Brought my hardtail in for a lil checkup. They were able to diagnose and fix a few things while noting a handful of other items that could be worked on, but were still doing OK. Giving me the option to save some money or address them as I saw fit. Great communication which has NOT been the norm at some of the shops I went to back east. When I picked the bike up (much earlier than they said it would be) they also let me know what they had done, offered me any of the parts that they had removed, and let me know htere was a 30 day period to address any concerns I had about the fixes. Again A+ communication. I'll definitely be back in the future for issues or to peruse bike related purchases. read more

Updating my previous five star. After 20+ years of riding BMX I stopped cold turkey. About a decade of low cardio and age later I found myself with high blood pressure, a few extra pounds, and my doc telling me I need to make some changes. A buddy of mine is an avid mountain biker and suggested I take a ride again and see what I thought. I picked up a decent starter Trail bike from my buddy and started riding daily. After a month or so on the FUTS and around town I progressed from pushing hard to get a couple miles to riding 20+ miles with relative ease. After 300 or so miles under my belt I started getting bored and feeling myself losing interest. It was time to use this newfound stamina to hit some trails, which is where I found my new love, singletrack. Quite quickly I found that uppercuts to the backside on my hardtail wasn't going to be a good time so it was time to upgrade to a better bike. Okay, now that that is out of the way.... Here is where Flag Bike Rev comes into the picture. During my FUTS and stamina building tenure I found I was getting lots of flats due to thorns. I headed in for yet another set of tubes and advice. Rando took care of me with the new tubes and stans (which has been fantastic, zero flats since). I found him to be super personable in that visit so I was happy to go back once it was time to start shopping for full suspension. After lots of research I found the Ibis Ripley to be my next bike so I went in to check one out. Unfortunately the only one in stock was the wrong frame size, but still worth the visit to get an idea of the feel. I was happy that I ran into Rando again. He took the time to breakdown specs (I'm still wet behind the ears, this was huge) and gave me tons of knowledge without ever being "judgy" about my lack thereof, but one huge thing stood out about Rando. Aside from these two visits I'm a stranger to him, but as I shared my story of cutting over 20# and dropping my blood pressure where my doc wants it without medication via mountain biking the past two months his eyes lit up and he met my internal excitement with a huge amount of his own. A fist bump and a "hell yeah, great job!" meant a lot to me in my journey. More than I could ever tell him in that moment. Getting back into shape has been something I've been very proud of myself for, and getting such a push of energy from a complete stranger was amazing. His excitement for my progression both on the bike as well as from a health perspective was palpable. This guy loves what he does, and he loves to share in the wins of others in the community. I can't wait for my Ripley to come in, and hope to someday be advanced enough to run into Rando on the trails. I cannot recommend Flag Bike Revolution and Rando enough. read more

I have bought great equipment there and great mountain biking apparel there and they carry great stuff! The crew there is the most amazing group of people ever that is always willing to help you and take you on! They fix any kind of bike and they are super friendly towards everybody regardless of the product! I have seen them fix up to 15,000 dollar bikes all the way down to a homeless man's bike! They have fixed my bike countless times for free and charge very reasonably if need be and carry bikes from people that have never ridden a bike to all the way pro level bikes! Wow! Amazing service! We came in for a three day ride trip and stopped for trail and food suggestions. They were super helpful. They sat down on the computer, pulled up Trailforks and helped us plan our route for tomorrow. They are clearly riders with the stoke for mountain biking. Also, they carry a nice variety of quality products. It's good to know whatever I break they can replace. I was able to pick up some Tailwind while there, and quality small parts. This bike shop is awesome! I went in thinking that I needed a bike tire repair. The guy behind the counter, I heard someone call him "Rando" was great. He took my bike right away and took a look. He even took the time to ask me exactly what happened to better diagnose the problem. Turns out I messed up a pretty simple thing and no repair was necessary. I was in and out in 15 min and they didn't even charge me. Recently I had my e-bicycle in the shop for a yearly preventative maintenance 1 and to replace a rear tire. During the service they found that three of the spokes on the rear tire were broken. The dimensions for the spokes were not standard so I had to custom order them on eBay to get them. In the meantime they kept my bike at the shop, and I kept them informed as to when the spokes finally arrived. After bringing in the spokes I had a concern about the charges. When I came in today to pick up my bike they were able to reduce the total charge on my bill by more than $30, And I was able to pay for everything at the price range that I initially wanted it. I've been looking to get active again and started looking into getting a bike. I stopped by another bike shop in town and was not asked any questions; just here is a bike I can sell you. The salesperson did not ask what I was looking for, it just appeared that they were after a quick sale. I decided to look at another bike shop and this one popped up so I went to check it out. Saturday I just went in to browse and today I went back. Rando approached me and asked if I needed help. I told him I was trying to decide so he talked to me for a while. He let me know what the best options were for me and pulled down a bike for me to try out. I took it out for a test drive and I liked it, but he pulled down another to make sure I had choices. I did appreciate it the time he spent answering all my questions and I did not feel rushed or pressured into buying anything. Great place to do business with. Fantastic service. I went in to get my bicycle looked at because I couldn't figure out what was wrong with one of my brakes. Someone came over to help within about a minute of me walking into the shop. They asked what was wrong and almost immediately were able to fix the problem. I then received some helpful tips on how to avoid said problem in the future, and I wasn't charged anything for the help I received (probably because it was a very minor issue that did not require any replacement parts). The staff were friendly and welcoming, the service was on-point and efficient, and I had a fantastic overall experience. I am a huge bike guy that has taken off a few years due to family and so on. I went to a few bike shops and was not impressed. I was not treated like royalty god damn it! I went into Flg Bike revolution looking for a Santa Cruz bike since they were the only ones to carry it. First guy that helped me out was Austin. Austin was not only knowledgeable but not only that he was personable and actually cared. He also did what other shops in Flag or really the people in Flag did not do and that was belittle me because I was not up on Mountain biking. Even though I have extensive road biking experience and BMX experience he and Adam did not make me feel like an asshole for not knowing all there is to know about Mountain biking. I appreciate that , we all started somewhere whether I started at 40 or 14, they treated me with respect and said come back anytime if I had questions. I bought my SC from them, they got it in a week and it was ready to go. They fit me for it, adjusted it and offered me free stem and bar changes if needed. Another thing, they know my name. That is crucial imo for good business. Other places could care less! ! I went into others several times. One of the sales guys there saw me at least 5 times, helped me , I know one of his friends and he knows me. Yet he does not take the time to remember my name nor care whether I am interested in a specialized bike or not! So I left and never came back and never will. The whole crew at FBR are fantastic and I will not be going anywhere else. They have a business ethic that not a lot of people in town have bikes or not. That's something I value. I know I can go in there now or 10 years from now and be treated the same. I know that just because I bought a bike 2 weeks ago that the customer service will not fade down the road. Austin and Adam are great and I thank them both for the service, advice and chat. No other shop in town bothers with making not only a customer but a friend! Ciao!! read more
