We had a 40th birthday party there today, there were 20 of us and 9 of them were kids between ages 2-16. Everyone had a great meal, lots of choices for all ages. We were in one of the party rooms and our Server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. His name is Johnson Lee and he made the birthday girl a special dessert display, led the Happy Birthday song and made sure he took pictures of our group with our phones. What a great buffet! I came here on a Sunday when they have the all day deal for $11.99. The food was tasty and had not been sitting out all day. They had a great variety of food and you never had to wait long for a food tray to be replenished. On the day of my visit they even had sushi as a part of the buffet deal! There was also a hibachi line separate from the buffet. This is a fantastic buffet. Went for dinner a few nights ago and not only was it clean but it was affordable and the selection was fantastic. Oysters, cocktail shrimp, chilled mussels, crawfish, crab legs (the small ones, not snow crab unfortunately) and lobster along with your typical chinese buffet fare. The sushi was good as well. The reason for the deduction of a star is because there was no one doing hibachi (not that I wanted it but, I'm sure there was someone there that wanted it) and also, the waiter had 1 job to do....keep my glass full, and get the used plates off of the table. After finishing my first plate I put it towards the edge of the table and went to get another plate, came back the dirty plate was still there. Ok, maybe the waiter is busy with his WHOLE OTHER 3 tables. At one point we had 5 or 6 plates stacked up before they were removed. Went here for dinner last night and it was really good. I absolutely love how clean this buffet is compared to others in the area that was a huge plus for me. I also like the variety of food they have to offer. The food is pretty good, my only complaint was the lo mein was a little salty. I also liked their dessert choices. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and selection. Saying I love sushi would be an understatement and while this place isn't the best I've had, it was not typical buffet sushi (you know, mostly Rice, etc.). My mom had lobster and said it was a bit dry from sitting out, I went up and got a fresh piece. Buttery deliciousness. Black pepper crab, thumbs up. The general tsaos could be a touch spicier, but I'm from NOLA, so...yeah. they even had coconut chicken! Never had that before. All this for less than $15 for diner... You can't beat this place! Food was fine, no complaints there, your normal Chinese Buffet kind of food. Nothing to write home about but good. The problem was when we were given the check. I don't know how most people are, but unless the "waitress" (table busser) is outstandingly kind or amazing, I don't normally tip very much at a buffet. You get your own food, they just have to worry about your drinks and taking plates. So I planned to leave a few bucks in cash on the table before leaving, but when she gave us our cards back and we had written 0.00 in the top section, she looked at us and said, "No tip for your waitress?" And we kind of just sat there quietly and then I spoke up and said I was going to leave cash. And then she proceeds to stand there and wait for me to give her the cash. Then I pull out my wallet and don't have a 5 like I thought and only had a 20, so I start to put my wallet away. And she says, "I can make you change." And I said, "It's ok" And she says, " I'll make you change" and stands there again, practically not letting us leave unless we give her something. It kind of just ruined the whole experience, regardless, we weren't expecting much, but a rude bus-girl demanding us to give her more money, that's just not right. Let me start with the bottom line - this place is good for the price. Mongolian grill - not bad, but nothing special. Sushi - the rolls are good. But the sashimi is terrible - it is frozen tilapia from a plastic package. That was a major turn-off. Lobster - not the fresh, boiled lobster you are used to! When we arrived we had no clue what kind of buffet it was...had no idea it was an Asian/american cuisine. The inside was very clean, spacious as well as having a wide variety of food to choose from. However, upon entering we were greeted by the hostess who was chewing food, with her mouth open as well as speaking to us while she was chewing. If that wasn't enough, the music that was playing was rap music, complete with an abundance of curse words. Thankfully my children were not present. I went here with my husband and 1yr old on 2/29/2016 the food was horrible. The vegetable lo mein was sitting in a pool of grease, the sesame chicken was in a watery sauce mix, teriyaki chicken was dried out and hard, chicken nuggets were undercooked...just horrible. The hibachi area was unattended and the food was as usual open and exposed but just looking at it the uncooked lo mein noodles were dryed out, the meats were brownish looking...the quality of this place has gone downhill. To wrap up this review, all of us have the signs and symptoms of food poisoning...upset cramping stomachs, diarrhea and vomiting. Never going back again. The table was sticky. I got my grandson a plate of chicken nuggets mac & cheese and steak fries WAS COLD. Apple juice was $1.99 a med size too much for a 2 yr old. Some food was good I have more Chinese food some of the meats were hard not good to chew food was lukewarm. I end up spitting my food in a napkins and put on the plate. We have been going to this buffet since last June ,usually on a Friday. We recommended this restaurant to everyone we know. We felt it was the best Chinese buffet we had ever been to. It gradually started to change over the past several weeks. This past weekend we went with two other people, and it was the worse ever. The lobster which was always great, was obviously being held back in the kitchen. We were there an hour before we even got any, but it was so dry, that we couldn't eat it. Not only did it take an hr. to get some. but the tray they filled was at least half the size. They also stopped serving the regular size steamed clams. They now serve the tiny manila clams, but the sauce is so salty. We will regret not going back. read more

