I've yet to visit a Flanigan's where the food, service, and atmosphere are not extremely consistent. My typical go-tos are the ribs (best anywhere, as is their coleslaw), pasta Caesar w blackened mahi-mahi, wings, & nachos. Every time I go, the food is spot on and the service is fun and friendly. This Kendall location is no exception and glad it's my new local spot. Oh, and one of the BEST things there..... their BBQ sauce!!! I was going to order to go tonight, but I went elsewhere. Why, might you ask? They wanted nearly $4 in service fees (10%) for 1 appetizer and 1 entree, and that fee does not go to the person who prepared my order, it goes straight into the owner's pocket. $4 may not be that much money, but of course I always tip a little on to go (not 18-20%+ like dine in, but I leave 10% or a couple dollars, whichever is more). While I abhor service fees that don't go to the driver, I don't complain about the fee + tip for delivery - that's an additional service being provided. Someone told me the additional charge is for boxes/to go supplies, but that doesn't explain a 10% fee. I love the food, the rockin rib rolls are amazing and they have some of the best ribs in South Florida. But I'm only doing dine in here, and not often. read more

I want to start off by saying that this place is one of our favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. Today it was still no different. We entered the restaurant somewhere around 3 PM and waited approximately 20 minutes to get our table which was a hightop by the bar. Our server was the bartender. Her name was Christi. She was fantastic. However, my main complaint is that we did order the nachos. I have included a photo of the description of the plate. We received anything but loaded nachos. Everything that we were given including the guacamole and The pico de gallo were placed on the side of the plate. There is nothing loaded about this plate. Also, the nachos were burnt. We also ordered the potato skins and those were fantastic. One item that you can never go wrong by ordering at this place, the ribs. No one does ribs better. But then again, you all know this! . But, if you're looking for a really good plate of nachos, this is definitely not the place to order them. Our nachos were dry and they were definitely not loaded. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the St. Patrick's holiday. All the way to staff was dressed in green. And they were all very pleasant and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised that Flannigans at Kendall was complying with the CDC guidelines. My friends and I came after a day at the beach. I went up to the hostess and requested a table and just as before my contact number was requested but was informed that I would need to wait in my car. Once I received my text that my table was ready, I was seated in a new kind of outdoor side seating area between the Flannigans location and their liquor store next door. The seatings were six feet apart with fans for cooling and fake grass to give it a backyard feel. I actually liked the set up. The other seatings are next to the street, looks close to the street but I have not experienced it yet to review or comment. Our waiter Willow was friendly and attentive, the margaritas refreshing and delicious. Aside from the fries, we had also ordered dolphin Caesar salad but I was too hungry to take a moment and take a picture. Just left this place. Let me start with saying this, the vibe was infectious. However, the ribs are substandard for baby backs. I had a bar tender by the name of Astrid and she was nice initially. When we got our bill there was a few incorrect charges. When they were brought up to her after she charged me for celery and carrots that I didn't ask for she responded you ate them. The worst Flanigan's there is Specially for To Go orders 3 times in a row with about 3/4 weeks in between I order the most simple thing there is "Pasta Ceaser Salad" 1) First time , they sent me a salad with no pasta and half cooked chicken 2) Second time , they sent a pasta salad with Caesar dressing in it , was more like pasta drenched in Caesar dressing tbh 3) Third time which is the last one They sent the pasta and salad But no Ceaser dressing in it or on the side ! Such a horrible place. There is no rule for closing. One night 1:30 am is the last call. The other night serving at 1:50 am. alcohol. Absolutely awful. General manager was terrible, managers working for him just as bad (the one we dealt with) the worst customer service, rude, dismissive, argumentative and just beyond disgusting. Was accused of something by a server that happened a month prior and when managers approached us they continuously insisted that they were right... which they were not. What a bad experience. The ribs were under cooked. Asked for them to be coked longer and it took forever to get it back. At least 20 minutes. The rest of us had already finished eating. 07/11/2023 @ 845pm I am literally sooo upset with today's visit!! I am a regular like 3-4 times a week at Flanigans at Kendall and the manager today (LISANDRA) literally kicked us out after about two hours of being there because I had to bring out my stroller. My son was in a booster but started getting cranky so I brought out the stroller so we can finish our meal and drinks ... she immediately came to let us know it was a fire hazard as we were sitting close to the bar ... i understood and asked if there was a way to accommodate us sitting wise ... we were willing to move to any table that the stroller can be in nobody's way ... she immediately stated we had to go on the LONG WAITING LIST ... I suggested that we can be put in the next available table and the party on top of the list takes our table :.. same freaking thing?? Unless it was a far fetched idea for her lack of problem solving. She made us wait acting like she was solving the problem but ultimately came back with a lack of resolution and made us leave. I have never been so embarassed in my life as a parent with a child in a restaurant. Am I crazy to think that my regular restaurant where I go with my family nieces nephews and cousins on the regular isnt kid friendly? Or the staff isn't kid friendly... I understand it's a Friday night and it's busy but we have to get up because we have kids, in order to accommodate the parties with no kids? There was several witnesses to this embarrassment and honestly our favorite place became an uncomfortable place! People approached us at the parking lot to ask what happened and agreed what horrible POOR customer service was provided. I am not a person to complain or rant in this way but we felt so discriminated as a family for being at a family restaurant with a stroller ... it was a horrible treatment even the server was embarrassed asked us if we were okay to move elsewhere and we stated multiple times we had no problem with that but the manager (LISANDRA) in shift did not allow that, she said we had almost been there for two hours we had to leave. During this whole process she was snarking and smiling with the other servers, which AGAIN showed her lack of professionalism and customer service.
