Careless with no eye on quality! I took my car to Dr. Wash and feel like I wasted my time and money. Though I paid for the upgraded "Gold Wash", I feel like it may well have been the "half-way wash". Bottom Line, when they told me my car was done/ready, it was still quite dirty. They left easy-to-see dirt and spots all over. A car wash shouldn't just give a car a whisk and a prayer and give it back to the customer dirty. The ownership needs to retrain their end of the line crew. This is my first time ever writing a negative review. As someone in a field where a negative review can do damage, I always try to avoid making a snap reaction. We have used this car wash for years without an incident. I took our minivan here for the first time today and paid $24.00 for the platinum wash. I was shocked when I came up to my car and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. Not just dog hair on everything, but dirt, crumbs and a small wrapper still on the floor of the car. The manager, while half heartedly taking the vacuum and sucking up a few areas they missed, told me that indeed this was the best clean they do, and they can't get dog hair out. I do not expect to get every hair out, but there were areas on the floor they clearly did not even attempt to reach. Clearly there has been a shift in customer service and management here. They spent half the time cleaning the car as they have in the past, and we've only ever brought a small car. And the type and amount of dog hair hasn't changed, that was mostly cleaned up in the past. Save your money and go elsewhere. I won't be returning. read more

If I could give them zero stars that would be one too many! The Asian guy (owner?) has no customer service. I went there to get the special platinum wash. After 10 minutes I suddenly remembered that I had to take my daughter for a doctors visit that I could not miss. I asked the guy in charge if I could come back. He immediately agreed. When I went back a couple of days later the Asian guy refused to finish the job. He made me out to be a liar! I will never waste my money in this shop again. Have taken all of my cars here for a while. However, when calling to get clearance information on their wash conveyor, the man who answered the phone refused to answer my question. After multiple times of asking how high the clearance is for the conveyor and him not answering, I decided to just show. My car I was driving at the time had damage on it so the man at the center told me I couldn't go through, which is fine. But when I asked if I could just pay for a vacuum, he told me they were too busy and told me to come back when they weren't busy. I believe service industries should center around the customer, not the service provider. I was willing to wait 20 minutes or so and pay for a vacuum. They just lost a customer today. read more

Paid $25 for a "platinum" car wash, I wouldn't call this clean. (See photos) Waste of money. It's cheaper to have a genuine service company detail your car rather than cheap out at a place like this. OH AND THE BEST PART, I took my car immediately to the dealership afterwards for service and there's a plastic piece of my undercarriage hanging down, obviously came from this car wash because I drove less than 5 miles from dr wash to the dealership before discovering they've carelessly damaged my vehicle. I would NEVER go here again. After they locked my keys in my car, they tried prying my door open to unlock the door. After 15 minutes, the workers were not able to do so. Since the car was in the way of the other vehicles, they decided to push the car out of the way. While doing this, they almost crashed my car into the area where they wipe off your car. All I could do is sit back in shock as all of this was happening. Finally the manager came and was very rude. After unlocking the vehicle, he didn't even apologize or acknowledge the problem. On Memorial Day I experienced the most flagrant lack of accountability or responsibility. I drove from my home at 9:00am down Rt 28 & 29 to the Dr. Car Wash 13817 Lee Hwy, Centreville, VA 20121, to have my car washed and cleaned - like I have done multiple times before over the last 5 years. As I was directed by one of the attendants, pull my car onto the guide track. As I pulled the car into position, my driver side front tire hit the guide rail. As I exited the car wash to drive it into position to have the inside cleaned, the driver side front tire went flat. Immediately, I pointed out the flat tire to the manager of the car wash - he tried to re-inflate the tire but noticed a tear in the sidewall - basically rendering the tire un-repairable. I asked the manager to reimburse me for the damaged tire - his response was that he could not do that - in his opinion the tire could not have been damaged by the machinery and the car wash was not responsible for the damage. I asked immediately to see the owner - he told me that this was a family business and I only could talk with him. I further pressed him on paying for a new tire - he declined and walked away. Finally the owner, his brother, Jung Ha appeared. I explained what happened - he asked me who was driving the car - and he stated it was my fault the tire was damaged. I explained to him that it was his machinery that damaged my tire - he again loadly asked me who was driving the car. And at that point Mr Ha walked away from me - I then asked for a refund for the car wash since it was not completed - after giving me a hard time - I was reimbursed for my car wash. I again tried to reason with Mr Ha - and explain that if his machinery scratched the finish of a car they would be responsible - he continued to angrily ask me who was driving the car when it entered that car wash and put the blame on me. I left telling myself that this incident would not go untold. I want to warn each of you of the poor customer service, accountability, and responsibility shown by Mr. Jung Ha and the Dr Car Wash team. I for one will be taking my car else where in the future. Just came back from the car wash. What a waste of my hard earned money!!! I had vacuumed my car just yesterday, and when I got in it after the wash there were specs of dirt and wet foot marks. The floor mats were thrown in and not put properly. The outside mirrors were still filthy around the entire outer edges and the interior mirror wasn't even touched. When they first opened years ago they were pretty thorough. But now they suck big time!!! $24 for such a crappy job and horrible business owners who don't give a crap but to take your money. Must be be the norm of how they run their businesses. I will forego convenience and find a better place. Can't be too hard since it can't get any worse than this place. Bottom of the barrel. We called the police but they couldn't do anything - it's a civil matter. The manager refused to do anything. What a way to run a business! Will never use them again. Paid for premium package - what a waste. I had to ask them to finish cleaning dirt off of my car. The inside was cleaned so-so. They tried to tell me some of the dirt was damage to my car. Funny, I wiped it off with my finger. I had some residue from a sticker that was placed on my car window as I just attended a funeral. They did not and would not take the residue off my window. They broke my license plate holder, and bent my license plate. They wanted to give me a cheap plastic holder with their name on it to replace mine - I don't think so. My husband called the manager and his words were "I don't need your business." I guess he doesn't as I will never go back there and do not recommend them to anyone. We own a limo service and so we get cars washed daily at other places. I will just make sure to go back to those places even if they are out of my way. This place charges premium prices for a horrible job. I usually go to Three Cees near where I live for car wash. Went to Dr. Wash first time last Saturday since I was in the neighborhood. When the car came out, there were still half dust left on wheel rim. Since I never had this problem with Three Cees, I asked the guy how he can get it cleaned properly. The guy told me to pay at least another $40 to clean it up because "you got an expensive car here" (I quote). Yeah right. Horrible... first time customer. Asked attendent how it works about paying and if I stay in the car or not. They never mentioned that I have to remove my antenna and I didn't see their tiny sign with small lettering inside. Actually my car was already going through the wash. It ripped off my antenna and broke it off inside so now I have to go and buy a whole new assembly. The child like manager said tough luck and read the hidden sign. Extremely poor job wiping the car down after it's washed. I'm a regular customer and normally don't make a big fuss when the car is still wet but this time it looked as if my car hadn't been washed after I left. A complete waste of $13. Also other car washes prior to going through the washer will have an attendant take a brush and loosen any grime on the car but not here. I still have dirt on my windows and now have to spend the time & effort to clean it myself which is what I was trying to avoid. read more

