Great local music venue, small intimate setting reasonable prices. We got tickets the day before our show surprisingly.

Best music venue in AMERICA! This is a very special place, and everyone should experience live music in a listening room. We have seen at least 25 shows here, and they are all amazing. The musicians all say how much they love playing here and the crowd is respectful and 'grown up'. They don't serve alcohol or food, and the shows are uninterrupted by servers or outside noise. This is a pure music experience the way its supposed to me. Check it out. read more

I finally made my way to 20 Front Street over the weekend to see Jimmie Bones and the Snakebit Wanderers play at their facility. A VERY intimate venue that seats about 90 people is the perfect place for music. There are 3 sections of 5 rows of padded pews that makes any seat the best seat in the house. Good ol' LO is really looking up! Downtown at least. I moved away 8 years ago but was back in town visiting family and checking out the shops downtown when my mother told me about 20 Front Street. I wish it was there 'back in my day'! The decor is your typical industrial rustic with a spritz of color in the cafe area. There are a variety of teas and kombacha, but being a chilly Michigan winter day, I opted for the peppermint hot chocolate complete with Godiva chocolate! They also have local freshly made ice cream (seasonal flavors). Service was really friendly and the barista was happy to tell us all about the shop and let us go explore the stage. I was really excited about the concert area. It looks like they keep the venue busy with bands coming in on the weekends. It's small and intimate with a capacity of only 100 persons. I hope next time I'm in town I can check out a show. This is a great addition to downtown LO! read more

20 Front Street is an intimate music venue. There is not a bad seat in the. building. Come early for great teas, Kombucha, coffee, and desserts. Or head down to get ice cream. Yum! You don't have to worry about someone getting drunk or smoking whatever which I really appreciate having asthma. I wish they had more food, but if you eat at Sagebrush or Rio or Fork-n-Pint in town, then grab coffee here and dessert it is just fine. They try to book fresh, new, fairly clean acts. The venue is charming and that is the only nice thing i can say about the venue. We bought 10 tickets for the Saturday show and came in after the first intermission. We were treated so rudely by the people attending the show and by the people that worked at the venue. We couldn't find a place to sit and ended up sitting up on the stage until someone would help us find a seat. We only had 6 people with us and bought 10 tickets and had no where to sit!!!!! It was a terrible evening and would never recommend this to anybody ...... we ended up leaving and didn't even see the show!!!! read more

I'm on cructches right now, and everyone at 20 Front Street was VERY helpful in making sure I could get in to the venue safely, and enjoy the event comfortably and safely! This was our first time coming here and we came to see a show so most of the review will refer to the space and overall experience. Let me start with the staff: they were very accommodating and kind. The acoustics in the space were incredible and the seating was intimate and close to the performer. If there is a performer you enjoy, you must see them in this space. I will now actively keep track of their calendar in case any musician I like is coming. The seating is repurposed church pews. The have cushions on them and are comfortable. We were in a sold out show though so you are sitting close to strangers with no separation. It's part of the experience and not uncomfortable for me. My husband was less comfortable with the spacing but that's who he is. The best part is the space is it's separate from the area people enjoy food and beverage. Everyone in the space is there to see the performer. There are no people shouting across the bar while you are trying to enjoy your favorite band. They did allow food and beverage in the listening venue which was nice. It's also a tea bar and there are baked goods and ice cream available at the creamery on a lower level. I purchased a chocolate cheesecake and a pellegrino. The cheesecake was good, not the best ever, but fine. Next time I think I would try the key lime or the homemade ice cream. Overall an excellent experience and I can't wait to go back. Ps- the town it was located in was really cute too. read more

A great venue for music lovers...the offerings range from jazz to country/Americana to blues to rock to alt to 'other'...all in a listening room environment, so sit back and enjoy the performance without disruptions and distractions. I have enjoyed dozens of shows here, and most of the time going in I'm not familiar with the act taking the stage, but I have been regularly impressed (or even amazed) at the talent on that stage. The venue folks working the music room, coffee shop, and ice cream shop all seem to understand that customer service is a priority. A great place to be! read more

20 Front Street is a tiny live music venue that has a lot of charm, fairly comfy seats, and good sound quality. The stage and decor are funky and interesting, and elevate the atmosphere into something eclectic and more urban than LO actually is. The adjoining cafe sells tea, coffee, and ice cream so that's a drawback - no booze. But, you can drink first at Wine Social just down the block. Overall, this is a great venue to discover local artists and enjoy live music in an intimate setting. read more

This place caters to the modern person who is looking to enjoy a casual place to meet friends, drink some healthy kombucha (from tap), or eat some delicious baked goods and ice cream. This place hit the nail on the head with the vibe and atmosphere they have created for their customers. The customer service is spot on. The first time we walked in we were kindly greeted by the lady behind the counter. She knew it was our first time and she didn't hesitate to give us samples or their Kombuchas.
