I have been a loyal customer since 2017. Off and on I have had the monthly subscription so I have been here during the changes and improvements. That said, the new air fresheners are not working out very well. They have a very low potency and do not last longer than a day. Please increase the potency's on the airfreshners! read more

I had no idea this company was so irresponsible. Do not do what the attendants tell you to do if it does not seem right. If they cause damage to your car, the company will not pay for it. They will make the excuse that you were driving, so it's your fault, ignoring the reasonable assumption that the attendant is not going to ask you to do something that is physically wrong. Now I realize that every time I use this "automobile meat grinder," I am risking expensive damage to my car for which I will not be compensated. Not such a good deal now, is it? I am re-evaluating who I trust with the privilege of washing my car. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was rare so it is warranted and highly deserved. I had a particularly rough day and drove up to make my payment before proceeding into the carwash. Alana noticed and went out of her way to comfort me - which is SO rare in this day and age! I rarely even get eye contact from customer service reps, but this sweet girl, Alana, went far above and beyond her job duties. She showed next level compassion and empathy to me - a complete stranger! I am a business owner and I model my practice after the principle of "relationships over business & Quality over Quantity"! Dirty towels, usually closes early, Rude staff , and as if that wasn't enough really doesn't do well cleaning the car.

This used to be a great company. It's lost the personal touch. I was a member here with multiple cars on their Unlimited Wash plan going back to when Bob Shrum (spelling?) owned it & they wiped down your car. About 2 months ago the location on Midlothian Turnpike put small scratches in the hood of my Highlander. I immediately notified the technician on site & filed a claim. I told him the scratches were minor & since the car was older I only expected someone to use some Compound Cleaner & buff it out. (If they paid someone it probably would be less than $200.) Later that night I got a call from the site manager and was told my car already had scratches according to the video he reviewed. I agreed but pointed out that I wipe my car down every time I wash it, only use Flagstop, and that the scratches were obviously recent & appeared to have been caused by something attached to the final curtain area based upon the very distinct pattern. He disagreed. I told him I had been a customer for over 15 years between the current & recent owners and had only 1 claim during that time. (This was for the Blower in Colonial Heights lifting my windshield wiper and then pushing the brackets into the windshield causing a major crack. Luckily it was obvious on the tape they reviewed and they fixed the issue. In the current instance I was bot trying to screw over them for a simple buff job to remove some minor scratches. I feel like my history of not filing claims should prove this. Regardless, the scratches weren't a major issue but my being questioned about them made me decide to leave and I pulled my 4 cars off of their Unlimited Plans with Flagstop. I now go to Sam's Xpress locations with all my vehicles. Sam's are much nicer too. They prewash your car before any soap or brushes touch them. I used to detail cars and this helps prevent scratching from the automated brushes. Additionally, unlike Flagstop, Sam's Xpress gives a multiple car discount. They also have bathrooms and vending machines on site which Flagstop does not. Lastly, like many reviews be aware that Flagstop has its technicians walking around with tablets soliciting generous reviews. I don't blame them as I imagine there is a financial incentive for them to do this since they ask you to do it and mention their name. This solicitation of specific customers artificially increases their star ratings, etc. Bottom line, there are better alternatives in the area & Sam's also has locations in a much larger geographic area (Hampton Roads, multiple locations in North Carolina, etc for those that travel in these areas. I normally wash my own vehicles. Due to the cold weather and the possibility of my hose and/or hose reel cracking due to frozen water I chose to go through this Flagstop Car Wash. What an absolute waste of time and money. After the car went through the car wash I could barely tell it had been through the car wash. I will never go to this car wash again. The only recommendation I can give is don't waste your time and money by going to this car wash. read more

I would normally go wash my truck a minimum of twice a month and sometimes up to 4-5 times a month, only at Flagstop car wash (Chester location) - I had their unlimited membership. Once I noticed the paint chipping off I cancelled my annual membership. I finally got around to getting the paint repair estimate and it was $1200!!!!! I hate doing this review because I love the business model they have and knew the original owner but I am really upset with the damage caused by their carwash to my relatively new 2018 Suburban. Great carwash and friendly staff, but consumers need to be aware of the potential paint damage, even on newer vehicles. read more

GO TO CARPOOL! Don't waste your money here. We came here, an hour out of our way, because we used to have a subscription here. The subscription included an exterior wash, interior wipe down and vacuum. That subscription was for as many washes as you wanted per month for $39.99. We came today and paid $18 for one wash (the most expensive) assuming (yes, I know what assuming does) it would include the same. NOPE! They provide you vacuums to do it yourself. Rags to do it yourself. Only liquid for washing your windows and hot your interior. Do you have rubber mats inside your vehicle? You're screwed. You can't use their mat cleaner. The $18 wash left our rear windshield still filthy. I understand why the bed of the truck didn't truly get cleaned but still disappointed. If you want a full service wash, go to Carpool. I went to get my car detailed after buying a package online prior to taking a road trip. The guys did a terrible job, and only spent about 10 minutes on the interior. 15 minutes max. With the exception of visible vacuuming, it looked the exact same as when I took it in, none of the surfaces had been touched, and I finished cleaning it myself once I got home. Very unhappy with the service. I could've saved the money and done a better job myself if I had had the time. read more

If you're going to pay someone to clean your car, you'd think they'd pay an exceptional attention to detail, right? Well, not so much in this case. I have been to this location twice, both times I have left disappointed. I am such a neat freak, no shame in that, but I expect when I pay someone to clean my car that they'll do a better job than I could do myself. I paid to get my seats clean, they were not properly shampooed, you could still see my Husky's dog hair on he floor (even though I had to pay an extra $5 for dog hair removal, which I've NEVER even heard of.), and last but not least, I noticed additional scratches on my car, that I know for a fact were NOT there. If you do decide to go to this location, definitely check your car before & after. read more

