At first when I checked online, I couldn't find the open times until I realized they serve breakfast lunch & dinner. I thought I had to make a reservation - online said there was no available times but when I called, they said we would be seated with no wait. That was all a bit confusing at first but that's okay because 1 phone call figured itself out! When we got there we were immediately seated. The menu is definitely like a diner with American food staples. My husband and I got the burger. I got the single patty and for the price we paid, I should've got the double. We both got french fries for our side. Any other sides were $3-4 and specialty sides were over $6, which is a little outstanding to me. The appetizers were also $12-$15 so we opted out of them. We got waters because we had drank soda all day but drinks were over $3. The burger and fries were honestly so good! I just wish I had gone for the double patty to get the most bang for my buck. They did charge us like a dollar for cheese on it which was actually insane to me. I've never had that experience. For dessert, we got the brownie sundae and peach cobbler. My husband loved the peach cobbler and cleaned his bowl out! I really loved my brownie sundae BUT there was a TON of fudge on it- like mounds of it. I just wasn't expecting that much fudge! I ended up scraping it off so if you get the brownie sundae ask for light fudge. Our waitress was so nice & quick to help us! She seemed young too which sometimes is hit or miss with waitresses. The man singing during our dinner time was 22 years old and sang Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and took some requests. He closed out with some country music. He was singing to make tips to pay for his mission trip! I loved that!!! In total, we spent about $71 for our burgers & fries, 2 desserts (they were $10 a piece), and tip for the singer + tip for our waitress plus tax. Do I think $71 is a lot for this little diner.... yes. But was $17 of that towards tipping alone... also yes. Realistically we spent about $50 on dinner itself. It makes sense but I also think $50 can be spent on a bit thicker of burger that doesn't charge extra for cheese Anyways- if you're looking for a diner experience with awesome decoration, go to JBG's !!! read more

We arrived at 7:50 pm, were seated quickly, and expected a normal dinner with our families. Instead, things started off poorly. Our waitress came to take drink orders and immediately told us we needed to hurry because they "close in 10 minutes." We apologized and even offered to leave, but another staff member stepped in and said we were fine to stay. Despite that, our waitress continued to act annoyed and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. Oddly, once the food came out, her attitude completely changed and she suddenly became very friendly. The food itself was fine -- nothing bad, nothing special, just okay. The restaurant displays a tribute to its namesake, a decorated Vietnam Veteran. As two disabled veterans traveling with our families, we expected at least basic courtesy. This opinion incorporates the entertainment as we were seated in a corner separated from said performer which nearly obstructed our view and impeded the sound. Our wait service was adequate but unfortunately not noteworthy. I had vegetable soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Not bad but the soup had a tomato base. I should have clarified. I didn't hear any complaints other than the bacon in one of four other orders was a little undercooked from the crispy that was asked for. Overall atmosphere was pleasant if more on the subdued side than expected. Although I can't heartily recommend Jackie B Goode's your experience might be better given some other reviews that put it in a more positive light. We may have hit an off-night and I wouldn't rule out another visit given the chance. However I'd ask for seating closer to the entertainment. read more

We got carry out the other night and said we'd be back for breakfast. Boy are we glad we came back. We all got the "omelette your way" (build your own). It's a good price for an omelette with choice of meat, cheese and 3 veggies. Egg whites was a $2 up charge. Came with breakfast potatoes and either a biscuit or toast, but you can upgrade that to 2 pancakes, also for $2. The cakes were huge and really good. And I love the way they put the butter in a plastic cup so it would be softened but I could choose if / how much I wanted. I ate my wife's biscuit, and it was good but not incredible. Slightly overcooked and smaller than I expected. But tasted amazing. everyone loved their omelettes. The breakfast potatoes were a little salty for me, but I'm not a salt guy, so they were probably great for everyone else. My wife loved them. Big portions too. The place was clean and well kept. I was impressed with how clean the bathrooms were. And they are totally rocking the 50's diner vibe. Right down to the working jukebox, which was cool. The hosts and servers were ultra friendly, our our server Paul took fantastic care of us. While we were there, an older guy sat down, and Paul asked if he wanted his usual order. So cool! And they had fun live music. It was country Christmas music by a woman who clearly loved Dolly Parton. Pretty fun. Evidently they have live music almost all day. This place is definitely worth checking out. They're open til 11pm so you can get a late night snack there, but I don't think breakfast runs all day, so keep that in mind. read more

This is a big fake-diner place whose focus is really on the entertainment and not the food. I'll be straight with you - the food was bland. My croissant sandwich, which had turkey, bacon and fixin's - which you'd think would be good - tasted like nothing. My wife had the catfish. Never has a piece of fish ever been so abused. The cornmeal coating was super thick, very bland, and must have been just cornmeal and water. The poor catfish was beating within an inch of its life - or rather 2/16ths of an inch because that's how thin it was. Also, very bland. Do not go here for the food. Go here for the entertainment. An older woman was up on stage doing karaoke to various oldies. She was fun - she was good and fun - she walked around and hugged people or joked with them. She was worth being here. First the restraunt is dedicated to an American Hero that must be recognized as a positive to this establishment. Other than that i cannot recommend this place. The food qualty and taste are poor, they also charge for every condiment without notice on the menu. I ordered a bowl of chili, which was 7.99 on the menu. The hostess offered cheese and onion, which i said yes. The food was no better than a low grade canned chili, with a light sprinkling of cheese and a few slivers of onion, the bill added charges of 3.89 for the cheese and 99 cents for the onion. Meaning my small bowl of chili wasnearly 13.00. Others in my group ordered other sandwiches which were overpriced and of poor quality. Stale buns and spoiled inedib ke tuna. It would be nice to say a placed dedicated to a hero was outstanding, but all in all, stay away. read more

