These burgers and fries are the best we found in Columbus so far. I order the Smokey Jalapeño burger which also includes Swiss, bacon, and bbq sauce. He likes the Blacklick burger with pepper jack, bacon, mushroom, and onion. The breakfast is in one word, AMAZING! My husband and I each ordered the Ultimate Breakfast was only $8.50 and it will fill us up until supper. It had the most perfect hash browns and bacon! Pancakes and French Toast were very good. We came in at 5pm on a Sunday with no other customers in the place. We ordered apps and our food at the same time, but they all took about 45 minutes to come out. Food wasn't bad, but service was slow and food was slow. Probably won't make the drive back out here. read more

Not only that but they treat their workers terribly. In conversing with staff found out they haven't paid several workers and have been stealing from their paychecks. Irish pub situated in the tri-city neighborhood of Blacklick, Gahanna and New Albany. The parking is bountiful and there is easy exit and entrance here off Reynoldsburg - New Albany Road and Clark State. I pass this location often and decided to finally stop in for a bite to eat and a drink. Upon entering we were greeted by a welcoming staff member who were eager to please. We sat at the bar amongst many others that we realized later were regulars. The indoor dining area was right next to the bar and I noticed many kids who sat with their families. First impressions didn't strike me as the family friendly pub but I will go with it. I have heard from a few friends that the pizza and wings is great here along with the burger. I came with my husband and we settled on pizza and wings and wanted to save the burger as a second visit option. We drank a few cocktails while we waited and took the vibe in. There are plenty of TVs to catch your favorite sports game. They had golf, hockey and football on tonight. The bar was very comfortable and a good size that it fit quite a bit of people without feeling cramped. Back to why we came, pizza and wings. We ordered the 10" pizza ( size of a house plate ) that was full of toppings (we ordered a make your own with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and peppers) The pizza was crispy throughout and a perfect size to share. It's not the best pizza I have had but not the worst. The wings were a decent price (10 for $7.50) and they were meaty. They were a little over fried for my taste and lacked sauce, even though the sauce was laddled on top. It was sweet not spicy like we thought. The name was spicy BBQ and I expected some heat. Disappointed. I left satisfied with our bill, got great and attentive service but wasn't "wowed." This is a local hangout spot for the residences nearby but not my first choice of a hangout. I love this fun place! Its been in the Flanagan family since the mid 50's. It's such a fun place. It's a fine Irish pub, a great place to watch the game and in the summer great place for music driNks and good. St, Patrick's Day here is a must! Mat, the magnificent owner of this fun establishment , puts out an amazing and incredible spread of Irish food to celebrate the Awesome heritage of Ireland. I've enjoyed many dinners and entertainment here and it's awesome. Their pizza is I tasty and can't go wrong with any of their delicious food items. Also this is the place to be for.....get this breakfast! For breakfast you can enjoy a refreshingly crisp mimosa or spicy Bloody Mary with a fluffy omelette, or get their Ultimate breakfast and get an incredibly delicious morning feast. Their pancakes and French toast are thick and delicious. Their omelettes are fluffy and yummy! Their server Heather J is friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. She made sure the times that's I've been here that the food was delivered in a timely manner and was still hot. There are at times wwgen they be short of wait staff but be patient ..all of the servers do their best too get to each quickly. It is really ggood to see the owner helping out with running food, cleaning tables and even taking orders to assist his employees. I love this family restaurant. A few friends and I ate here after a day out in the sun hiking and were absolutely starving and looking for a hearty meal! We started with beers, had fried pickles and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, and then I ordered a burger (I'm sorry I don't remember the name, but it was one akin to a jalapeño burger). We were so anxious to receive our appetizers because we were so hungry, but I will say, when they arrived, I was disappointed by the quantity. There was only enough for each of us to have one pickle and one mozzarella stick, which wasn't great. However, they were both delicious, hot, and well-fried. It was probably okay that we didn't over eat on appetizers because my burger was giant! I will always order a jalapeño burger if it's available, and this time was no different. Unique to this burger was the barbecue sauce smothered on top; it made for a messy burger, but it was so tasty! I didn't end up finishing it because it was so huge, but I really wanted to. Overall, I enjoyed my time here; especially after a long day it was nice to sit on a quiet, relaxed patio. I enjoyed my food, despite my issue with quantity in regards to the apps, and would probably order the same thing again if I go back. Love a hometown restaurant like this! read more

