We had access to the stage, the green room, the kitchen, and more, with a knowledgeable person to run the sound and light boards for far less than you would expect. The black box theater was the perfect canvas for us to decorate to make her red carpet karaoke party a smash hit. At the end of the night, she was already asking to use the theater again next year. We will definitely be back!

The drinks are on the higher side, but similar to most places nowadays. The interior is dark, decorated in purple and black, but a nice, smaller venue to listen to music. We saw Rockstar, which sounded really good and the lead singer was quite entertaining with costume changes, etc. The venue did have some sound issues, so the band went on a little longer. We sat at high tables on the main floor, they also have seating upstairs and a dance area near the stage. A nice place to spend a couple hours with friends and hear live music.

The set up at Starr Jaycee Park is very similar to a few years back when I went with the stage set up in the middle of the park. You can see the stage pretty quickly once you pull up, and there was ample parking in the parking lot and extra on the grass field. Plus the added benefit this year of a truck with snacks and alcohol (beer and wine)! The play itself was a lot of fun and really well done. We were laughing along with the crowd the entire time. Really all of the actors were good, but the woman playing Helena was my favorite. She really brought the character to life. Since the entire area is open in the park, it is very covid friendly. We sat on the bleachers and there was enough space for us to relax. I would definitely recommend it for all to go see this weekend if tickets are still available!

Judging by last night's performance it's certainly obvious that there is much talent in the Detroit area. The acting was five star, the set was more than adequate, and the costuming was simple but effective. Many of the actors are from WSU's Hilberry Theater (another of Detroit's hidden gems) and their excellent training is apparent. All of the actors are skilled and effective. A few such as Michael Brian Ogden as Mercutio, Aaron Kirby as Friar Lawrence and Nancy-Elizabeth Kammer as Juliet's nurse are outstanding! You can bring your own lawn chairs, blankets whatever or sit on bleachers. Cushions are provided for bleacher seating. Mosquito wipes are also provided. Popcorn and other refreshments can be purchased on site. Tickets are $20 but it if you like Shakespeare this $20 well spent. Parking is limited but if you don't mind a little stroll street parking is available. This is a performance worth seeing and a theatre group worth supporting.

To be fair, this place wasn't even on my radar until recently they were hosting a screening of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari complete with live musical accompaniment. If you have never seen a silent movie presented with live accompaniment, I highly recommend you keep your eyes open and jump at any chance you get. Well, this little theater was absolutely darling! From the concession stand, that included Michigan booze, Michigan candy, and some serious hot dogs compete with sauteed onions and peppers, to the gorgeous light fixtures, and even the charming bathrooms that could have been pulled right out of a bed and breakfast magazine. The staff was friendly. Street parking was easy to find. Admission was reasonable. Acoustics were good. Seating was comfortable. Downtown Pontiac seems to be a bit of a work in progress. The theater was what drew us there. I'll certainly be on the lookout for more events in the venue. Methinks the place probably isn't on your radar, but it should be. Check it out. Make the drive. Be delighted.

There were many amenities like, a great basic variety of linen to choose from, uplighting, a fog machine(I didn't use), a grand piano( which I hired a pianist to play during my entry), full service bar with a wine cooler, ice machine and fridge and sink( with the top shelf liquor my husband stocked and the ideal bartender my guest raved over the open bar), the VIP room was great, the bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean and stocked. The space in size was great! The separate entrance for vendors was ideal. The kitchen had everything a cater would need to prep for your event even though it's no cooking on site. The owner LaDonna and husband Gerald were awesome! They made sure that everything flowed smoothly for me. The hospitality they offered was beyond being just business owners; my experience was very personable. LaDonna made suggestions throughout my planning process and I absolutely loved the ideas! Over half of my guest inquired with me for information to book an event at RSVP Event Space. I hope more people bless this lovely couple with business they are well deserving and you definitely will be pleased!

Really mixed feelings about Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle tonight…read more I bought front row tickets we arrived early and after about 35 minutes still hadn't been served food or drinks. The floor service was extremely slow and unorganized, so I finally went to the main bar myself to get drinks and snacks for our party of four. Huge credit to the guys working the main bar. They were awesome -- attentive, helpful, and completely changed the experience for me. I'm not sure if they were bartenders, managers, or both, but they deserve recognition. The host and opening comedians, however, were painfully bad. The 7:45 show wasn't very crowded, and the openers honestly made the show feel unnecessarily long. I would rather see a shorter show with one solid opener and the headliner than sit through several acts that just aren't ready for that stage. BUT -- the headliner (Greg Hahn) was AMAZING. Absolutely hilarious from beginning to end and completely worth coming for. He saved the show and reminded me why this place can be such a great comedy venue. So I'm genuinely torn. Amazing headliner and fantastic main bar staff, but terrible floor service and very weak opening acts. Tighten up the operation and the talent leading into the headliner and this would have been a completely different experience.