Got "The Works", as I always do. In the past I never really had a problem. Today when I pulled in, the guy seemed less than enthused to be there. Took a while to put my car through, and a line piled up behind me. I went in, paid, and put $5 in the tip jar. They were very quick with the car and considering it's an SUV, I knew something was off there too. Sure enough, I get in, and the dashboard hadn't been touched, cup holders and center of the car wasn't touched, and neither were the doors. I said "excuse me" and a guy named Ricky came over. I nicely explained that the inside wasn't touched. He apologized, proceeded to clean the inside all by himself and did a great job. I tipped him another $5 (wishing my original tip wasn't going to anyone else). Thank you Ricky got quickly fixing the issue! read more

So apparently when i paid for full service and floor matts, they only did the outside and must have cleaned the floor matts with dirty water. not coming back. They did not clean the dash, the cup holders, vac the floor or anything. They didn't even lock the floor matts back into place. I still had a small piece of a dead leaf on the floor, and dirt and hair on my carpet. Look at my "cleaned matts". Never coming back. I included my paid receipt so you can see i took the images after. Also, they have you come out and look that its ok. But its dark like a cave under the overhang and they don't have the lights on. So you cant see the filth until you get home in the light. I spent 10 minutes and was able to rinse off the dirty matt and wipe out the dirty console areas. I did not vacuum as I don't have an outside one so I guess I will pay 50 cents at a gas station and do it myself. read more

I bought into the unlimited car wash package the first time I went there. That wasn't a truly exceptional experience but I thought maybe it was just a one time ting...NOPE! Today I went back to get a carwash, using my unlimited "membership". The lane I was in, there are two, was blocked by a man who needed help for ten minutes to get the gate to open so he could drive through. The attendant stood there chatting with him while I waited behind his car and he waived 89 cars through in the other lane. When it was my turn to go the gate would not open and did not recognize my membership. I honked for an attendant to come help after several minutes and he waive 4-5 more cars through from the other lane. In short, membership at Flagstop means nothing once they have your money. I do not recommend this car wash. read more

I google mapped the nearest "do it yourself" carwash, and I am totally bummed that I went ahead and spent my money. Especially since I am currently unemployed. Not only did it cost $10 to drive my car through the automated carwash bay, but then I had to spend another $3 to use the vacuum. Last week, I took my friend's car to a competitor on the other side of town, and not only was it cheaper ($9), the automated car wash had a lot more components, and I did not have to operate the car while going through it. On the other side, his car was spotless and dry, and the vacuum was free for as long as I needed to use it. My car on the other hand, was dirty along the bottom, and on the hood. I asked the attendant to take a look, and she agreed it was still dirty. I asked her for my money back, because I was going to have to take it somewhere else to get it looking clean and spotless. The best she could offer me is another free car wash. I responded "why on earth would I want to waste my time?" Extreme rip off, and I will never go there again. I will drive across town to the competition and get it done right the first time. I am totally upset!! read more

I was at the Iron Bridge location today and got the full service wash. When we were walking back to my car, I handed the gentleman my ticket and a tip. Once we got to the car I noticed it did not look vacuumed. He said they tried, but it was imbedded in the carpet. Once I got in I noticed my seats had not been vacuumed either and my cup holders and center console had not been cleaned. I got someone's attention, his name was Jason, he re-did my interior. I overheard the original person say the vacuum wasn't working and they had tried to fix it. This after he told me the stuff in my floorboard was imbedded. They knew the vacuum wasn't working and still rolled me out, without moving my vehicle to another row and using another vacuum. Jason did an excellent job helping me, re-cleaning my vehicle and is the only reason I am giving a 3 star. The original cleaning would have got a 1 star. And, the dishonest answer of why my 2019 vehicle looked like it hadn't been vacuumed would have got a "0"..... read more

Hadn't washed the Lex since the snow last month and it needed it bad, so i took it to Flagstop detail to get it waxed and buff. 49.99. The guy said it would be about 90 min. ( it was crowded) so i waited. Went to wawas to get a coffee and donut while i waited. Car was finished in a hour and 10 min. The detailer did a great job. Will return for a wax. read more

I went there today as I always have and this visit was a total let down my car got washed but I wasn't asked what wash I wanted and then to make things worse when my car was done it wasn't clean the inside was not cleaned at all even though I asked for it to be. And when I asked for a manager granted he tried to make it right but even after a second clean out of the inside it still wasn't right so I asked for my money back I did get that back but I was more disappointed in how they did their job, I saw a rag hit the ground and one of the people there just picked it up and tossed it with the rest of the rags to be used on other cars. I used to love this place but their quality has gone out the window. Today, and the last 2 times I went for a car wash it looks like all they did inside was vacuum. I always have to ask them to wipe down the console and they still leave it dirty. Windows still had bird poop on them and lots of dust on doors. Compared to other places I've lived, always feel less satisfied, largely because of the workers' thoroughness, as well as the what I believe to be the very high cost. I have been here twice, both times with mediocre to okay results. The first time I took the truck and thought they had done an okay job until I returned home and saw the results in the sun light. The entire truck had brush marks on the side what the brushes missed. The inside of the truck was pretty clean, vacuumed well, and all the dust wiped off. Yesterday I took the car and again thought it was a good job until I got home. I would rate the car as an 80% of what I would do at home in about an hour. There was still bugs on the front of the car, and again the side of the car had brush marks. What they completely missed though was the windows. Maybe my dad taught me better, I always square the window when I clean them. First I go around the outside and then do the middle. It looks like they cleaned the middle of every window, completely missing the edges inside and out. I am still new to the area so I can't compare it to the others yet, but the two trips here didn't win me over. I'll try ALL the other places before returning. read more