( The name of the restaurant had me thinking of Uptown Records ) My server was quite pleasant and very good at her job! I let bad that she had two separate families that had terrible children! I I mentioned it to My server she immediately asked me if I wanted to move my seat but my food had already come so I stayed in her area. For the party melt, the bread was perfectly crisp and the onions nicely carmelized! I asked for cottage cheese in place of fries just because it was hot outside to eat so much fried food. Be t the cottage cheese was large curd and very creamy. I only had water but I would not recommend it even with lemon due to the heavy chlorinated taste! Super disappointing. We visited looking for something cute and different than what we normally get. I did a search for "best places to eat in Branson" and this was on the list. It looked cute and I like to try new places, so this was it. Pros: place was super cute and looks like a 50's styled diner with great oldies playing in the background. Most of our party ordered burgers and enjoyed those. Our server was fine... Cons: Literally everything else. "Loaded" fries for $12, sure... except they were simply a skimpy handful-ish of fries with a very small amount of shredded cheese and bacon on top. (Bacon was good) We did ask for the onion and tomato on the side. It also came with a side of ranch and a packet of sour cream. All edible, but definitely NOT worth $9+ more than the side of fries our son ordered which had double the fries. Next, the chicken fried chicken was edible, but was certainly frozen breaded chicken, packet white gravy, and instant potatoes. I was super bummed by that one. I also ordered an upgraded "premium" side salad that was an up-charge of $3.25 to the already $15+ meal. I was happy to pay that until it arrived. Again, a sparse amount of prepackaged iceberg lettuce, that was brown and mushy in some places. I just sent it back. The manager did remove the charge for a premium side. We were traveling with a baby and the men's room did not have a changing table. It's 2023....how is that even still possible? Lastly, part of their "draw" is live performances and although we were there during listed times we were told they are having a hard time finding performers. That's probably because the place was so slow for a Saturday evening and their performers are only paid by tips. When the food sucks and the place is slow, tips suffer. Overall, I would not come here again. We planned on shakes for desert but after the disappointments we had already encountered we opted to not. It is safe to say that this place is super cute to drive by, but just keep driving. There are much better places to eat in Branson, especially for the cost. Don't let the name of this place fool you folks! Jackie B Goode's anything but good. From the minute we pulled into the parking lot, my husband felt it was run down and not well kept. We decided to give it a try anyways. When we walked in it was kinda dark, probably by design, to keep you from seeing that the floors hadn't been cleaned in a while. The hostess was nice enough but our server was terrible. We sat down and he asked for our drink order which was great, but he took quite a while to get them considering the place was super slow. When he finally walked out from the back with the drinks, there was a table that he felt was more important to talk to (about his sleep apnea study he just completed) than bringing us our drinks that were on his tray. When he placed my husband's Dr. Pepper down, I was surprised it wasn't filled higher. Almost like he filled it for a child. My husband ordered the double burger plain, he even said just "meat and bread". The server then proceeded to ask if he wanted cheese. Um no, just "meat and bread". I split the Hawaiian chicken with my mom. The food was overpriced. At one point, I could see a guy working behind the counter, I'm not quite sure what he was squeezing out of a bag and into a food bucket but another girl had to come help him squeeze the rest of it out. I'll eat the sausage but I don't want to see how it's made. When the server brought us our food, he was nice enough to bring us a second plate so we could separate the food. Our plate had teriyaki sauce on the bottom rim so no matter where I grabbed it, I got teriyaki sauce on my fingers. My husband's burger didn't look too good but he said at least the fries were ok. My mom asked for a little bit more of the teriyaki sauce, the majority was on the bottom of the plate, but the server forgot us as he ended up talking to that table I mentioned earlier. I think table was the entertainment for the timeframe we were there. During our time there, a woman came from the back room, which I assume would have been the manager, wearing shorts and a T-shirt. She was talking on the phone loudly and went to the hostess / cashier station and collected money. This is not what a manager should dress like or act like in front of customers. Now this was just the food. While we were there, we noticed they have live entertainment and boy, this was anything but live, more like murder. The lady was basically singing karaoke and very VERY badly. During one of the songs she walked around the room and went up to men at the tables to sing to them. My husband not wanting this for himself, acted like he had a phone call to avoid her, even getting up from the table. So still came to our table and she got me instead ‍. He thought he was safe and sat back down but she came right back to him. This could've been so much better had the restaurant been cleaner. We can over look poor service but the cleanliness wasn't there. The entertainment itself should've driven us away but we had already ordered our food. The woman singing, God bless her for trying, was awful. She was off key so much and didn't know some of the words. I really like this place. I'm giving it a 5 out of 5 because of the effort made by the staff. I've been to this cafe 5+ times and each time the staff is extremely kind and they go out of their way to make the visit positive. The vibe is 50s-60s diner and the food is good. I love their fried pickles but can never eat the whole basket because the bottom of the basket is a pool of grease lol. The hand-cut chips are really good (could use come more salt) and the roast beef is probably my favorite. I like to end each meal here with a little cherry topped sundae! The live music is also great! The musicians play for free and rely on tips (don't forget to TIP!). It's a great place to take your family for dinner and live music in Branson, MO. read more

