    Quesabirrias

I should've checked reviews before going in as there is so little. First impression it was empty inside it almost seemed like they were closed. There was only one other table there aside from ours. So the time for food to be out seemed a bit long considering there wasn't many people in there. The service was great the man was friendly. The food however was not great. Everything was dry the tortillas were hard. The asada was pretty good and tender but dry. The Quesabirrias were a no from both of us who got them. Not sure if it was the meat or the cheese but something was very salty. The consomé was pretty decent however we would not consider coming again. However I do wish this business the best and hope they can improve. Please consider my review as good constructive criticism and not anything bad.

I LOVE the tacos here. The vibe is also super nostalgic to me. Love dropping in here for a quiet lunch when I'm in town.

If you're anywhere in the Woodland area and are craving delicious food, look no further than…read moreDoggeros. This spot takes classic hot dogs and burgers and levels them up with bold Mexican flavors, and it 100% works. My personal favorites are the birria and vampiros. The birria is rich, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the vampiros come crispy, cheesy, and loaded--easily some of the best bites on the menu. The vibe is casual and welcoming with a chill outdoor setup, and the staff keeps things friendly and fast. Pro tip: skip the line by ordering ahead online. They're usually pretty quick with the orders. Bottom line: Doggeros is a low-key gem serving creative, crave-worthy comfort food you'll keep coming back for.

I asked for "lots of extra ketchup" after ordering a clásica burger with no mayo (comes with…read morewell-seasoned fries), a Diet Coke, and leaving a 20% tip up front, without knowing what to expect. I literally spend 4 digits on burgers every year, always ask for "lots of extra ketchup", and am never shorted, until today. The burger meat tasted below average and frozen. My family has been in the cattle ranching business since 1976, about 20 minutes from woodland. My siblings and I are third generation owners. Every time I asked the guy for more ketchup, he gave me two additional tiny packets, and I finally stopped asking bc he looked annoyed after I only had about 50% of my preferred amount of ketchup for a large burger and tons of thick fries. Moreover, they didn't even walk the order to me and ***gave me a bunch of sauce I didn't want or ask for*** WTF. Ordered the clásica burger with no mayo and they decided to drench it in guacamole which is not on the ingredients on the menu and I didn't want it. I didn't ask for a remake bc the guy had already dismissed my ketchup request. I ran out of Diet Coke (full to the top with ice) and didn't want to ask for more bc I didn't want to deal with the guy again. I spent a minute trying to wipe off the sloppy guac spread and I'm eating a very large salty meal while thirsty because I ran out of fountain Diet Coke halfway through and didn't want to talk to the guy again, to ask him for more. At any other burger place (and I'm literally a yelp elite member), they either 1) give plenty of ketchup the first time I ask, 2) they ask "is that enough ketchup?", or they 3) provide self service ketchup. Any of these options are perfectly acceptable. Virtually all restaurants do this because they understand that obsession over customer service optimizes for customer lifetime value, creates happy customers, and only costs them 12 cents. They've perhaps lost hundreds of future dollars from me because I spend an enormous amount eating out and am literally working one block away. I don't know if he owns it or just works there. This was on 7/26 at ~4PM. He would not be f****** bothered. I tipped him 20% too, up front, showing him that I expected at least reasonable service. And remember, they don't even walk the order to you. You walk up to the kitchen and order. You find your own seat, clean up after yourself, and place the tray in a designated area after you're done. I'm okay with all that, but not for a 20% up front tip with rude service. Won't be coming back even though it's profoundly convenient bc it's near a bunch of fantastic businesses I regularly frequent and enjoy. I hated my experience here. Could've had a great customer. Again, I work a block away. The fries were good though, for frozen fries. Well seasoned.

Used to come here for the weekly/daily specials when I worked in Woodland 2017-2019. On Mondays…read morethey have mole, Tuesday tacos, Wednesday burritos, Thursday chile verde or colorado, Friday nachos! Some of their neighboring businesses have been boarded up, but I'm glad they are still around on that corner. The chico tacos are your typical street soft tacos which are $1.99 each on Taco Tuesday, but I love their crispy tacos which are $2.99 each on Taco Tuesday. This most recent visit I got one asada, one chile verde pork, and one adobada crispy taco, and an horchata. Chips and salsa bar complimentary, and a discount if you pay cash instead of card. I will say that the adobada and chile verde are delicious, but probably not the wisest protein for tacos since they're wet. The crispy tacos were cheesy goodness, and the asada reminded me of a quesadilla but better. I love me horchata, but perhaps next time I'll try the cucumber lime or Jamaica hibiscus drink to switch it up.

It had no guacamole, no sour cream, a tad bit of pico and two strands of cheese for $18.35 crazy! The tacos were dry, no flavor. Next time I'll just take the drive to the one in Davis. Idk if it's the cooks or the ownership but I won't be going back. Yes, Ik they don't give two S***s loosing 1 customer.