My wife and I along with some friends were looking very forward to going to the buffet last night to say goodbye to a coworker that is leaving today to go back to Puerto Rico. We had been to the restaurant a few times since they have opened and have enjoyed the food and the service has been adequate. Last night however was a different story.We arrived and were seated by a gentleman from the podium.Our waitress took our drink order and left,a few minutes later she returned and set all of the drinks on the end of the table and left.We had to pass them out ourselves.We asked the waitress when she returned to not put everyone on the same check and and she said okay.She then left and we saw her very few times throughout the meal and that was to pick up the dirty dishes.We had to actually grab her when she was at other tables to even get a drink refilled.At the end of the meal several of us wanted coffee and as had been the case during our dinner she was not around. We saw the person that had seated us and asked him if the restaurant had coffee.The waitress returns with one cup of coffee and leaves without asking anyone else if they wanted coffee or anything else to drink. When we managed to get her attention again we asked her to get the manager.The manager came to the table and would simply not understand that we were trying to tell him that we were unhappy with the service,he only wanted to tell us that this was a buffet and that we shouldn't expect good service because the waitresses are very busy. He had brought our bill with him and even though we had asked our waitress for separate checks all of us were on the same bill.He took a while to understand who should be charged for what but he finally got it and brought the checks back to the table and left. We payed our bills and noticed that they had tacked on the 18% automatic gratuity even though we had spoken to the manager at length about our very poor service. On the way out the door the manager tried to further get his point across to us about how we shouldn't expect good service from them when they are busy.I came to the conclusion that this manager knows absolutely nothing about customer service and that we will not be returning to this restaurant. Whether the restaurant is busy or not should not change the level of customer service that we should as paying customers receive and or expect. read more

This place has a wide variety of food but every single time I go here the food is just cold. I understand it's a buffet the food is left out there. I swear though that the food would taste like it was in a fridge. I very much enjoy the sushi bar, very nice assortment of sushi but obviously sushi is supposed to be cold. At the end of the day I went home with an upset stomach and diarrhea so I will probably not even waste my time coming here again. I have been here many times. The first time I was seriously impressed but as I go back each time the quality seems to be decreasing. They have now included "lobster" on the menu. Don't get excited - it's usually just the knuckles and good luck actually getting any lobster meat out of that! Especially with no crackers to get them open! Their sushi is awful. I put a piece in my mouth and had to spit it out - I believe it was frozen. Also the pieces are sliced so thin they are transparent. The black pepper chicken used to be good but is now nothing but deep fried batter. The ladies room was disgusting. The staff seems to concentrate on getting you in and out not providing service. There is a lot of food if you are interested in quantity, but I prefer quality and it's seriously lacking here. I'm disappointed because I brought my mom here - no stairs, easy in, easy out. it is a very decent buffet, with an awesome hibachi, the food is usually hot and fresh and not old. never often had under or over cooked food their. if anything they are slow to restock foods. the crab and lobster in particular is bit of disappointment, because they over cook it and hardly any meat in them, the lobster, is way over cooked and seasoned with gunk, usually have to fight others for crab and lobsters, since most people are selfish there and take 6-7 pieces once the tray gets placed. but the food in general is great and is much more varied compared to new burgh buffet. the sushi is good and freshly made and you even watch them make right in front of you, also they have many varieties rather then just 3 types and one of them being Californian rolls. the service is pretty decent, but they could be more attentive, with taking dirty plates and offering refills, when cups are nearly or our completely empty., they also sometimes mix up drink orders when you ask for sprite and get water instead, or coke and instead get tea. the severs are pretty nice though and are not pushy about you leaving and paying the bill and they DON'T ask for a tip like new-burgh buffet does. now whats a shame is that don't have a soft sever ice cream machine and just have frozen blocks of ice cream goodies. they are very nasty if you eat a ice cream bar or ice cream anything when leaving the buffet, which is stupid since if you pay why does it matter if you take a ice cream outside. overall the buffet is keep clean and organized and is well lit and not gaudy looking on the inside. i would recommend eating, here, it has flaws, but its strong points cover them pretty well, worth the price admission. read more

Went here on labor day. I guess they were having a special with lobster (cut up, in the shell) with some sort of sauce and soft shelled crabs. The lobster was shriveled up bits of leather in the shell (we got it as it first came out). Shortly after we noticed 2 people standing there waiting for the next batch (there hadn't been much), they waited the ENTIRE time we were there and were still waiting when we left. We came right as they were switching lunch to dinner so it wasn't that busy, but they kept filling the stuff that had plenty, like the fried foods, instead of the pans that had none, like the ribs. The food didn't impress me at all. I like sushi, and their sushi bar was huge, but I like sushi with avocado. They only had one kind out of like 20 with avocado and it was only the impression of avocado (a paper thin slice smaller than a dime). And their duck sauce is the worst! Also it was a brand new place and their were already stains on the carpet. All those people who said how clean it was, well that's because it's new. Won't be nice for long if they don't get rid of the stains. We will not be returning. read more

I feel compelled to write a review to counter the bad reviews. Now it's possible my next visit could be not so good, but my first visit was very good. Nice clean restaurant. Big booths. Big restaurant!! VERY nice selection of mainly Chinese food, with some American dishes and Japanese sushi (and probably other Japanese items I didn't recognize). Selection of sushi is admirable and quality is very good for a buffet. I didn't do the hibachi bar, but it looked clean and they had lots of things to put on your plate to be grilled. Good, friendly service overall, though they did not refill our hot tea kettle despite it being near the edge of the table. ~$11.99 for dinner is a good deal!! Going to this new place with high hopes - immediately put off by the dirty dishes and the dirty tables - without exception every single dish we tried was made with very poor ingredients, stringy beef, awful chicken, etc. The taste was only of low grade oil - almost no taste of the ingredient itself - we could not find one thing we liked and we tried almost everything.
