Always was happy with Tommy's but when my wife took her car in for the Works wash, looks like only about 40% of the salt and dirt was cleaned off and tire shine did not work as well as usual. I called and the employee was very nice and told me once she left the site, they could not do a rewash. I understand policy but explained she had no idea until I saw it when she came home. some policies could be bent but oh well. read more

I am very disappointed in this location. There drive constantly stops while you are going through the wash. I didn't think anything of it until I drove RIGHT ACROSS THE ST to Big Lots and when leaving my car I noticed it was not all the way clean due to the car wash stopping in the middle of wash. I called immediately to see If i could ride thru again since it was still within 10 min of my wash..and due to me leaving the premises they said I was unable to. I explained how the wash stopped a few min prior when I was in there and also said they could check my account which is automatically charged in there drive thru and still they would not honor it. I would recommend if you are in the wash and it stops (it does this multiple times a day) then drive back thru a 2nd time to make sure your car is clean. read more

I've been wanting to come to one of these for a while! They feel like a Richmond staple to me (especially with the fun holiday events they have). I had high expectations. I hadn't been inside a car wash since I was a child so I was excited. The cashier was so sweet. He answered all my questions and was patient with me. However, when it was my turn to go into the wash the lady who guided me in was extremely rude and abrasive. I had forgotten to close my window (silly mistake) and before entering she yelled angrily at me to close it. I also had a hard time getting on the proper track and she kept yelling and rolling her eyes at me. I understand she might have been having a bad day and I may have been making a silly mistake, but this was my first time driving my car into a car wash. I was unfamiliar with what I was doing and got in trouble for not knowing. This would've been 5 stars for me had I not left feeling bad. read more

Took the upsell for unlimited washes! I moved a little too far away to use often enough so I canceled my subscription but would happily pay the full price. Loved the speed, friendly staff, the self cleaning station was great, for $3 you get 2 air fresheners, window cleaner, shammy, and an interior wipe. read more

I wanted to go to a different location to see if my results would be the same. Customer service was friendly and I paid $18 for the works. It didn't get my car fully clean, so that was very disappointing. I think they need to add workers that wash your car down before entering then things may be better service. Will I return, only if I can't find a place that has a only hand wash. read more

Our first time visiting, and it's not the worst car wash, but not really worth the price. The cashier was a very sweet guy, and pretty helpful, but we paid $15 for the "Ultimate" car wash, which included a rainbow coat, a 3 level wheel clean, and like three other things. The car seemed clean afterwards, but the tires looked the same. The vacuums were definitely mediocre. The place down the street has better vacuums for a third of the price. Lastly, they have what looks like teeny "detail kits" for $5 a pop. Honestly, they should be free, or like, $1, especially with the hefty price for basically a regular degular car wash. Definitely regret cheating on my regular car wash with Tommy's. If anything, just get the basic car wash for $10. read more

In December 2021, I decided to bring my car into Tommy's on the corner of Hull Street Road and Courthouse Road. I was very pleased with the result of "The Works" . Apparently, I was incorrect in assuming I purchased one month of free washes with a purchase of "the works." In actuality, the charge was recurring monthly when I checked my February VISA statement. I panicked because I had not been back to Tommy's since mid-January. When I called, Jessica, the Manager at the Hull Street location was amazing. Jessica kept her promise and reversed the charges in two business days. I returned today and purchased the works again, but, Jessica was there with a big smile and a "happy to be of service." I am committed to being a Tommy's customer and am so very pleased that a young manager kept her word and was every bit a true professional I'm hooked. Thanks Jess! Peter read more

I have never used a car wash before. I have always washed by hand. Will was at the window and helped explain everything to me and overall was a big help. It's a new place so I thought I would give it a try. The pros: The vacuums were good and the mat cleaner is free. I paid for the ultimate wash. There was no one scrubbing the front of the car for bugs before going into the wash. The machine takes you through the wash very quickly. I've never gone through one so quick. Lol sadly, when I came out my vehicle was still dirty. ( mostly bugs on the front and my tires) There are no complimentary rags or towels to dry the car after the wash. I'm a regular at Sam's express car wash. They do a great job for the same price with a few extra plus a free wash within 4 days as well as discounts on gas. I think these things would be easy to fix and could truely benefit the company and more importantly the customers. read more
