive online and it should have had a 3 year warranty. When I went to pick up my hard drive because everything seemed very fishy to me they returned to me a hard drive with no sticker on it and forceful damage to it. I then went to best buy to have a new hard drive put in which took 5 minutes and cost me $100. They gawked at the hard drive explaining to me they had never ever seen one with out stickers or so badly damaged. Thanks CompRite for your fishy, crappy and overpriced service. Hello my name is Bob and I live in Vancouver and have brought my LapTop , iPad Air and PC to CompRite for over four years now and have not gone to another store. I have found the sales, staff and service to be excellent , superb and timely. They have an excellent selection of computers , iPhones, iPads, Samsung and computer accessories. The staff and manager, Alex, have been curious and competent; their passion being one of helpfulness and understanding. They will go the extra mile to keep you happy. Although there is at least one computer store closer to me in Vancouver, I prefer to go to this company. The quality of the work done at CompRite is such that I would rather drive another twelve minutes to their store and get my computer , iPad Air and my wife's Sony fixed by someone that I trust and believe in. read more

I've had to bring my iPhone XS Max to Fixoid twice now. The first time was for a screen replacement and the back glass, which was cracked pretty bad. Alexander helped me out and made the process super easy. Phone came back looking and working like new. The second time was way worse, my phone fell off a third story building. The frame was destroyed, the screen was smashed with no display, and I figured it was completely done for. They ended up replacing the screen, putting it into a new frame, and even noticed my battery was going bad. They swapped that out too, all in the same day. Both times I left with a phone that felt brand new. The team is professional, fast, and they actually care about doing things right. I'll be honest, I'm kinda cheap. I don't do tons of video work or gaming, so don't need the latest/greatest... so forever I've been buying cheap laptos. I found this place through craigslist and got a great reconditioned unlocked phone for $100 which they helped me, in-store transfer my Verizon service to since I had a SIM card, so I KNEW it all worked great before leaving the store. They were even MUCH better than dealing with the actual Verizon store, because they actually knew in and out EXACTLY what they were doing. They had nice laptops at great deals too, so a while later when mine stopped working went to look at one they had advertised. It was a great deal, but it was a tablet w/ a keyboard which I'm not looking for. They just don't do too well staying right on your actual lap. So they hooked me up w/ a great deal on a Samsung S-book that retailed for $1,400.00 new 2 years ago, still around a thousand new today... for $380.00 cash! :) Plus, it's Verizon compatible, so can take a SIM card to add 15 gigs of BUILT-IN internet at full speed for $10.00 a month.... Add that to being able to tether another 15 gigs from my phone, and I pretty much have mobile computer internet wherever Verizon can reach. I absolutely LOVE these guys. Years ago I started a business trying to help the little guy have something nice. These kids seem to have the same idea. I'd have NEVER spent the money to get a really nice machine new from a box store, but this is just as great. The best part though, is the customer service. These guys REALLY know their products, and if the owner isn't 100% positive on something... his tech-guy he has in the back will know. Far cry from the hacks you'll find at Best-Buy or other box-stores who know absolutely nothing about anything and seem to be annoyed with having to actually speak to a customer. For those of us who remember what Customer Service USED to be like before the "F-you, deal with it" mentality took over everywhere, this is really a cool throwback to days when you had much more pleasant and fulfilling purchasing experiences. Only warning I may put out there, is they're only a 2 man operation, so it seems like they take their lunch at the same time which is smart these days, not just leaving one person alone in a high-tech shop. So maybe call first if going mid-day to see when they'll be closing to taking their 30 min lunch. If you arrive and they're on lunch, there's a lot to do around while you wait. I HIGHLY recommend these kids from what I've seen so far.

I've been using my current Samsung Galaxy for a few years, and like it. It is still performing well, and I like the size, although the battery performance was starting to wane. So I went online and bought a replacement battery (OEM) for about $10 on ebay, thinking I would just install it myself. After watching some youtube videos and trying to get the back cover off, I gave up and decided to have a pro do it. I reached out to a few different places, and the going rate was about $85 for a replacement battery installed -- but of course I already had the part! The guy here, however, was willing to install my provided part, and only charged me $45 for labor (a perfectly reasonable price, after I watched those youtube videos). The phone turned out great, and the operator of the business was friendly. I'm sure I'll be back for another repair in the future. (for those who are curious, this is in the building with Agility computers; Inside the building, there is a partition separating the iPhone repair business from the computer business)

I needed a new charging port and I also got the cover for the charging port. They had a reasonable price and convenient location. Their repair guy was only there part time. At first they said they had to order it. I waited a week, then the repair guy said he had the part, I came by and he said, nope it won't work. Then they said they had to order the part after all. A little confusing, but once the part came they fixed it in about 30 minutes. More recently I ended up getting my phone wet and for some reason the new charging port cover did not work as well as the original one and the phone got wet inside, but over-all I'm a happy customer.
