They could not have been friendlier when we walked in. ALL of the employees said hi & welcomed us in. We got to look around for a few minutes and then found the area that we wanted. After looking for a few minutes a nice lady came up and helped us with exactly what I wanted. A new staff for a wall mount U.S. Flag that had a non-furling feature. My flag gets all tangled in the wind. Not any more. This was the perfect answer. BUT I have a question for some of the people that have only given this place 4 stars. One in particular said that she gave four stars only because she did not buy anything. What is that? Why downgrade a business that you enjoyed going into, only because you did not purchase anything? A new discovery for me for sure! Flags and yard flags of every kind imaginable, hundreds of products made in Nevada, books and maps on learning about Nevada, and numerous items that support our military and our veterans. I had a wonderful time shopping for gift baskets for Christmas for the family. They are many ready made and make your own baskets available. They are beautiful enough to just set under the tree with a name tag. I also purchased several types of Nevada hot sauce and salsa, Nevada candy, and of course my very favorite, Nevada honey. I had a wonderful time browsing the rest of the store with looking at the hundreds of flags and yard art flags. I even found some very cute Christmas masks. Eric greeted me when I entered the store and helped to ring up my purchases. Prices are pretty reasonable and selection is nothing short of fabulous in any area you want to search. Came into the Flag Store to grab a couple of my favorite sport teams banners to hang around the garage and luckily they had each team I wanted. They have an incredible selection to chose from and pretty much every team you can think of and any sport. Love the Wolf Pack section and apparel that had in the store. Even though the store may be called "flag & banner" that is not all the store has to offer! I first went in to get a Christmas gift and was surprised on all the local goods available to purchase. It was so neat to see so many local Reno shops having their goods being sold there. Plus I love the wind spinners (we now have bought three from them for our house)... So fun and just adds a spice of color to your yard! If you are into the history of Nevada, they also have some local books for sale. Really cool locally owned store that sells way more than flags and banners. My wife and I happen to stop in while they were doing a fundraiser for local veterans and received 15% off of our purchase for donating some cash for the cause. A radio station was there promoting the fundraiser and the announcer of the station greeted us right when we walked in. We were looking for a Nevada Wolf Pack flag and not only found a really cool one that is well made BUT it's made in Sparks, Nevada as well! So, it was a total perfect fit for us! This place has been in business over 37 years per a staff member and they had an extensive line of Nevada Battle Born clothes as well as decals of all types. Whatever you can imagine and some stuff you can't imagine this place has! There was so much cool stuff to look at from unique books on Nevada to Nevada trivia games and so on. Very friendly and have a lot of trinkets and great gift ideas. Everything seems to be made local and has a lot of Nevada pride! The people in the store are very delightful and were very prompt in assisting myself and anyone who had questions at the store. It's a great place for even tourist to get souvenirs from. They have shirts to really cute gift baskets shape as Nevada. The gift baskets vary in what they have inside them and the price is really affordable. Placed an online order for two face masks, two weeks ago. I found out they started making the facial masks from the Nextdoor app. Everything went smoothly, from the online order, to communication through email updates to the phone call I received letting me know it was ready for pick up! Perfect timing as well, picked up the masks yesterday and we wore them to the grocery store. Since they are the same design, I will have to figure out a way to mark them his and hers.. Maybe they can design with a his & hers colors in the near future? The masks are well made, a universal fit.... I first learned about Flag Store Sign & Banner through a yelp event. The store has so many cool Nevadan products. I could spend hours looking through all the items there. I wanted to print two signs for my wedding and everything online seemed very expensive for the chance that it could still get damaged while shipping. I originally had planned on printing on large cardstock, but I found that isn't all that common. I emailed The Flag Store Sign & Banner and got in touch with Eric and Dan. They were both very friendly and informative. They taught me that foam core would be my best option and even gave me some names of places that I could contact to attempt to get a cheaper cardstock if I wanted to keep looking. Although the 24 by 36 foam core sign was a bit more than I had expected ($50 each), it was a fair price when I compared to other vendors and I was happier putting the money in to a small, local business. I've added a professional photo from my photographer, but the colors were more vibrant in person. I got a lot of compliments on the signs. I had to put in one of my designs pretty last minute due to waiting on other vendors, but they were patient with me and able to get it printed quickly. Thank you Eric and Dan! Imagine a place where you go to spend your hard earned money only to find that the staff is so rude you decide to spend your money elsewhere, and also to tell all your friends to do so as well. Stopped in to look for a couple items and was treated so rudely by the lady working . I'm sure she's the owner, but you'd think if she was she certainly would treat her customers better. You know, have a little "investment" if you will. Anyhow, after she talked with me she literally turned away scoffed me. As if to say "who needs your money?" And to boot in a time when covid is keeping people inside, me and my wife actually took a chance and ventured out with the intention of supporting a local business that may need some help. Nope, left there and bought the items off Amazon and saved probably about $30.00 total. Money would have gladly given to someone who made it pleasant to do so. And did I mention she was wearing a shirt that read: "Just be Nice." Good luck, I hope you make it. In addition, they had a special set up of local goods for the holidays! I picked up some pancake mix from Great Basin and a book about Santa coming to Nevada! Super friendly. I was in the market for a flag pole and flags. I was leaning on the expandable poles that are marketed, and actually, discussed these poles with a vendor at the Reno home show last year. Although these poles were marketed to withstand high wind, I wasn't really sold on the concept. Several of my neighbors have flag poles on their property and I was referred to the Flag store, which, coincidentally, is where they all made their purchase. Well. If it was good enough for them, why waste time on research since their poles have been up for over 10 years. Due to the Covid craze, my initial contact was telephonic. The conversation was extremely pleasant and informative. There was not forced sale, the staff very cordial, and there was obvious pride about their business. So. Why not? I pulled the trigger and placed my order. The transaction was extremely smooth and a date was set for the pre to receive the pole. The day of prep arrived. Eric (installer) was on time, well equipped, and ready to dig the hole. Within less than a couple of hours (including set up and cleaning), the hole was dug, the sleeve was set, and concrete poured. Eric returned less than a week later and he had the flag pole in place and flags flying high. He was done within 45 minutes. The pole shines bright at night and flags fly proudly. Overall, I was more than pleased with the entire process and interaction. Rest assured that if you choose the Flag Store (which I highly recommend) you will receive a quality product, a quality install, and a quality experience. Although I haven't been able to visit the store because this transaction occurred during the Covid issue, I was informed that the store carries a large variety of flags. read more

I've been to this store more times than I can count. I usually go every Small Business Saturday. Last year I went at Christmas to make a gift basket full of locally made items for our new boss. He loved all of the Nevada Brining Company pickled products the Killer Salsa and Kimmie Candy Choco Rocks. Best place for local products. FYI they sell Fallon Heart of Gold cantaloupe jelly......mic drop!!! As the name states they have flags and banners! Since I purchased my new house I've needed two flags one to show off my allegiance to the SF Giants and the other to the United States. I agree with the other veteran that complained they don't give a veterans discount, even though they sell all kinds of military merchandise. They also gave us the wrong size rope and the wrong size flag clamps even though we brought examples of what we needed. Their prices are also to high. Recently, I was interested in telescoping flag poles and custom flags. I knew the Flag store did flags for the Rodeo so I figured they could take on my project. I was not disappointed Eric and Valerie were very knowledgable and showed me a number of options to choose from. I gave them my idea for the flag and shortly I received a prof to review and have them start production. In a few weeks my product was ready for pick up and know I a, able to roundly fly the Nevada Wolf Pack flag and my custom flag on an easy to use telescoping flag poles so my friends and clients can track me down easily.