I've been going to Flanagan's for 28 years now...hard to believe! They have amazing food, cold beer, great service, live music on weekends, and a newly renovated outdoor patio and bar. I can't forget the party room, which was renovated in the past year as well. We've had several functions there through the years and always had a great time. As for food, my first suggestion is the pizza. Pepperoni and cheese is my favorite, but all of the toppings are fresh and delicious. The crust is crispy, which is my favorite. Not too thick and not too thin. Other favorites are the grilled chicken salad (which is HUGE), any hamburger, their fresh cut fries, the chicken tenders with teriyaki sauce and their chicken quesadillas. So I've never been to this place before. Supposedly they are famous for their pizzas of which I was NOT in the mood. The best part of my meal was the actual drink. Because their Diet Coke dispenser was not working, I did get that drink for free as I asked for it. Good thing is that I didn't get charged for it (as she was planning on throwing it away). I ordered a 10 pcs "lemon pepper" dry rub and tasted awful. It's taste as if they sprinkled the entire bottle onto the wings after being cooked. I left 1/2 of the order intact and left it there to be thrown away. I sat on the bar and my waitress came only once for the initial order (to later find out that she is the Manager. After that, she didn't come back again and someone else took over. Since the food was BAD I ordered a chicken quesadilla via another server. Mind you, this order was taken from someone else who came by to see if I needed anything else. I asked them to retrieve the wings with 1/2 of the order intact. They never asked if the food was o.k. So now I'm waiting to review the quesadillas... the food was NOTHING to brag about. I came on a Saturday around 6:00 p.m. I initially sat on their outdoors and it took a long time for service. So I decided to sit at the bar instead. I enjoy going out and treating myself but when the SERVICE and FOOD is not to my satisfaction, I can not give it a 5 Stars. The only reason I gave it a 3 Stars it's because if the service provided afterwards. After I paid and tipped, I did complain about the food and service and provided my experience in their location. The *other* Flanagan's is such a mixed bag of stars for me. So........here's the breakdown on what they do well ........ and not so well. Flanagan's, for me, is close to home (five stars for proximity). On busy nights they have a bar side and a restaurant side (five stars, since I can take the kids to the family-friendly restaurant side or go solo/with wife on the bar side). Flanagan's offers up some pretty decent entertainment and they sport an awesome patio for those warmer months (four and a half stars). On most nights you will find the place filled with locals who all seem to know each other. On weekends, it's a bit more crowded (especially in summer months with the entertainment/patio). Service at Flanagan's is sometimes spotty - always friendly, but sometimes inattentive (two stars). The beer, for what really appears to be a "dive bar" is a bit pricey and the Guinness just never tastes right (lack of pours/not cleaning out the lines is my best guess). It took me a while to find the right beer on tap from a price/taste standpoint. Flanagan's has a decent menu. The pizza is pretty good and the fried pork sandwich is so damn good that my mouth is watering as I type (they do the red onion the right way - sliced nice and thin). This place also has, frankly, one of the best burgers that you will find in the Columbus area. If you love burgers, it's worth a visit just for that. Seriously - get the burger. Did I mention that the burger is really good? Overall, with heavy weight being given to proximity and burgers, I have to give Flanagan's four stars. For just grabbing a beer during happy hour . . . .well, that's another story. read more

Great locals dive bar with the perfect mix of blue collar and white collar workers. Small selection of draft beers, great pizza and burgers but so so wings. The early barmaid is just snarky enough to make you hate and love her at the same time. During warm weather they have one of the best patios around with live acoustic music. First off they were out of two of the three menu items that we ordered. When our orders arrived my wife received the wrong side. When we told the server she said we were wrong. She said she brought what was on the ticket and the ticket wasn't wrong. I thought she was joking but that's how it stood until a few minutes later another server brought out our side and said here's your side and rudely sat it on the table. I told him that the other server said we were wrong and he rolled his eyes and walked away. Food was actually not too bad but the service and atmosphere were one of the most rude that I've experienced. The staff is always willing to go above and beyond. My favorite time visiting this establishment was dominating a huge pizza with my girlfriend, and looking at the ads under the table top. Service has fallen off severely here in the past couple years. Sitting at the bar for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from 3 different employees behind the bar. Finally snagged the waitress from the floor. Use to be a regular, that has stopped. New owners took their hands off the wheel. This place will stay in business because it's conveniently close. Service staff should stay off the cell phone and engage the customer. Disappointing to see it go south. read more

We have been coming here for years. on Wednesday night we ordered our favorite 5 topping pizza, picked it up and when we opened it at home-- we were shocked. The pizza looked like it was a frozen pizza- crust was thick and toppings were slim. I called the manager and was told they were in a meeting. I was asked to call back in an hour - which I did and manager was still in a meeting - I was told they will call you and no one called.