This place gets a solid 3 stars. I usually order a club sandwich when I come here. Can't really go wrong with that. It comes with homemade chips, but they're incredibly bland. Zero flavor at all. So sometimes I get cottage cheese instead. It'd be nice if they'd sprinkle a seasoning salt on the chips while they're still hot, but it is what it is. I could swear I've seen seasoning on them once, but it's never consistent. You kinda know when you come here that the food is just frozen, warmed up items for the most part, so I typically stick with the sandwiches. It's kinda nice to listen to the music in the evenings as well, when you have musicians that can carry a tune anyway. Restrooms are usually clean and well-stocked. Service is typically pretty spotty though. Waitresses seem to get pulled in too many different directions here. Seems like they're always understaffed or overworked. The waitresses are never moving slowly though or doddling. They're always busy! Most visits, we'll be waiting on our waitress to finish making shakes/desserts before we can get our ticket and go. Kind of annoying, but I seriously doubt it's their choice. This restaurant is also open late, so it's our go-to when we've waited too long to get dinner situated for the night. We went here for dinner. They were ready for us. There were 80 of us on two tour buses. We were seated as soon as we arrived. I had the shrimp plate with. Baked potato and a roll. The shrimp was really good but the dipping sauce was kinda bland. The baked potato came with sour cream only and was still wrapped in foil when served. The roll was to cold for butter so I didn't eat it. The service was very slow and the employees didn't seem care. They spent the down time around the cash register until our food was ready. Our waitress was very understanding and went out of her way to make sure we had a great dining experience. I had a double decker BLT, which was really good. Love the straw-style fries. The others had a fried chicken sandwich, and the wives split a Ruben. Everyone raved about how good the food was. Renee, our waitress went above and beyond. Super sweet, fast and friendly. I was with 3 other people when we walked in it felt dirty and when we sat down we ordered and the waitress was nice but the food wasn't good my drink was ok I got a cherry limeade and it was fine other then the drink itself the sherbet in it was fine though. My grandma's tea was weak, my cousins mault tasted like metal, and my other cousins lemonade was apparently strong, but she's 8 so you know. We didn't even end up getting our food because we decided to cancel out order and we actually got comped of everything and we didn't have to pay which was really nice. The fries were greasy and cold and you could taste the old grease needed changing. The green beans came out of a can and were cold and tasteless. We wanted a quick breakfast as we were passing through town on a Tuesday and stopped in not really knowing what to expect. The decor was very retro but in a fun, bright way. The food came out quickly and it was probably the best French toast I've ever had (which is saying something because I love French toast!) They even had a live singer who had a great voice. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is the service. It wasn't bad, per say, but it was strange. Despite there being only a few tables of people, the staff seemed very rushed. One very small scoop of very cool mash potatoes, Yeast Rolls hardly any flavor. Wife had Side Salad and Cup of Soup and was charged as a regular Soup of the Day (bowl) and Fresh Garden Salad ($13.99). Should have been $3.99+$3.99. Soup Actually tasted good but was again luke warm. Children meals were adequate ...Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich $13.99. All total over $60. I ordered a chef salad and it was wilted beyond recognition. The waitress knew it was horrible looking. She said she would take it off our bill. Well then a manager came over to the table and said I had eaten half of it and said I would have to pay for it. I said that was not right and she informed me she was going to call the police and have me arrested. I asked what for, I am going to pay the rest of the bill but not for the salad. So far it's interesting..we came in time to hear a live performance .. the singer is great! Singing the oldies! The appetizer (loaded fries) were really good! Savory, cheesy, with a little bit of spice. We tried a buffalo wing, delish (not as good as scooters) but still really good, sauce was spicy. He is a tall , light complected, light color hair , hard of hearing(deaf on one ear). If he is your waiter GOOD LUCK! If you don't mind dealing with a rude waiter then go for it. I couldn't tell if he was being a jerk or if he was inexperienced or if he was having some type of melt down. I understand that when you're busy it is difficult to be at three places at once when you're in the service Industry, but just a note for you sir, never raise your voice at a customer paying for your service telling them to "hold on " when they were asking politely for a refill (it was a kid that asked for it). I've said it before and I'll say it again , Customer Service is number one, without customers, you don't get business. We were celebrating my nieces birthday and this man made our blood boil, but we kept it as cordial as we could and left as soon as we could. NEVER AGAIN!!
