This restaurant is distasteful and horrid. I don't eat out often and without many funds or options I settled on MingTown via delivery. The man who delivered my food was rude and hassled me for a tip, practically pushing his way into my home to do so. The food didn't smell well. One of my orders had pork fried rice despite my request for brown rice. I cannot consume pork for religious reasons so this was distressful. Not to mention my friend and I had extreme gastric pain and was in and out of the bathroom for about 11 hours because the food was bad quality. I encourage any reader to take their money and time elsewhere. Rest assured a bad experience at another restaurant will be better than a bad experience with MingTown. So I've seen some terrible reviews and I just don't get it. They are super polite (including the children) and the place is clean. I don't order the same thing since I really love Americanized Asian food I started to order the crab rangoon and I'm so happy with it. Try it all! Chicken wings, spring rolls (loooove), combination platters.. I'm saying though... I really love Ming Town Go for it. You won't be disappointed. You don't find Asian restaurants like this one much. read more

personally I don't understand a 2 1/2 stars for this place moved up to Chester a year ago and tried several Chinese restaurants in chester and this has been my go to spot for a whole year I work in Manhattan and I've been to several Chinese restaurants five star high class And ming town is right up there along with them. I've tried everything on their menu and I must say there was not one thing that I was not satisfied with tons of flavor food was always serve hot the service was great my favorite is there garlic sauce on the side that I request for any order I order. I cant begin to express my level of disgust with ming town in Chester. After my  food was ready, they made me wait 15 min. I paid, I left, and we went home to eat. The dumplings were disgusting. I took one bite, spit it out. Whatever, not the worst thing. But then we found hair in 2 different dishes, at which point i called them, completely grossed out. They told me they'd remake it, I said no. I dont want food from them. So I brought back the containers, and they refused a refund, because we "ate half of it". I tried to explain that we had served 3 plates and then scraped them into the garbage. He tried to give me 20 out of 47 back, after arguing for TWENTY MINUTES with me about where the hair and food were. So I went home. Scooped the food out of my trash, brought it back and asked for my money. He insisted again, where is the hair. Am I meant to scour my garbage can for 2 tiny pieces of hair? I brought them back 3 UNTOUCHED dishes and they refused. I told them I wasnt leaving without my money, they could call the cops, and the guy said "you want me to call the police? I will!" I told them to go right ahead, I was gonna sit and wait right there until they gave me my money or the cops asked me to go. They said that it wasnt their problem, and who was gonna pay for it if everyone brings food back. I said this is YOUR business so it is YOUR problem! It would be a NON issue if your cook wore gloves or a hairnet! Easy solution- don't serve food with hair in it!!! This wouldn't have been such a big deal if they didnt blame me and refuse a refund for food I didn't eat. I am completely disgusted by their disrespect and poor manners. Wings were overcooked in the fryer, man they were dry and flavorless. Pork fried rice, for Pete's sake put some pork in it and the rice was bland! This has to be one of the worst Chinese restaurants that I've been to, next to the one at Woodbury Commons. After getting numerous fliers, I thought I'd give it a try, but there wasn't one dish that was done to my taste. We ended up throwing out most of the food and cooked that night. It was disgusting. I drive semi truck with a 48ft trailer, I spent close to $20 on a meal to be delivered to me 1.9 miles from the Chinese Restaurant. It took driver an hour and a half to deliver me the food. Then there's no utensils, fork, spoon, nothing so I called in and told the guy I wasn't given anything to eat my dinner with and he said it'll take the driver an hour to get to me again. Then I asked him for a manager and he claimed he is the manager. So I asked if I could just have my money back because by the time driver got here my food will be cold and I don't have a microwave he said yes if I drove there. I explained to him I can't drive there I'm in a semi, there's no semi parking and he hung up on me. I called back and no one would answer the phone. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Yesterday was my birthday, so I ordered delivery. When I ordered, I got over 15.00 so I could qualify for delivery. I was told " not enough, need twenty". Okay, so I ordered some lo mein. I said "what is the total" and he told me 23. Okay so I go to the door and he says 25.00. Now I'm getting ticked, but okay all I had left for a tip was three dollars. Pretty good chinese food, I'm pretty simple when it comes to things like pizza/chinese I went in, placed my order, and about 30 minutes later it was ready, no fuss, no disappointment. All the food in the bag was correct, so I didn't have to go back, and the price was right. I disagree with the negative reviews of this place. I'm born and raised in NYC, and finding this place so close to home was a great relief. It is very good Chinese food. If you're looking for a place comparable to any decent Chinese food restaurant found in the five boroughs, this will do nicely. Prices aren't bad at all and they haven't missed an item in my order yet (and I've probably ordered from here a dozen times so far). This has become a go-to spot for me and my wife, especially when we have family over from the city. I've tried all the classic dishes: General Tso's, sesame chicken, orange chicken, chicken and broccoli, spare ribs (boneless and regular), fried dumplings, beef on a stick, and a few others- all were great. I ordered shrimp lo mein and I found hair and metal in mine. I had it delivered and it was about 45 minutes late. It was also really expensive. It was way more than I thought it would be.
