I love Bravo for their produce because they tend to be quite a bit less expensive than Publix and they also have more selections for international foods. The only thing I wish they offered was splitting of in-store packaging of produce. Sometimes I don't need 9 jalapeños at a time, but they're not sold individually. This is my go to place when I want to pick up the most fresh Cuban sandwich for my mama and the roasted pork chunks. They also have other prepared foods like Ropa Vieja, pescado asado and much more .All the veggies look beautiful they even have mamay and breadfruit and so much more at a reasonable . The store is clean and well stocked . They even have a place to eat lunch or have a coffee with desert. Staff is friendly and welcoming . Parking is a breeze. On May 27, 2024 After packing the groceries in the car I realized I misplaced my phone at this Bravo, located on Pembroke & flamingo rd. After searching through my personal belongings, I resorted by going back into the store to the cashier for assistance , asking if she located the phone anywhere. She helped me as much as she can while being busy. I then politely asked the manager to use a phone to locate the phone and the manager was not being helpful, giving me a nasty attitude. When she referred me over to security - he hesitated to help me, I had to beg and being in distress - I was not pleased nor happy as a customer at the location. I will hesitate to shop at that location again due to the lack of service and hospitality the staff, especially managers and security guards has. read more

I'm not going to lie, what prompted me to step foot in Bravo were the beautiful shapely Colombian women who shop there. The first couple of times I came to Bravo I was truly mesmerized by the beauty of not only the Colombians, but the other Latin American beauty's who pried the aisles. I guarantee if you bring The Donald here, he'll scrap that wall in a second. But Bravo is much more than just beautiful Latin American women. What really impressed me about this place is they have a whole aisle dedicated to Jamaican products, and I'm talking about "made in Jamaica" products. This is unique and much appreciated because in South Florida literally all the so-called Jamaican grocery stores are just "Goya depositories", most of them don't even have single product from Jamaica. But it doesn't stop there, you can find all kind of exotic fruits and tubers from south/central America and Caribbean like sweet sop, neeseberry/sapodilla, star apple, passion fruit, yellow/white yams and cassava etc. In reality Bravo is a one stop shop for Central/South American & Caribbean foods, bakery items, seafoods and meats. When I feel like grubbing salt fish and ackee or any salt fish dish to that matter, I always get my salted cod or pollack from Bravo. Though I've been coming to Bravo for a couple of years, what prompted me to write my review was the nostalgic feeling I experienced today. At the entrance of Bravo was the popular Jamaican food outlet Dutchpot giving free food samples, inside Grace inc. a huge Jamaican food conglomerate was promoting their local Jerk festival. While walking through the Jamaican aisle, the sight of bammy, spiced bread and the aroma of the coconut flavored bulla took over my soul, it really made me miss Jamaica. One today's date i went to the seafood department on 3 different occasions, on my third visit before getting an acknowledgement on what I wanted a woman with long black hair in a ponytail with no name tag told me she is closed. The two previous times I was not helped because she was helping other customers, on all occasions the attendant did not give me eye contact and only gave me her back. I then went to the store manager (lady with blondish hair and white glasses young) explained to her the situation she told me the seafood department closes at nine I showed her my watch and she checked her phone and it was not 9:00pm. When the manager and I reached the seafood attendant, she took her in a corner and began speaking Spanish which I only speak English which was not a problem because my girlfriend is Latin. As the store manager explained that customers must be served until 9pm the seafood attendant was still combative and argumentative towards her supervisor which could not keep her to remain professional. I was surprised that the attendant showed such insubordinate behavior and would say on occasions that there are cameras to prove it was 9pm when I requested to be helped. I did not want to purchase anything because of the way I was treated and saw that the store manager was trying to assist but the attendant over powered her with intimidation tactics. read more

I needed to order holiday dinner at the last minute. They were very accommodating, and very organized.

The customer service here is beyond subpar if you aren't Hispanic. I vowed not to come here again and I haven't been in over year. Today I made an exception because they were the closest grocery store that carried a product I needed for a recipe. In the 15 minutes that I was in the store I encountered 2 employees who spoke absolutely no English and the second employee completely ignored me until she saw someone else who worded there walking by and said something to them in Spanish at which point the new person asked if I needed help. When I checked out my cashier didn't say one word to me. Not one word. Didn't greet me. Didn't ask if I found everything ok. Didn't even tell me my total. Next time I'll drive the 20 minutes to the next available market that carries Caribbean groceries. read more