I have been going to this car wash since 2011 when I moved to Chantilly. They run it through the machine and then a lot of people jump on your car and it gets done relatively quickly. However, recently, I have noticed I have to ask them to go back and vacuum my car again. I look at the carpet and see stuff still on it. ( I pay for the GOLD WASH, which according to their price listing, includes interior vacuum). I always leave at least a 5 dollar tip in the box. This past Wednesday, April 1st, however, when I asked them to lift the little mats and vacuum under them, one of the guys told me you have to pay extra for that. Since I have been coming there for so long I thought, oh no he is just being lazy today. I go inside and I guess since it is spring break, there is a teenager at the desk. Daniel. Of course he is texting. I ask him about this policy and he tells me the same thing. They would have to do extra work to lift the mat and vacuum under it. I am incredulous. I am asking him more questions about what exactly interior vacuum is supposed to mean, and he interrupts me to start asking me for my receipt. Because, Daniel, is done with the conversation. He tries to walk in another direction around the counter as I am talking to him. I tell him, I do not want a free service, I will pay for the service, but I want the service I paid for. There is nothing on the wall that specifies the customer has to remove their mats in order for the carpet underneath to be vacuumed. There is no GOLD WASH plus "under the mat vacuuming." He continues to ask me for the receipt. As another gentlemen approaches the counter behind me, DANIEL, redirects his attention to this person. I ask him how to I contact the owner of this establishment. He said she does not like to be contacted. I said I am sure she does not want to hear that one of her employees is being rude to her customers either, I am trying to ask you reasonable questions here and you are attempting to interact with another person while I am speaking to you. So I can complain to her or I can complain on yelp. How do I contact the owner? He gives me a card and tells me you can call this number. This business card has no email. Only the website to the company and the phone number to the business. I ask, so I call this number and you answer the phone? Daniel says yes. I threw the card down. Obviously Daniel is invested in being rude and the company does not have any process in place for complaints like this. If there is DANIEL was not going to give it to me. I will NEVER take my cars there again. There is a huge difference in auto detailing and a car wash and vacuum and lifting the mat up to vacuum does not an auto detailing make. Why is there no option for ZERO or negative stars ? This place used to be good but I'm guessing there might be new ownership and they could not possibly care less about the quality of their work. Went in for a 'Platinum' wash (second most expensive)... I'm watching it come through the end of the tunnel and AFTER it has passed under the lackluster rince bar there is still foam of some kind in a number of places all over the car. I point this out to the Latino guy wearing a uniform shirt behind the counter and he proceeds to walk away - I assume he is going to tell someone to fix it. The car goes out to the line were the multitude of wipers get to work drying the car. They do their thing and it's clear no additional steps are being taken to correct the issue. I walk back inside and I ask him "So I assume you aren't going to do anything about it ?" but now there is also a Korean guy behind the counter (owner/ son of owner I'm assuming as he's not wearing the uniform shirt... ). He tells me that it's just wax and it's ok. I respond if it's just wax and it's ok why then bother with the final rinse ? He has no answer and it's clear he really couldn't be bothered. I tell him I won't be back and he says "OK." After I leave I notice that the floor mats that they took out to vacuum the carpet underneath were just placed in there, and not reconnected to the hook that holds them in place. Upon further inspection I notice that every one of the wheels still has brake dust on them. If this Dr. Wash was a real doctor he would undoubtedly be sued for malpractice. Give your hard earned money to someone else. - 1 star. read more

I was there today. I discovered a piece broken on the left rear of my car. There was a scrape in the same location on the right. None of the damage was there before. I came here because I needed my car washed for Memorial Day weekend, where my mom would be judging me by how clean my car is. They told me to armor all the entire inside would be $30- car wash not included. That's ridiculous. I could have a detail by embassy car wash for that amount. Then, not having any cash, I was told they could not add tip to the credit card. Really? So, right off the bat I'm pretty agitated, and I have to wait 20 minutes for everything? Not worth it. I complained enough, that the guy vacuumed the car free of charge. So there is that. Kudos to you, although I can not tip you for your kindness, because of your poor management's inability to charge a tip on a credit card. At embassy, vacuum comes with a car wash. In the end, they redeemed themselves by giving me a spotless car. Those guys did a great job. It is just my personal belief, it's a bit overpriced & the front desk customer service is less than stellar. read more
