Normally I would not go for a flaming margarita, that's just not my style. But my wife and I were having a special and sadly rare night out as we have little ones. Our experience was top notch. The margarita was a bit expensive but absolutely worth it. Presentation was excellent and the drink was perfect. We had several tapas plates, they were all excellent. We had the patatas bravas, chicken and waffles (best I've ever had) and sliders. The sliders were a bit overcooked but this was not enough to put a damper on the meal. We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Flaming Margaritas. The food arrived cold and was mediocre at best, especially considering the prices. The service was practically nonexistent from start to finish. The worst part was the appetizer arriving 35 minutes after our meals were already served. First of all our waiter took a long time to get to us and we were not given menus. The place was not that busy. But No worries at that time. We finally got our menus and decided to get a margarita. We just wanted regular margaritas--no flame necessary. He asked us what size. We thought okay we said medium. We noticed on the menu it said +13. But because there was no base price listed we assumed it was $13 each. Keep in mind we never said we wanted a flaming margarita. Our waiter never explained pricing. The margaritas came out flaming. We then thought I guess that's all they have. $13 was a bit pricy but we thought okay. But then we got the bill we found out they were $28 each!!!!!! WTF!!! My husband who never goes without tipping still tipped. I would not have. Walking in, we were overwhelmed by the fun and vibrant atmosphere. The host seated us immediately and we saw several flaming margaritas on our way to our table. The menu offered a couple dozen margarita flavors and I chose the Chili Mango. It was a beautiful and yummy slightly thick drink. I ordered the Mojarra Fish, which was served crispy fried with fluffy rice and cheese-topped broccoli. It was an authentic experience--be sure to flip it over and enjoy both sides. So, I have to say that while it was fun to get my drink on fire.. all in all the experience was a little off and weird. I WILL say that the food was excellent! We got the chimichanga and it was super flavorful and the meat was super moist. So, no complaints there! Now for the awkward.. the atmosphere is just weird... the servers are all dressed black tie, but the restaurant has a typical Mexican restaurant vibe.. but wait.. there's also a disco ball.. and a TV running ads of some sort for the restaurant. And for the bad. The server acted like he was annoyed we were there in his section, and the margaritas are SUPER expensive. And they are fun because you can create your own flavor mixes (I got strawberry kiwi, but couldnt taste a ything but strawberry, so who knows what i actually got) We got the mediums ($30 a piece) because they make a big deal of how you can take it to go, but we woke up the next morning with major headaches (and we only drank about 1/4 of each one) so, thinking that they're not worth the cost because they had to have been made with super cheap tequila. Was in the mood for Mexican food on my trip to Branson and this place was less than 3 miles from our hotel. The dining area has a very open floor plan so not very intimate but still nice. The prices on the menu were a wide range from reasonable to pretty expensive and I noticed no price was listed for the margaritas. I ordered a medium pineapple coconut margarita and it was BIG not sure much actually tequila was in it since it tasted like juice, I couldn't even finish it but they allow you to take it home in a to go container. It looked cool cause when it's brought out it's on fire! But beware this margarita was $27.99! The chips were not my favorite they were thick and maybe a little stale and the salsa reminded me of marinara mixed with salsa. Their hot salsa was pretty good and I liked it mixed with the other. The grilled chicken chimichanga was ok, nothing special but my burrito bowl was DELICIOUS! The steak was so juicy and flavorful, the rice and beans were perfect, the pico tasted fresh and the guacamole was good too. Our server was really nice and he was helpful with suggestions and seemed to care that we enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely come back for the burrito bowl and the service was good. We visit Branson often, have seen this restaurant and always said we need to try it. We got there and it seemed very busy. This week has been one of the busiest times we've seen Branson recently. Lots of large parties everywhere. We decided to go in and try it. We were seated immediately. It is an older remodeled restaurant. It is HOT in Branson right now, but it was very comfortable in the restaurant. Even with hot food and lots of people; it was comfortable. It did take a bit to get our drink order, but there were multiple parties seated at the same time, so no big deal. We ordered and then waited a long time for our food. We finally asked who happened to be the owner, if we could just pay for the questioner ordered and cancel the rest. He came right over, asked for a couple minutes. He came back with our food, apparently there was a mix up with our food ticket. He immediately said, there would be no charge, but he wanted us to get dinner. He was very kind and apologetic. So, even though it wasn't the best experience, he took care of it, and turned it into a better situation. No excuses, just apologized and fixed it. That was great customer service and much appreciated. The food was good. Next time, I would get fajitas. They were cooked just right. All the food comes out in a pretty presentation. I did not try any of the flaming drinks. It was too hot, just needed lots of water. But they were fun to see all around the restaurant. You can feel the owner cares about his restaurant and his patrons. I would suggest visiting this restaurant next time you visit. I'm sure there is something you would enjoy. read more

The flaming sugar cube is a neat trick and cool draw to the restaurant but the margarita also fell flat for me. It just didn't taste fresh and their small is 20 oz...way more than I can drink. And they are filled super full so that they're spilling everywhere coming to the table. Service however was great - our waitress was very patient with us as we chose what to order. We substituted tequila for vodka and they were AMAZING! For our entrees I ordered the birria quesadilla and my husband got the birria chimichanga...OMG... that was the BEST birria we have ever had! The meat was tender and moist and the flavor was out of this world! The portions were large and they did not skimp out on the meat! We ate until we were about to explode haha! The music, the way the waiters dressed and the restaurant just didn't match. Guys in black vests with white shirts and ties while listening to Mexican music didn't match. We had two meals (chicken chimichanga and fajitas trio for one with all waters to drink and a cheese dip) and it costs $61.00 -The salsa at first tasted like it came from a jar that had been spiced up, a little spicy. -The cheese sauce is outstanding! Very creamy and a great flavor. -The chimichanga had chunks of chicken and had cheese in it and creamy cheese on top of it, pretty big size. -The trio fajitas for two was steak, chicken and shrimp with onions and green peppers. Was given a choice of either flour or corn tortillas, we chose the flour, which are very small in size. Steak was cooked well, chicken good and the shrimp still had the tail left on and we had to cut it off. Waitress Sofia came to me as I was still eating and he handed me the check and told me she would be right back for the payment, I did not like that, we felt rushed, I was still eating! Well, sure enough she was right back at our table asking me for our payment, she just stood there watching me eat and I grabbed my wallet and handed her a card as we were rudely interrupted while I was trying to enjoy my meal. I have never been asked this while eating my lunch at any establishment. Ever. Seems she was afraid of people eating and walking out without paying? Not sure. But it was uncalled for.