They have a shady company called Royal Prestige and lady named Maritza Reyes selling thousand dollar frying pans to old people that are not thinking clearly and have dementia. Bravo opened this business inside the store closest to Century Village and they are getting their social security numbers and opening credit lines to buy all these unnecessary items. The lady does not even answer her phone. They don't give receipts. They are misleading the public and causing financial harm to older residents of Miramar and Pembroke Pines. Yesterday August 12th I went to this pace and both some items for about $17.22. The cashier mixed all the items. and I had to spent some minutes fixing my bags in a closer table. When I was leaving, I was approached in a rude way for the Security Guard asking me for the receipt and he made a search of all the items. He never identified himself and never kept the social distancing and explained why he was treating me in that way. I am elderly and my concern now is that I was exposed to COVID-19 because the agent failed to follow the safety rules and I was feared of my security in that place. So I picked it up and decided to get something for myself. Made my way to beer section and I did not notice at first but a woman was following me around. Their little RACIST spy game got derailed when a man dropped a 12 pack of beer and I heard her call for clean up in Spanish. That is when I realized, she was conveniently there to watch me. Then I went to register. The lady that cashed me out was in a bad mood. Could tell she did not want t to be there. And it was not enough that I paid, this wannabe rental cop decides to come up and look at her register to make sure I paid. He had to put his face an inch from her computer screen because, I guess he was blind and his big glasses were not enough. I knew for sure then that he sent the previous woman to go follow me. I asked him,"is everything ok." He said,"yes", with a stupid smile. So ultimately it t was a frustrating moment and I and my mom went back and returned everything and told a manager why we were returning things. That same blind rental cop then said somethings in Spanish and he was so proud of himself. So beware, if you are black, do not go here because you might make a scene because you got a bunch uneducated old people that , I guess they believe they are better than anyone that is black or with darker skin. The best part about it is, if you are going to be racist, can you at least hire rental cops that have the brain capacity to understand the optics. Don't come here if you don't speak Spanish. I like the selection but you need to spend a lot of time checking expiration dates as most thing are usually expired. You also need to locate items on your own if you don't speak Spanish. I walked out today because I tried to get coffee and both the employees and the customers were shouting back and forth in Spanish and in no particular order, and I suppose because I don't speak it, I wasn't entitled to coffee. Also had issues with the cashier because she had problems scanning an item and I tried to tell her I didn't need it so don't bother, but she couldn't understand me so proceeded to spend more time trying to scan and key it in. This is one of the most well stocked, clean friendly markets I have shopped in, when I visit South Florida I have to stock up on Caribbean food items. essentials like curry, browning for black cake..this store is close to my destination in Pembroke Pines. I will not look at Publix fish or meat because of the smell of the seafood case. This Bravo market has no odors at all! Especially none from fish! The isles are well stocked with a large variety of freshly rotated goods. Everything BUT my beloved betapac curry ..Whomever gave this place less than the four stars? Awful, awful dirty, smelly grocery store. The only reason I ever stop here is because it's on the way home, but I always regret it. Half the time I just dump the stuff I was going to buy because of the ridiculously long checkout lines (severely understaffed). Many vegetables they force you to buy in a pre-weighed package instead of letting you buy in bulk. Want one pepper? Nope, you have to buy 10, with half of them rotten. While the vegetables tend to be a tiny bit cheaper here, they are obviously much lower grade than you'd get elsewhere. You'll pick through half the avocados/tomatoes looking for an unblemished one before realizing they're ALL bruised and ugly. The meat is similarly suspect. I used to really like this store because I can go here to buy the non traditional items that aren't available in my local supermarket. It's a bit out of the way for me though. So not long ago I went to Bravo to make a seafood purchase. I asked for 2 lbs of conch. The man behind the counter said, "go pay for it first and then bring me back the paid receipt." I've never seen this before but I did what he said. I finished my shopping and then when I was done, I returned to the back of the store and waited until the man was done assisting some other people and then I handed him the receipt and he handed me my purchase. My problem with this is MY TIME!!! I don't have time to wait in line to make my purchase then return after paying to WAIT IN LINE AGAIN to collect my purchase. I think it's a ridiculous way to run a supermarket. You want to pick and choose who has to pay for their purchase in advance??? And you base this choice on what???? Because one thing I did notice was that he handed the other person their seafood purchase right then and there. They weren't made to pay first and then come back to collect. WTF kinda practice is this? Is it because I look a certain way? Bad practice!!! I felt some type of way when I left and almost got a refund for everything. $49 I just spent here and I felt like a criminal or something. So that was the last time I've been to Bravo and I will not return. I'll spend my money where it is appreciated and where I'm treated like a customer! Came to Bravos with my mom for some cleaning supplies and groceries that are not offered at any other supermarket. I found this location little bigger and cleaner than the other Bravo supermarkets I have been to. I ended up finding deals on bleach and Multi Purpose Cleaner. I also wanted to find if the store carries the brand Gasolina which is a cocktail drink and they did not have it. I stopped at the wine section and found that they carry a Merlot that supports the non kill shelters for animals. Bravo's carries some particular ones that have not seen anywhere else that's why I like to go here to try what they have. They have a little Cafe & Deli area which you can order a coffee while shopping and order food to go that's cooked . They also have a smoothie area and they give samples of these natural juice smoothies that they make. I tried the mango. They also have a cell phone store that sells and repairs phones. They also have jewelry that they sell. Those two particular departments have different hours that they are open. While going through the aisles we stopped at an area that has samples of tea that was good for your health the gentleman's name was Chris and he offered my mother the large pint ready in the bottle for 6.99. He was very informative on this product and handed us some brochures I will be reading up on it and seeing if my mother likes the product. This store is kind of far from where I live but when I am in the area I will definitely comeback. read more

Not the best looking of grocery stores but worth a look if you want to purchase some good snacks from latin countries. Besides the slight smells from the fish area and the foot marks at the entrance, once you pass that, the store has a lot of stock items to view. I wouldn't recommend to purchase any fresh produce, deli, or meat/fish since they aren't too fresh tasting. I would definitely come to shop here if you wanted to stock up on pantry items, chips and beer, cleaning supplies, or some dairy products. Snacks is what I mainly go for and I always shoot for Colombian or Peruvian (stick to my roots). And, the reason why I find the snacks here better or more stock of, comparing to a visit to a Colombian/Peruvian restaurant, is the ones they offer-- for the Colombian Yelpers, they have Yupis, Barriletes, and Margaritas; and for the Peruvian Yelpers, they sell turron peruano. read more

Aesthetically, its not on the level of Publix which I believe leads you to think that the prices would be so much different (lower) not really. I'd expect to get a staple like plantains cheaper here...nope cheaper at Publix. Dont look for friendly and helpful, they're not but there are one or two friendly and willing to help shelf stockers (could be that they're males, and well, I'm a female!) The ladies at the register are cold and unwelcoming, you're hard pressed to even find a shopping cart at times. But I would go there again to get the particular items I need however this store wont take me away from Publix.
